Not as great as the other books. SNOODOO!! This book is one that I suggest that you do not skip, as it gets confusing is you haven’t read this. I have been a Christian all my life so I don’t approve of Sundew and Willow being together. If Willow was a boy that would be great but she isn’t. At first I thought it was a few typos but it’s not. It kind of comes up in books 14 and 15 but definitely not as much. I can let it slide but... The book is great and the series is awesome and Bumblebee is SO funny but just look out for this book :/ If you read it I just wanted you to know this

My favorite book in the series 🏳️‍🌈. Sundew X willow is amazing, tui thank you so much for including lgbtq+ characters in this series, I was so happy when I learned they were dating. They are such a cute couple!!! This book is amazing, funny, actiony and suspenseful. Also very well written. And to the Christians who left reviews: I’m not against your religion at all, but please stop trying to force it on people. I’m bisexual, so you saying stuff like “god created boys to love girls and that’s it” kinda hurts. Please just leave us alone and let us be ourselves, we’re not doing anything to you. Part 32. The little Reaperwing opened her eyes to see unfriendly eyes. She tried to struggle but she was tied up. Her eyes shifted around scanning the area. The dragons were preparing for something. ‘What do they want with me?’ She thought. The ropes against her scales really hurt. Although she could figure something out. She gathered as much saliva in her mouth as possible and let it drip out of her mouth onto the ropes. They sizzled. Apparently they didn’t know that Reaperwings had acid saliva. The ropes snapped off her mouth and a dragon turned his head to look at her. She immediately played dead as though she was still knocked out. But she used her antenna to sense his every movement. He was reaching for the rope. He was going to put it on her. ‘No! Not again!’ She thought. Right before he put it on her mouth she launched at him with a snarl. She bit his hand and her yowled in pain. She was still not big enough to bite anywhere else. The dragon dug his claws into her neck. She hissed then yanked his entire talon off. He felt back screaming. Everyone ran to him wile she finally ate. Blood dripping from her teeth. She thought for a moment then realized what she wanted to name herself. ‘My name is Snapper.’ She thought proudly. “Get over her you little-“ that dragon got cut off as she spat at him. “My eyes!” He shrieked. She took that moment to bite her ropes off. She tumbled to the ground wile more dragons were coming. ‘Can’t get caught! I don’t want to die.’ She realized she was growing. (Because it only takes one day for them to grow.) Her black scales were sleek and she smiled. Then her instincts kicked in. ‘I must borrow.’ She thought frantically. She spread her wings then suddenly a dragon tackled her. Snapper whipped around frantically. “Wait stop! I’m not going to hurt you!” The dragon on top of her said. Snapper wasn’t sure but she stopped struggling and sat down. The dragon looked at her terrified but still trying to look nice. Snapper arched her back and hissed. “I just want to know your name.” She said. “No you don’t!” Snapper said backing away tail and tentacles raised. “It’s not a trap! I promise.” She said. Snapper slowly lowered her tentacles and tail. But kept her teeth bared. “Okay. I just want to know where the rest of your tribe went. We haven’t seen any besides you.” Snapper made a clicking noise of some sort. “Burrowing. I need to go! One day left.” She turned away leaving the dragon. The next day…. The ships touched down. “Everyone adored!” Called the aliens. “We are moving you to another planet similar to yours. But please hurry! The Reaperwings will swarm soon.” They said. Grim hissed. Little did they know that they were prepared. He clicked several times. And all the dragons down there picked their heads up. The Musicwings were surrounding the island. They would go in last. The light of the sun suddenly disappeared. As millions upon millions of Reaperwings were swarming towards them. They covered the sky like night. “Run!” The aliens shouted. “Not yet no!” Grim sprang from his hiding spot and attacked a Shadowing. Many more Reaperwings dove down. “Musicwings! Now!” A dragon called. The Reaperwings flew up away until they were far enough where it wouldn’t hurt. Suddenly Twilightwings were flying towards them. “They lived?!” Dragons on the island hissed. But the Twilightwings were outnumbered way to greatly. “Get them.” Alpha command. They swarmed right too them. “We have to help them!” Star yelped. “We are outnumbered! And after what they’ve done?” Fade growled. But wile they were arguing it was already too late. Twilightwing bones were raining from the sky as they dropped them onto the Musicwings. The sound became less loud but still not quite enough. “Rain of death! Switch your spikes to kill!” Alpha orders in their own language. “Everyone hurry!” The aliens hissed. The Reaperwings then shot their spikes straight down like rain the deadly spikes stung on them. Right as they were closing the doors they finally got all the Musicwings. “Now!” Alpha shrieked. And hoards of Reaperwings dove down onto the ships as they started to blast off. “Do it!” Alpha growled. The ripped chunks of them off. Then they hopped off the ship. “Let’s follow them. They will blow the planet the second they leave.” The Reaperwings then opened the small flaps on their necks and sides and blasted hot air out and blasted into space after them. ‘I’ll avenge you Strike. No matter what.’ Grim thought. Back on the ship….. The dragons on the ship were sighing in relief. “Now time to blow the place. Then we will find the other ones spread out around space. They looked out the windows and watched the whole planet explode. “It’s okay guys you will like your new planet.” Blackhole said. Suddenly they heard a familiar clicking noise. There was one. Then more and more. They all joined in. Blackhole squinted into the dark hallway. Suddenly there were eyes in there. “We are not alone.” He said with a shudder. “And now we are trapped with the enemy.” Now it was all but certain that they would all die. The end😈😈😈😈😈 just kidding 🤣🤣🤣 it doesn’t have to end with them all dead if you don’t want! Lol. That’s how I prefer to do it. But if you don’t want that kind of ending we don’t have too. So if you are ready. Your next part should be in The Dark Secret book if you feel like a happy ending which I’ll try to think of. Because these Reaperwing dudes are crazy! Anyway. Bye!!!! 🤗

Really people?. I love Wings Of Fire so much, I actually finished all of the books a year ago. Why am I here reviewing this book a year after a read it? It’s because in a way I’m not rating it, I was just checking out rating for some books I read and I keep on seeing reviews that make no sense, and are talking about either different books or shows. For one review I read, I fr thought they were talking about Warrior Cats for a moment, like COME ON. Some other reviews I read were about Sundew and Willow be lesbian and how they hate lgbtq+ and are shaming the books and Tui for it, and some are supporting it. I just hope I can see some normal reviews.

I’d give it zero if I could. It was so stupid, the whole last 5 books, it seemed rushed to be honest. It was crappy and this one was pretty much the worst.

I write this review to say…. I loved this book it was balanced and there was the perfect amount of action. Now I’m actually here to address a problem, I’ve been reading through reviews and a lot of people are saying they are disappointed and don’t like this book because of the lesbian couple. Along with saying it was inappropriate, but I think otherwise. The ENTIRETY of the other books have a lot of violence, arson and LITERALLY a war! So I don’t get how this one book was hated on so so much. Just saying it makes no sense, like if your going to let your child read about war and violence then a lesbian relationship shouldn’t make you so angry. I’m writing this and I am 12. So just seriously consider.

COOL. It was cool 😎. The last chapter was in The Hive Queen. Chapter 6 Pyrite looked at the chunk of dynamite in utter shock. “More!” the queen yelled. Still feeling the blood on her face Pyrite hurriedly made more. She saw others doing the same. After they had finished there was about 400 chunks of dynamite. It was then barreled away and the queen left. Pyrite was angry. How dare they use her like this! She vowed to escape and run of maybe find other hidden tribes. She would do whatever it took to get far away from her tribe. That’s the end of that book! There is a sequel in the next book. -Sunset of the Skywings Airkit of Riverclan Donaria

I love this series!. Sundew actually reminds me a lot of myself… and I’m glad she got a book! I’m not giving any spoilers, but I will say: MAJOR plot twists, and it is sooo cute at the end! I would recommend this to 9+, because some of the topics, but it’s good for older kids like myself. Great character development, and REDEMPTION FOR THE WIN! Name: Snowsilk Tribe: IceWing - SilkWing hybrid Gender: Female Age: 5 years old (just a reminder dragons mature faster than humans so in human years she is older than you think) Abilities: She can spin silk like a regular SilkWing but it is as if it is combined with an IceWing’s frost breath. In battle, she can wrap her opponents in the silk and not only does it immobilize them since the silk is sticky, it also freezes them. She has antennae that can predict the weather and detect vibrations. She can withstand subzero temperatures. Appearance: She has heterochromia so her right eye is purple and her left eye is orange. Her scales are white with a greyish underbelly. She has small spikes on her back and tail that are light blue. Her antennae fade from light blue to purple and her scales are freckled with purple and orange dots. She wears thin black glasses. She has tiny wing-buds since she has not gone through metamorphosis yet. She has thin horns that fade from grey to light blue at the very tip. Personality: She is very curious and lively, she loves to read and has even written her own stories. She likes to make friends but is bad at socializing and starting conversations. She thinks animals are very interesting and has a pet ferret named Heidi because it loves to play hide and seek with Snowsilk. Snowsilk loves Heidi and thinks she is very intelligent, she brings Heidi everywhere. Snowsilk is afraid of scavengers and their tiny little weapons, they creep her out. Snowsilk was hatched with her silk-spinning abilities, she thinks its a defect since she is a hybrid. She loves to weave art with her silk, her silk is a glittering bright blue and white. Heidi loves it too. Family: Her mother’s name is Dragonfly and she is a SilkWing, her father’s name is Hypothermia and he is an IceWing. Originally both her mother and her father lived on Pantala, but Hypothermia grew homesick and went back to his own continent however he still visits them frequently and sends letters. She has no siblings. Fun facts: Hypothermia gave SnowSilk Heidi as a going away gift, Snowsilk was 9 months old at the time and Heidi was a tiny baby. Snowsilk is an omnivore. Snowsilk has taught Heidi over 75 commands.

Okay not trying to start anything…. But um, if you read Genesis I think like, chapter 18 or 19 it is? It talks about Sodom and Gomorrah. The places that were struck with fire. The sins that they committed were: child s*crifices, r@pe, and (you guessed it!) h0m0sexuality. The part where the men wanted the have their way with the angels, Lot said, (and I quote) “Do not do this wicked thing…” Jesus did say to love one another, but He also flipped tables at the evil being committed in the temple, therefore we should recognize evil and follow good. Times may be changing, but God is still the same, always and forever, so shouldn’t we stay with the word of God? I mean, Theory Time, you seem like a very well educated person, but if you can’t answer my questions, you should realize that you’ve been proven wrong.

Story!. Read my review on “The Hive Queen” if you wanna know about shrubwings and other stuff 1 Jasmine rushed around her room the moonlight gleaming on her dark green scales as she passed the large windows in her room, grabbing tons of stuff and trying to shove it all in the box made of wood she used for traveling. I have to make it on time, this has to work! Jasmine thought as she tried to fit her favorite wood carving into her already over filled wooden box. Jasmine jumped, surprised when she heard her brothers voice behind her “Jasmine? What are you doing trying to pack your whole room into a box?” He said. Jasmine turned around to see Sprout and Leaf standing in her doorway, both wearing confused looks on their faces. “Oh umm I’m just trying to uh-“ she tried to think of an excuse for why she was packing her stuff but she couldn’t think of anything believable so she decided to tell the truth. “Well.. umm.. I’m leaving.“ she said with a sigh. “Leaving!?” Leaf said, alarmed. “Why would you want to leave!?” “Because! I don’t want to have to rule the ShrubWings, I wanna just live a normal life. So me and Wisteria are leaving tonight to find somewhere else to live and you can’t talk me out of it!.” “Wisteria? What’s her reason to leave?” He asked even more confused now, “Well she doesn’t really have anyone here would care, and she didn’t want me going alone on some dangerous journey, so she offered to meet me at moonshine lake at midnight and we would leave, but now you made me late!” She said finally being able to close the wooden box, Jasmine rushed to her large windows, throwing them open and flying out towards moonshine lake. But then she saw her brothers flying after her, they both had larger wings then her and would easily catch up to her in a flying race. So she dove into the forest where, hopefully, she could find somewhere to hide. I’ll post part two in the dangerous gift tomorrow!

Good book leave sundew x willow alone. Stop treating Sundew like she’s a goddess since she’s gay, or any LGB character for that matter. Or T+ ones for that matter. Sundew and Willow just want to be treated normal, like most dragons/people do. (Even though I disagree with gay marriage in the church I am not homophobic. I love everyone.) So stop making LGB people seem like Gods. Same thing with fictional dragons. It’s wonderful that Tui included these dragon girls but stop acting like these characters are gods for how they love each other. (Also Sundew x Willow are the first couple I enjoyed and read even though I am a straight Christian girl.) Good book but other fans need to mature more….🍃

Don’t hate on me for this. I’ve been a Christian my whole life and I’m against all that gay and les stuff. I have to admit that I did really enjoy this book and all the other wings of fire books. I just want everyone to remember that god created boys and girls to love each other and not for girls to love girls and boys to love boys. I love sundew and willow but I just don’t think they should be gay. Other than that I absolutely love Tui and all her books. Remember Jesus loves you all even if you don’t love him.

Wings Of Fire. I have read all the books in the series so far! I’m really looking forward to reading Tui.T.Sutherland’s NEWEST book: “The Poison Jungle.” Tui.T.Sutherland is a fantastic writer, her books give a very creative and imaginative feeling to people of all ages. The illustrations are absolutely BREATHTAKING! The give so much feeling into the book, as soon as you see it you will be like- “Wow, u can already tell by this amazing illustration that this is going to be a good book!” That is what happened to me- and I was correct every single time! Always a fantastic book, of all dragon books... This is the best Series EVER!!!! Can’t wait to read #13! Oh and please please please please PLEASE!, write one with Kinkajou 😚😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😚

Must-read series!. Absolutely GREAT series for all ages. I can’t wait for the next book, whatever it may be about. However i think you should position kinkajou as the main character because it might be a bit more entertaining than someone like Turtle. Love the Books and keep Writing!

Awesome. Wings of fire is the best series ever, and this new book is going to be amazing! I love sundew’s personality, and I want to understand her better. Also I really want a book to be made about Kinkajou, Bumblebee, Grandeur, Swordtail, Luna and A Legends tale for the Tree Wars/ Queen Wasp, Queen Sequoia, Queen Monarch.

SUPPORT THIS AUTHOR. Tui T Sutherland has an amazing grasp of how to make compelling characters, which makes her books impossible to put down. Of all the characters in this hilarious, well-thought out series, none of them ever fall into a character archetype, which is incredibly refreshing to read. Anyone can read one of these books and find parts of themself in every dragonet, no matter their age. do yourself a favour, and buy this book!

Awesome!!!!!. I’ve read every wings of fire book so far. To think this all started at looking at the cover on a magazine and saying “hey, that looks pretty cool”. One of the greatest dragon series out there and I think this one lives up to and exceeds expectations. This arc hasn’t been my favourite but tui can make any story a roller coaster of emotions. The characters are extremely great can’t wait for book #14. I never want this series to stop! Ps: bring back morroseer, he’s my favourite and has so much room to grow.

De best series: Plz more. I think all 14 books so far are amazing and are really good. I think that the poison jungle will revolve around the leaf wings and the Pyhrria dragons. This is because of all the amasing cliffhangers that she does. All together I am really excited to read the poison jungle and is an amasing series with more to discover with the hidden meanings every time you re-read it.

The best series you will ever read. My friends told me about this awesome series so I thought, “Why not try it?” Let me tell you, it was the best thing I have ever done! I LOVED how book one was more about the characteristics and how it all began, Moonwatcher’s book is quite the same in that aspect too. I also loved how in Winters book you see more about his family, I found that his family was his little secret and I believe that is why he didn’t appreciate Moonwatcher doing the things she did (no spoilers... I think). Anyway I am really excited for this book to come out, I think this will be a great addition to the series and will let us into the lives of Leafwings, I think we will finally see Sundew’s thoughts and her reasons to disliking Hivewings. If you have not read this series I really thing you should, it is a great captivating series about dragnets, building relationships with others (a thing I lack on). I really love the series and hope you enjoy this upcoming book and the rest of them, bye!

Please add more MoonWatcher she is the best and my favourite character I am not happy only hearing about her in prologues and epilogues! And why can’t they just get to Pyrrha already!? I am feeling let down from all this as I really loved this series and devoted my money and time on getting all these books counting down the days till new ones came out. I feel you are now loosing the grip on the readers. I would like to see you regain it as I feel like I will stop reading unless there is a change. This one was so “not the greatest”that unlike the others I haven’t read it a million times only once, that is really bad. I ALWAYS read them a million times. There were some drawings on the internet about hybrids, which were absolutely amazing btw, but what if the tribes intermingled? There has already been some shipping on the lost continent, but there are multiple dragons available to have a romance (eg. Io, Princess/ Queen Hazel) on Phyrria. Also, I think the whole romance thing on Phyrria needs to be sped up. We pretty much all know where all the romances are going, so the dragons who are hopelessly in love like Tsunami and Riptide, Glory and Deathbringer and Starflight and Fatespeaker need to really be developed. Unbelievable!. I honestly think that Tui deserves an award! I mean her books are so amazing I can’t believe it! She’s inspired me to become an author myself. Everyone out there who loves her books or haven’t heard of this series I totally recommend getting into it. I’ve read each book at least 1000 times because I couldn’t get enough of it! This is the best series EVER!!!!!. I’m sooooo excited for this book and I wish this series would never end!!! I highly recommend this book series to anyone since it’s the BEST and I can’t even put this awesomely amazing books down when I read them!!! And the characters are all SO well written!!!! It’s just amazing!

Amazing!. I loved it! It was great to finally have a main character who was lesbian! I just think it adds to the story of it. If dragons have feelings and relationships similar to humans then they won’t all be straight! The storyline was great and full of character development and surprises. I would recommend this book to any young adult (preferably between the ages of 7-14) Also, Tui if you are somehow reading this.... please when the two continents meet make the old characters (Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Starflight, Sunny, Moon, Winter, Peril, Turtle and Qibli) meet the new characters (Blue, Cricket, Sundew Swordtail and Bumblebee). Especially more on the Clay+Peril and Qibli+Moon and Deathbringer+Glory romances as well? Did Clay say that he liked Peril last series!?! I don’t know! I am hoping to become an author myself, actually. In the next three or four years be on the look out for a book called “Run” about a wolf with a missing leg! Pls pls pls somehow read this. That would be awesome.

Frickin amazing. This book was amazing I finished it in one day because I couldn't put the book down. This book shows us Sundews side of the story and her life which made her to be the Dragon she is today, this book also sets up the main issue for the third arc and is a very refreshing villain that I definetly did not expect. This book is very interesting with many plot twists that you wouldn't expect!!

So stoked!. I’m so happy the series goes on and I hope turtle and tsunami are ok such a cliff hanger!!! I’m pretty sure that the protagonist is SwordTail and I also think Bumblebee is so cute from the description! Also I think the 2 continents will meet each other and here’s a suggestion if your reading this Tui maybe the tribes will get along and they would all pitch in and build a long bridge out of silkwing silk and other materials across the ocean to each other’s land as a safe passage to and from each continent. But only if they get along. Thanks for making this awesome series!!!
