A Spy is Born. Hands down - this is the best book by an indie author I have read! Emily Levinson weaves a sinister tale that clearly reflects the stained, embattled political quagmire in American politics. After the protagonist, a rising Hollywood star, kills the director of her film in self-defense, she is presented with a choice: Jeopardize the career she has spent her life creating or work as a spy for the government, using her star-power to pave a trail through the diabolical mind-games of international politics. Kimelman’s story will make you question the truth of what you read and what you think you know. But it’s fiction, right…?

Waste of time. Difficult read and no ending. First and only book from this author I will read.

Action Packed. I read this book in one night and once again Emily Kimelman left me speechless. A Spy Is Born is unpredictable and action packed. The Editor’s Note at the end really made consider the current events in the world and how they influenced parts of this book. Emily is an outstanding writer and I really look forward to the next book in this series.

She did it again!. A Spy is Born hooked me from the first page. The fiction put with fact really made me think. I love Angela. I am anticipating the next book. Emily is a fabulous writer of strong women. She inspires me to be a strong, don’t take any crap woman. Thank you Emily for inspiring women like me. P. S. I suffered from a form of PTSD. I got Ketamine treatments and I’m doing so much better. They helped me immensely. I can’t wait for book two of a spy is born.

This was not a movie being filmed, it was real and happening to her. The words flow they catch you from the beginning, of what is being said resonate, and you want more of Angela She is full of action, women need new tools in this world. Strong female lead. I’ve been reading Emily Kimelman’s Syndey Rye series for years now and with “A Spy is Born”, she brings us another strong female character tackling a traditionally male role. I cannot wait to read what adventures lie ahead for Angela Daniels.
