Rule Number One by Nicky Shanks Book Summary
I live my life by two rules.
First, I never let my guard down and let anyone get too close. It only opens doors for ways to get hurt. Second, I never learn the names of women I take home. Putting a name to a face makes it personal, which breaks rule one. So enforcing a strict no name policy is vital.
Julie Remington is a friend of a friend. Pretty, stubborn, infuriating…instant attraction.
I don’t like the fact that I like her. And what I dislike even more is having to share a bedroom with her. Now I regret agreeing to come on this trip to act as my best friend’s wingman.
Why? Because the more time I spend with Julie, the more I want her. The more I want her, the more I push her away. I can’t help it. It’s a natural defense mechanism that makes me act like a total ass.
She seems to have the ability to make me want to break my own damn rules, and I can’t allow that. This entire situation has the potential to turn into a huge complication.
And it’s a complication I can’t afford.

Not good, wish I hadn’t read it. Mama ear. Didn’t like it. Unhealthy relation after unhealthy relationship. Kept waiting for redemption, healing, closure, but never came. Wasted 4 hours.
What?. What the heck happened!? Is there a sequel, did it cut off? I was super into the storyline, then bam, you’re hit with a surprise, that’s not really a surprise since it’s heavily foreshadowed throughout, and then it just ends? Also can’t find any information on a continuation so that’s frustrating! But, what I did read was captivating enough, wish I knew what was next...
Not For me. I hated how the girl goes through an abusive relationship, but then Oliver is also mean to her. Not a book for me. Also, all these chapters of other people thrown in their randomly are so confusing.
Rule number one. Really? Why the hell did you end it with him a bar with another woman? Really???

Warning. Ends on a cliffhanger! With no hint of whether there will be a second book. It was hard going as well.

What a ridiculous ending. I had read the book and enjoyed it to be left at the end with nothing. Complete waste of time. I understand you wish to sell more books but you won’t have many loyal followers with that silly ending
