Love it. Stay a little longer I’ve read all the misfit inn books and enjoyed them all. I have to say I loved Athena’s story, read it in two days. I love how Logan is able to see the real Athena, the side of her that she never shows anyone. The connection of the farm had me in tears. I also loved Ari presence in the story. The chef and the farmer. I loved Athena, the feisty chef, falling for Logan, the patient farmer (secret therapist). The push and pull of the story seemed so real. The hidden secrets Athena holds, tied in with the history of the family farm make this so relatable, yet dreamy. We all wish we could find a place we can come home too. This book brought in all the family with perfect timing, I love Ari... she has so much spunk in this family of adults. This story is about Athena Reynolds a world renowned chef, who after catching her boyfriend in a very compromising position in their Michelin Star restaurant in Chicago, she has a meltdown that ends up on you tube..so not good...so she heads back home to Tennessee to figure out what is next for her life...helping her “sisters” in the Misfit Inn and reconnecting with Logan Maxwell her one night stand or leaving again to start over somewhere else... Logan Maxwell, owner of the up and growing organic farm has feelings for Athena since their one night of passion but knowing she belongs in Chicago at her restaurant he hasn’t pursued her...that is until he runs into her suddenly at the Misfit Inn and wonders why has she returned home? What happens next is swoon worthy, has secrets, lots of sparks, laughter, tears and rooting for this couple to find their way to a HEA!!

First book read. That’s a fantastic book truly 😉

Small town romance. I normally find Kait Nolan’s books light and refreshing. This one, not so much. I honestly was not a fan of Athena until around the last few chapters. She comes across as really harsh and somewhat of a diva. I did enjoy how Athena matured over the book and by the end she is a much more likable character. Another Great Read from The Misfit Inn Series. Kait Nolan has done it again. This is a wonderful read. Prickly chef meets her match. I can honestly say that I am not an Athena fan. I loved the story but she is just so prickly, I can’t think of a better word. Abrasive is too harsh but by gosh she puts poor Logan through the ringer. I don’t know how he had the patience to deal with her. I get it that chefs are self absorbed most of the time but she takes it to a new level! I loved being annoyed by her. Great curl-up-and-read book!. This one surprised me. I have to admit I was not excited about prickly Athena’s story. Of all the Reynolds sisters she was the least likable. Snooty and Stubbornly unforgiving even with absolute proof she was in the wrong, I just wanted her to stay in Chicago with her fancy restaurant and leave her sisters alone. Her transition is amazing & nicely crafted. She becomes downright endearing as she takes on the challenges of embarrassment, confidence, adapting and love. I enjoyed the awesome creativity and support of her love interest, sisters and niece. And the entire story is so believable and wonderfully written that you’ll definitely feel you’re part of the story too. An excellent read!! Sizzling. This Misfit Inn story is about renowned chef Athena’s fall from grace and her struggle to find her new place in the world. One of my favorite scenes, and trust me there are many, is Athena’s dramatic and exhilarating response to her cheating boyfriend’s pitiful attemp at justification. You HAVE to read it for yourself!!! Chef Athena is a very prickly, short tempered woman (think Chef Gordon Ramsay) who through farmer and former psych major, Logan, we see is truly a tender woman who has built a defensive fortress around her heart to protect the little girl that she was when she was removed from her father and placed with Joan, her adopted mother. As Logan continues to break down the walls Athena has erected, the instant chemistry between the two grows into a sizzling love affair, but will Athena stay in the small town to see what could come of it or will she run back to big city life for a career she thrives at, but secretly hates. I loved “Stay A Little Longer”! Athena May cook for stress relief, but for me it will be grab and reread (several times over) any Kait Nolan book, beginning with “Stay A Little Longer”. A fabulous fun and beautiful little slice of Southern life, family and community. This book could be read stand-alone, but I would highly recommend reading this as part of the Misfit Inn series, as you will get so much more from the characters, relationships and backstory. It was great to get to know Athena so well, after meeting her in previous book as the highly strung and slightly emotionally distant sister in previous books. Understanding her past, her experiences and challenges, you can then understand her reactions and her guarded heart. When Athena returns to Tennessee and the Misfit Inn, she also returns to Logan her wedding fling from a year ago, and as well as being a fabulously deep and well rounded character, he is also an ideal man (one I daydream of often!). I really appreciate the well crafted storylines, no insta-love unbelievable connections, but true depth, real life interactions and building a relationship on a strong foundation - one that will therefore weather whatever life throws at them. This was an incredibly well written book and the depth of characters, as well as the joyful storytelling, is what brings me back to this series and Kait Nolan’s other series time and time again. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book, and am proud and honoured to be part of Kait Nolan’s ‘Squee Squad’ and to feel even tangentially involved in the creation of her beautiful little slices of Southern life, family and community.

Another great story by Kait Nolan. I received an ARC and this is my honest and voluntary review. Athena returns home after leaving her cheating boyfriend and quitting her job. Refusing to tell her family the real reason she came home she soon finds herself confiding in Logan, a one night stand after Kennedy’s wedding. Logan is happy to see Athena home and is determined to convince her to stay, with him, but he reminds her of an early life she had to leave behind. When an opportunity of a lifetime comes knocking can she resist the lure and stay with Logan or will love not be enough. I loved this story. Athena is a strong woman who has certainly met her match in Logan. Couldn’t put it down and can’t wait for the fourth in this series.

Logan and Athena. The third book in a great series. The siblings of the Misfit Inn are all a little broken and they need someone who can see past the mask they wear. Logan is the perfect partner for Athena who has always held people at a distance. I really enjoyed their story and the way they came together and found their HEA. I think Ari is my favourite character of the whole series.

A must read. Just love the Misfit Inn Series. Stay A Little Longer didn’t disappoint. Logan and Athena are two amazing characters. Life on the land is pure gold with the one you love, and an amazing family of support.

I can’t wait until we get to visit the Misfit Inn again. It feels a little like forever since we last visited the Misfit Inn, and I am so glad to come back. This pair was crazy-making to me. Logan and Athena have been dancing around their feelings for each other for as long as I can remember knowing them. I found myself yo-yoing back and forth between clapping my hands with glee that they were finally working it out and wanting to smack their heads together to knock some sense into them. I love how a Kait Nolan title always gives me what I want most from a book: a powerful emotional connection (including some heat and spice), a story that’s about more than just getting our lead couple together, and lots of moments that make me laugh (and do it with as much enthusiasm as I cry during the deeply emotional scenes).
