Sweet romance. Brooke is so busy taking care of the animals at the animal shelter that she doesn’t notice Hayden. Hayden has had a crush on Brooke since childhood. In order to see her more frequently he “accidentally” cuts bags of dog food open where they can’t be sold, which allows them to be donated to the shelter. A freak winter storm hits Mississippi and throws Brooke and Hayden together to find a solution to keep the shelter animals safe. Another sweet romance story from Kait Nolan. Warm sweet meet cute!. It was a quick sweet read !! Didn’t know what to think before I started because neither were characters from Kait Nolan’s previous books, but I was hooked on from the first sassy comment by Brooke. Hayden is such a nice guy and this meet cute was definitely the warm gooey one that I needed to read trying to relax from a hectic week. Kait’s done it again! A Great Meet Cute: Hayden and Brook. This was a sweet story of Hayden and Brooke, who knew each other in junior high and were reunited on a snowy night years later. Hayden has always liked Brooke, but she didn’t remember him. When Brooke needs help, Hayden doesn’t hesitate to rescue her, and Brooke decides she may need to end her man diet. Brooke's rescue. Once Upon A Rescue by Kait Nolan is a beautifully written heartwarming short romance story. Brooke Redding is the director of the local rescue when a winter storm hits and the center is not set up to protect the dogs from freezing. Hayden Garrow wants to rescue Brooke and the pups to survive the storm. Love a man who will go out of his away to help dogs and cats. It's exciting, witty and we'll worth your time to read. Once Upon A Rescue💗. No matter what other authors I may read, or stories of other towns, my heart and thoughts, always returns to Wishful. Brooke & Hayden satisfied that sweetness I miss in a lot of reading I do these days. I loved the fact Hayden thought of Brooke and her shelter animals needs first, before himself on such a nasty day. His actions just completely swept me away. Who doesn’t dream of that! Thanks for restoring my faith in relationships! Lovely read, only wished for more of their story. Hayden is swoon worthy!. Hayden & Brooke’s story is wonderful! So far, it is my favorite of Kait Nolan’s meet cute romances. Brooke is determined, but at her witt’s end when quiet Hayden swoops in like her knight in shining armor, or turn out pants and boots as it so happens. Hayden is this southern girl’s dream! Great short story. I really enjoyed this short story. The story was very indicative of the way snow is received in the south, or even just impending snow. Lol. I have read several books from the Wishful series and have loved them all. This is a great story if you are looking for a great short read.

Snow and Puppies. Who can resist snow and puppies? I love these two new Wishful characters. As a dog lover, I could totally relate to wanting to keep all the rescues warm! Romance and puppies. I love the premise of a “meet cute” - something that can fill in over a lunch hour or a wait at the doctor’s office - and one that offers adorable animals is a huge plus! And set in Wishful is just an added bonus. The fact that the hero has had a longtime crush and seemed to need the weather “assist” to get to his HEA, just makes it that much better in my eyes. I love how all of the books can all be read as stand alone novels, but they are all better when you read the series. Even in this short book, the characters are well defined. Love seeing old friends from the town of Wishful and finding new friends too! When an unusual winter snow storm blows into Wishful, Mississippi, Brooke needs to find temporary homes for the rescue animals in the shelter she runs but isn’t having much luck. Until Hayden comes to the rescue...he has a crush on Brooke and will do what needs to be done to help the rescue shelter and get closer “hopefully” to Brooke. Rescue animals, newborn puppies, a big barn, being stranded are just a few of the things happening in this short, sweet read!

Meet-cute (again) romance. Brooke and Hayden are such an adorable meet-cute romance. This book was a quick and fun read, everything it should be. The characters had depth and emotion while still keeping it just a short snapshot in their newly budding relationship. I love the ‘extras’ used throughout the book, the human (past characters) and canine versions (especially Tiny Tim). I honestly felt the chemistry between the two main characters and I felt they almost kept the barn warm with that alone, who needs space heaters and thermal sleeping bags anyways! Read this book if you are hoping to spark a little romance in your life, maybe you too can find your match as well. Love this ‘meet cute’. Brooke needed help to sort out the animals at her shelter during a snowstorm and Hayden was only too happy to help. Wonderful heartwarming novella. I love the Meet Cute series, where we get a glimpse of new characters and the wonderful tale of their first meeting. It isn’t a full novel, with all the in depth interactions, other characters and the HEA tied up in a bow... you get the initial meeting, the first sparks of romance and the joyous hopeful future for this budding romance. The characters are wonderful and whilst I would happily read a full novel on these beautiful people... this was fun, romantic and inspiring, just as it was written! Hayden and Brooke. This is a really sweet romance set in the wonderful town of Wishful. Making a wish in the fountain in the centre of town Brooke hopes for a miracle to save the animals at her shelter, her wish is granted, maybe not in the way she expected. A winter storm allows Hayden to be Brooke's hero and save the animals at her animal shelter from freezing. The storm also gives them the chance to fall in love.

Once upon a rescue. I think this is a great quick read, I read it in one seating. It continues the story of the town and its people whilst adding some new characters into the mix.
