Best read ever!!!. If I could give this book 100 stars, I would!! I was completely thrown by who the bad guy was and so I’m love with the way things ended. This has to be my top 3 favorite books ever!♥️😍🥰

3.5. i honestly wish i didnt expect more from the book. there were times were i was starting to be annoyed by the characters actions but the twist made up for it (even tho it was a twist that was easily spotted bc a detail that was mentioned too much to be irrelevant

Sexy, Suspenseful & fun. The story itself keeps you on your toes with the danger that lurks around the heroine. The story is very well written and the characters are quirky, valiant and entertaining.

3.5 to 4 Stars. Protecting Piper is an intense, romantic suspense involving two main characters that have secretly loved one another for years but misunderstandings have stood in their way. Eric is the intense part to this story. That man was so wound up and lost in Piper. He just really sucked at communication. He has believed for many years that his brother was in love with her so he stepped aside. When Eric finds out Piper has a dangerous stalker, he's done stepping aside for his brother. He just has to convince Piper they belong together while he keeps her safe from her stalker. Piper thinks Eric hates her. He's pushed her away for so long she doesn't even consider that he could have feelings for her. She is nothing but confused when he refuses to leave her side once he finds out about her stalker The majority of this book is Eric and Piper dancing around their mutual but secretive love for each other. It's the only reason I didn't love this book more. I wanted to see them reveal their true feelings sooner, but the stalker storyline kept things very interesting. The key things about this book is that you will get a jealous/protective alpha, a strong heroine that still has a sweet side, a love story that starts out as enemies to lovers, and a plot that will have you trying to figure out who the stalker is.

Sorry, but no..... I don’t know how to not sound mean, but this book was not as good as the reviews led me to believe. I didn’t feel any connections between the lead characters, he seemed to growl every few pages, and she was constantly hurrying to keep up, even though he’s holding her hand. Is he dragging her along? And he’s in security, but grilling her on her sex life because he wants to know, less about potential suspects. And everyone wanted her for themselves? I thought it was a bit too much like There’s Something About Mary, without any humor. I will say the plot was a good idea, but there’s more that could’ve made the story better. I just started skipping pages to find out who the killer was.

Good book, but….. It was a really good book. But I found it extremely hard to get through the first half of it. It took me awhile to get through the first half. But once I got to the action I was able to read straight through.

Love the plot. The characters had a charisma together and I love the plot. Having an intriguing and exciting plot is a must have for me and this did not disappoint. I look forward to reading more of this series.

Addicting!!. I read this book the night I started it! I was up til after 2 am. I just couldn’t put it down. Love the alpha male Eric and the relationship between him and Piper that develops. This book made me swoon.... so so good! Definitely recommend

What...?!. I don’t typically leave reviews, good or bad, and I read a LOT. But I couldn’t let this one go. The story itself is fine. Pretty easy to figure out. Finished it in less than a day. But my issue was with the language the author used. Repeated phrases and words. It got super annoying. I’m from the south, even lived in the southeast for a while. I’ve never met a single person who uses the word ‘fellow’ five times in one conversation. It felt like the author was trying to use some combination of old English/southern/British slang? Throw in a few solid curse words and you’ve got the language down. I’m not sure where all the five star reviews came from but definitely not from this girl!

Protecting Piper ( Wilde Ways Book 1 ) by Cynthia Eden. Fantastic book the story of Piper and Eric and Ben , Pipers best friend and Eric’s brother . Ben called his brother Eric when Piper had her home broken into for the second time, Eric was head of Wilde security. Eric had also been in love with Piper since they were kids but seeing as Ben was her best friend he had held back . Read this first book of the Wilde security series and enjoy the HEA Eric and Piper found .

Suspense Filled Love Story. What an awesome read! Constant suspense. Good twists. This is a new author for me but I will be reading more of her books!

Not predictable, but also not exactly realistic. Pretty good, kept me on my toes, and I didn’t guess the ending, which is rare for me, but it was fairly contrived.... all in all, an enjoyable read

Could be better. I read this a few years ago on a different platform and decided to reread it here since it was free. Overall it’s a good story with a plot twist I had forgotten about. I’d give it a higher rating but the overuse of calling someone a “lover” was too much for me.

Ok, but words need to be varied.. The story was interesting, though guessing the end wasn't difficult- however a few details at the end were a nice surprise. Using the word "lover" 75 times throughout the book was a distracting overkill.

Torn.. Okay so it starts out RIGHT as the main plot starts. You don’t get any introductions going into it and you just kind of have to accept these characters as they are, point blank. Some background or maybe a flashback of some important moments in their childhood! Also, if you can stomach WAY too much use of the word “lover” and “bro” then you will love the book. Great plot, pretty believable romance. A bit over dramatic but otherwise enjoyable. It’s just shy of being a fantastic book.

Sexy Chivalry. “Listen Up:” if you love romance, strong, protective males and a female who is feminine yet strong, then you’ve found a good author. Although this series has the same line of body guard protecting someone and the “heat is there” it is the writing that draws you into the plot. You can connect with the passion of the main characters. In this story, Eric is definitely coming through loud and clear: a frustrated yet honorable man who is caught between the love of his life and her best friend - his brother. It’s not what you think, though. I enjoyed the book and I will definitely back track to read the first one (this is book 2) and read the rest of her series.

Where do all the good reviews come from?. I had to skip through parts of this book. The dialogs between the main characters are terrible, absolutely no ‘feeling’ in it. The author tells you what you should be feeling, but the words coming out of the characters do not line up with it. The final twist is just a step too far. It is not enjoyable at all. I actually rolled my eyes. Will not read another book by this author.

Eric & Piper - romance/thriller. Talk about a story that keeps you on the edge of your chair until the end!!! I read the book in one sitting because I had to know who it was!! The twists and turns throughout the book were intense and kept you guessing on who was the one wreaking havoc in Piper’s life from beginning to end. Highly recommend this book!
