Incredible!. Wow - Cassandra Clare really knows how to keep you entertained. First of all, the cover of this book is stunning. Set in the same world as the rest of her Shadowhunter books, Chain of Gold follows Cordelia, Lucie, James, and the rest of their "Merry Thieves" friends as they tackle a new insurgence of demons. The group faces incredible odds as the adults in their lives are slow to action - leaving them to take up the task of killing their demonic foes. This is an incredible book which ties into the Shadowhunter world beautifully. We see familiar faces and familiar names, which is exciting for those who have read her previous series. I adored the romance - although at times it was a bit heartbreaking. Clare also wrote nice sub-plots for some of the characters which have kept me hooked and guessing (especially as I wait for the next in the series...). This is a definite must read and a 10/10 addition to her already fascinating world and I can't wait to see where it leads!

I never get tired of shadow hunters!. This was really great!!! I love the merry thieves!!! The characters were great! I always have loved Will, Tessa, and Jem and now their kids are so fabulous too. Great storyline, lots of surprises! I fall more in love with the shadow world with each series!!! Already I’m jonesing for the next book!! Loved it!

Finally!. This is a new book in a series that’s set in the shadowhunter world in the 1900s. What was really the most intriguing part to me were the characters. All of them have interesting stories. The plot was captivating and the antagonist will be one to be remembered, that’s for sure. In all of Clare’s books, I believe this is the one where I love both the characters and the plot, not simply just one or the other. The relationships between James, Thomas, Matthew and Christopher is one of the best interactions, and the female characters are all so fiercely strong in their unique ways. And the end had me leaping from my seat. Overall, this book has exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait for the next one.

I need the sequel!. I really love this book. Can we please get the sequel sooner? It is so good! I love Cordelia and Matthew and Anna and Alastair.

Very good. I liked the story that she’s spinning here. Cordelia is a good heroine, and I think Lucie is hilarious. Anna is perfectly scandalous! As for James, I like him. He reads, which is good enough for me. But, Grace Blackthorn is enchanting him. Quite literally, I think. How else would you explain Matthew and Charles. Speaking of Matthew, I’m pretty sure he’s either in love with Lucie, or James. Either one. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next one! Revision: All the characters in this plot are so well rounded, I can read them.. well, like a book! Here are some things I figured out: Grace is not in love with anyone. She merely watches out for her own well-being I could not figure out who Matthew was in love with, but now I know. He might be in love with Cordelia, but he will end up with Lucie. The bracelet that Grace gave James is the source of the love he feels toward her. It was when she asked for it back that his feelings started to fade and when he got it back, the feelings came back in full force. James will somehow become possessed in the next book. Lucie will try to raise Jesse from the dead, but it either won’t work, or he won’t be the same. Thomas is in love with Alastair. In the future, when Cordelia is ready to pass down Cortana, she will give it to baby Carstairs, who will have blond hair and brown eyes, pretty sure. Jace got his golden eyes from James That’s all.

Another Amazing novel. I cannot express the way Cassandra Claire weaves her tails to pull you in and keep you locked in for a wild ride. I am anxious for the next books in her series. They are wonderful tales!
