Superb. I’m dizzy from the twisting and turning

Lengthy but good. The plot worked for me. I did not se the end coming. It is a bit wordy and repetitive, not helping the flow or need to read the next page.

Formulary. Books like these have become a dime a dozen. Give me difficult plots & twists please!

Great turn of events. Once you start reading this thriller, you won’t be able to put it down. The Last Houseguest hast it all….suspense, thrill, and love.

A whirlwind mystery. This novel was a perfect summer read. It had the charm of a New England beach town wrapped into a murder mystery. The author did a wonderful job of keeping the reader on the edge of their seat, never revealing the secrets that encircled the characters creating a delightfully thrilling novel.

Not worth the hype. I only finished the book because I purchased it. It was slow and boring. It doesn’t get good until the last few chapters. It’s not a “page turner” and the “plot twist” is not something to keep reading for.

Disappointing twist. the book was great and kept me wondering up until the plot twist. while i didn’t see the plot twist coming, it was disappointing and a let down. it ruined the book!

Ok. It wasn’t a page turner for me. I kept thinking it was going to get better but it didn’t. I still wanted to find out who did it so I kept reading.

A pretty good read. Nice twists and turns that I was not expecting. It is a little too long though; could have been wrapped up sooner. Would still recommend it. Enjoy......

Figure this one out!. Can usually figure out the ending, this one was a surprise!

Interesting, but sometimes hard to follow. The story was very interesting, and towards the end I couldn’t put the book down. At times, the narration was confusing, and I had to reread a few paragraphs to understand what was going on in the story. I was surprised by the ending! I will read more books from this author.

Don’t buy unless you have read everything out there!. Very slow and when it finally actually begins to get interesting it is too late. I read it all hoping it would get better but it really didn’t. This is my only review ever (for anything) but I am hoping that someone else will find this useful and not purchase this book

Awesome read. By far - my favorite read by Megan Miranda that I have read. Great drama, great characters and the twists were just right. I was in a reading slump and this pulled me right out. A must read

Kept me up all night!. Excellent murder mystery novel. Could put this book down. The book doesn’t have a slow moment. The ending surprised me!

Good, not great. Clever, twisty storyline but I didn’t enjoy the author’s writing style. There’s too much time spent on the main character’s thoughts and, to me, that messed up the pace. I kept wanting her to get on with it. But I finished it, and you might enjoy it.

Satisfying. What a great book

Unbelievable. It had me trying to figure things out and be a detective along the way!! This book was amazing!! I haven’t been an avid reader but I read this book in 2 weeks tops!! I just couldn’t stop reading!!

It’s been done before. This book was like so many others (or vice versa)I felt like I had read it before.

Boring. Felt no connection to the characters. Was “surprised” by the twist ending but not enough to care. This was the first Reese’s Book Club choice that was a total miss for me.

Way to sloooooowwwwwww. I didn’t want to give up on this book because that’s not my style…but man…she made it so hard. The book seemed to take forever to get into and the ending wasn’t that great…super short and predictable. I have never written a negative review…so I feel bad critiquing someone else’s art. However…it just seemed like it was fast forwarded with a background story as a paragraph or two at the end. It a fan 😩

Great book. Such a great read, a quick but exciting one. A classic for the author, always love her books. The story is intriguing and the characters are great. Love her!!

Overall, a good read. I really enjoyed the vivid imagery in this book with all the descriptions of this little Northern coastal town. It helped to create the characters and who they were at their core. However, I felt the main character, Avery, was a little bit under-developed and there weren’t enough details given towards the end when the climax hit. As I was reading I kept wanting the author to give me more details about HOW this happened, rather than Avery just figuring it out and saying it. So, a little disappointed in the way it all tied together without much explanation, and a little underwhelmed with the depth of Avery’s character. Overall really enjoyed the book though. It kept me guessing til right up to the end which was nice.
