On many levels, this is a story that needed to be told!. An Excellent historical novel about the little known amazing secret life of well known actress & beauty, Hedy Lamar. So well written, you feel like you are living her Life in real time. Truly unbelievable we’re all the people she encountered and her accomplishments. A story that needs to be told on many levels.

Absolutely sensational. And a moving lesson of the history surrounding WWII. Woven around the story of Hedy Lamar’s life in Austria and Hollywood prior to and after Pearl Harbor.

Interesting!. Had no idea Hedy Lamar was such a force! Makes me want to go back and look at some of her old films. This was an extremely enjoyable read even though some of the subject matter is Heartbreaking. She is tough, smart, and glamorous.

Based off a real person. I had a difficult time putting this book down. I read it within two to three days and when I finished it I discovered that the main character is actually a real person. I’m truly amazed.

This was a fascinating book about Heddy. Hedy . Though very frustrating that even in todays times nothing has changed.

The Only Woman in the Room.. What a fascinating historical book about a beautiful young actress and her challenges and survival as a captive wife of an arms dealer during the start of the World War and how she fought to make a life for herself in America while finding a way to help in the war effort, only to have her dream derailed because her invention was made by a woman and a composer. Even more fascinating to know the technology she developed is still used today in Bluetooth technology. Couldn’t put it down!!

No depth to the writing. An audience pleasing narrative with sex,powerful men, and engaging plot. Especially effective Because it is based on the truth. Add woman who society values for her beauty not brains, and you have your perfect post #metoo novel. Superficial writing, didn’t like first person narrative,too much repetition of her “feelings of guilt”. The parts that were obviously true were interesting ,but the character wasn’t developed enough for us to even surmise what she would have really felt. Rather shallow book.

Wow, keep me enthralled. Had no idea about this story or what it was about and it did not disappoint. I was enthralled from the start. What an amazing story.

I enjoyed this book. This time period is my favorite to read about. Fascinating life of Hedy.

This author has outdone herself. If you read this novel you will learn about Churchill and his wife! A lot of history in this story
