Well done!. Best Spenser novel since Robert died. Well done Ace!

Angel Eyes. I enjoyed the book very much, but for the first time I really noticed how much different and less complete Mr Atkins’ version of Spenser is from the character developed by Mr Parker. I did not feel Spenser coming alive in this book. Although the story will be familiar to many Spenser readers, I thought it was engaging. I hope that Mr Atkins spends more effort on his vision of the Spenser character next time as he does very well with his excellent Quinn Colson character. Sea

Yikes!. Read all of the Spenser novels over the years. Glad I opted for the download version of this one.

Angel Eyes. Good story, but overly complicated and sometimes tedious plots. Worth reading if you are not in a hurry.

Good Story. Good story with short glance at Joe Pike. What I liked most about this adventure was that this book was not a segue into another book. It was an enjoyable read.

Terrible. When I started the book I thought I missed a chapter, you come into the middle of a story. The book is basically two stories that have been in the headlines for the past two years, since the “me to movement” and not done very well. I’m not sure if I’m more disappointed in the author or myself for reading the whole book.

Loved this!. First time reading Ace Atkin’s Spenser, and can’t wait for the next one! (Loved the “nod” to Robert Crais’s Joe Pike, too)

Doesn’t feel like Spenser. Although the names and places fit the prose is nowhere close. I hadnt picked up one of Ace’s attempts to mimmic Robert Parkers style for a few years, and was disappointed to find it hasnt improved

My new Ace Atkins favorite. Revisited some old friends and great memories. This Ace Atkins has a perfect RBP - only miss Hawk and even he gets several mentions. Can’t wait to read the next.
