Oopsie Daisy: A Steamy Romantic Comedy by Iris Morland Book Summary

My professor gave me my first D.
Now my next assignment is due…in nine months.

You know when you meet your new professor, and he ends up being the same man you had a one-night stand with three months ago?

Okay, maybe not. Let me explain.

I hadn’t intended to sleep with my professor. I might be known as the impulsive, prankster daughter in my family, but I’m not insane. I just wanted to have some fun in Ireland at my sister’s wedding, and maybe lose my virginity, too.

When I met Lochlann Gallagher at a pub one night, I couldn’t resist him. He was hot, Irish, and entirely set on seducing me. One unforgettable night under the sheets with him, and my V-card went up in smoke.

Well, that night had one itty bitty consequence because Lochlann totally made my eggo preggo.

And if this story isn’t crazy enough, Lochlann is not just my baby daddy: he’s now my professor and my advisor for grad school.

Somehow we have to figure out a way not to reveal this rapidly gestating secret while resisting the explosive attraction between us.

Except there’s just one more complication to this story: I think I’m totally falling for my baby daddy.

Oopsie daisy.

Love this series!. Oh how I was waiting, oh so impatiently, for Kate's book!! And it was so worth the wait! Oopsie Daisy is Kate & Lochlann's story and what a funny, steamy, heartfelt story it is! Kate is the youngest sister, she is the prankster, the nerdy girl, the screw-up....well that's what she thinks.  I see her as funny, courageous and kick-butt type of heroine we all need!  She is fierce in her determination to make a better world.  When she meets Lochlann well then sparks fly and like gasoline and a flame they burn up the pages! Lochlann is studious, he too is determined to make his mark in the world, but he falls in lust hard for Kate. I wanted to shake him sometimes for his selfishness, but then he came through quite brilliantly... When Kate & Lochlann's one night stand turns into so much more...well complications arise, feelings get changed and hearts get bruised. Ms. Morland creates magic with her words! This is a true romantic comedy! Kate is hilarious and is such a foil to Lochlann's uptight nature! This whole series is fantastic, but I think I will have a soft spot for this story in particular!! So well done!

Ok read. This book has funny characters but the storyline is not well developed. The points of conflict are introduced but the solutions are not addressed: Kate moves out of her apartment when she doesn’t want to, she tells her parents about her pregnancy but we don’t know anything about how it happened. The end is also surprising and rash it goes against the character of Kate. Overall a mediocre read with strong characters but a weak plot line.

Should be at the top of everyone’s reading list. So many twist and turns, just brilliant ...couldn’t help but fall in love with these characters and this beautiful, consuming, lovely novel. Just amazing 100/10 by far!

Cute. This story is sweet enough with the characters. The cat is the best! But there are some holes. The guy supposedly doesn’t want to drive but a few pages later he’s dropping off the woman after the hospital visit. At the end of the book he’s driving them to the hospital to have the baby. But he said most women birth at home early in the book. And even though this woman is supposedly brilliant she drops out before the semester is over and then maybe months later is going to apply to programs in Ireland? Grad school doesn’t work that way. Nice try, decent characters, and a good hea if you just ride with the inconsistencies. A good afternoon distraction!

Fun read!. A one night stand turns into pregnancy. Follow these adorable characters as they navigate the next nine months.

It could have been great. The story was there. The concept was good, the execution just didn’t do it for me. I was not a fan of the author’s writing style. There were parts that I felt were redundant and drawn out with no reason, where as the important parts were skimmed over. In the middle of the book it jumps back to their beginning to explain which didn’t work. I’m not sure what is supposed to make this a comedy because it wasn’t any funnier than any other book. Just a few quips, back & forth banter, but nothing that was overwhelmingly funny. I will say the steamy parts were okay. Just with the plot of the book, it was annoying at how they would play out but then make no difference. I read it because it was free but I unfortunately was not impressed. 🫶

Loved it. So worth the read!!!

A One Night Stand to Forever. Terrific!! This story is funny, sweet, bitter and frustrating but, it is worth it because Kate and Lochlann are a special couple. Kate’s nervous sarcasm, wit and spontaneity gives levity to the drama of her one night stand turning into much more with a baby on the way. The ever formidable Lochlann is charming while keeping Kate at arms length. Their back and forth taboo relationship keeps hope alive in Kate while Lochlann refuses to see what’s in front him except his work and the responsible to his unborn baby. The story is so well done and the characters, especially Kate’s friends, Naoko and Henry just give that bit of extra something that make this whole book exceptional. Oopsie Daisy. Great read

Good, but ending was eh. This book was fun, but I was disappointed in the ending. The main character says she doesn’t want having the baby to changer her, yet she gives up her career and moves across the world for the baby & baby daddy. Was really hoping it would end with them becoming a science power couple.

Oopsie-Daisy. It was cute, but dragged in areas. I’m glad they finally got together......it took them long enough. I gave it 3 1/2 stars.

Loved it. So good! I couldn’t stop reading this!

Love it. This is such a great book to read. I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished it. I recommend this book.

Unfortunate. Needs editing. When creating a new thought there needs to be a new sentence or paragraph! Skips around without any flow. I could not get through the book. Sentences need to be reread to understand the intended meaning and context. This feels like the structure and developed outline of a book has been created but the context still needs to be added.

Oops is right. Made it through the 1st chapter. Byeee....

I have a question. Can I read this as a stand alone?

Finally getting Kate’s book and it fit her perfectly!. Finally getting Kate’s book and it fit her perfectly! After Kate decides to let loose at her sister’s destination wedding, those decisions end up following her back to the US when she finds out that not only is she pregnant, but her baby daddy is her advisor for grad school. Lachlann is new to the US and excited to continue his career and research somewhere he knows can develop it, but all his dreams come to a halt when he realizes his new advisee is none other than Kate. After he finds out he’s going to be a father, the pair try to keep a low profile of their bundle of joy out of fear that he will be deported and lose his job because of it, even though the met before the school year. I really loved the character of Kate and her strong-willed personality and ability to do what she sets after, no matter how other people feel differently. While I wasn’t originally the biggest fan of Lachlann, I did enjoy how he stepped up to the plate once everything was out in the open and revealed his true feelings. Overall, I loved the book and the end of the Flower Shop Sisters series – each book was delightful and hilarious! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Great romcom book. A great story and funny one liners that made me laugh so much. Recommended to anyone who loves a cute romance and needs a laugh ❤️

Amazing. A must read! I laughed, cried and got hot and bothered! This is a great book!

Great story!! Easy read. I loved the characters and storyline. Picked it up and read it before falling asleep. Could not go to bed until it was finished. Light-hearted. Happy story.

Oopsi Daisy. Great story. Loved it. TY

Loved Oopsie Daisy. Oopsie Daisy by Iris Moreland is an wonderful read. I loved this story of the youngest smart daughter of the Wright sisters, Kate. Who decided to have a one night stand at her sisters wedding in Ireland with her new brother-in-law’s cousin. When she is back at school she is meeting with her University advisor and it’s Liam cousin Lachlan, her one night stand. Great set up for the challenges for Kate and Lachlan as student and professor then throw in an Oops. I love how Iris Moreland writes she draws you into the story with great chemistry between the characters. I highly recommend reading this book and you will enjoy reading it. A nice but overly sexed read. I’m no prude but enough with the sex scenes. Actually got boring and skipped. Nice ending to the story.

Cute but could go deeper. The story line is cute, and there’s some smart humor in there. The book has a lot of potential but there are quite a few inconsistencies in timing of the story, timing of the pregnancy; and missed opportunities to delve into the feelings and emotions.

Decent story but a few flaws. Decent enough story but the timeline is all over the place. It needs a bit of work.

😁. Nice and easy read, steamy and romantic. 😊

Nice story but needs a proofreader. Lovely story, but really needs the errors correcting. As well as spelling errors the main character goes from being 18 weeks pregnant back to three months pregnant …but if you can ignore that it’s a fun read.

Worth the read. Great read

Oopsie Daisy!. Moreland doesn’t disappoint in this novel. Kate, the younger brilliant sister, has her own entanglement. We see the seamier side of academic life but another entertaining read.

Kate and Lochlan. This is the third book in this series and it is quirky, funny and totally hilarious. Kate and Lochlan's story is a fun read and while it is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone. I enjoyed Kate's witty comebacks and her inability to stop babbling when she was nervous. Lochlan is quiet and serious but he can't help but fall for Kate even when he knows he shouldn't.

They kept me laughing. There’re a lot of years between me and Kate. And I had to keep reminding myself that acting childish isn’t out of character when the character practically still is one. She jokes about being sixteen in a couple of scenes and then pretty much acts like she is for most of the rest of the book. I liked Lochlann. He has no emotional intelligence whatsoever, but I liked Lochlann. I don’t quite understand how these two worked together, but they kept me laughing for the whole book. Yeah, there are some holes in the plot where I would have loved to know more about what happened. And, yes, I think Lochlann is a coward and a great big doofus for the way he handled his job and treated Kate. (I’m feeding him a little bit more rope to hang himself with here, because as I suggested above, he has the empathy of a root vegetable.) And their happy ever after does come about with next to no real effort. But they kept me laughing. I’ve discovered I can gloss over a lot of things that probably irritate the daylights out of other people if a book can keep me entertained. I’m sad to know that I’ve just read the last of the sisters, however, I’m dying to know who’s up next. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Hidden Gems Books.

Oopsie Daisy. Really enjoyed the book. There were a couple of incidents of repetition, but other than that an easy read. Cute loveable story!

Oh no!. What is it with male characters being dominant and degrading to female characters, especially when much younger?
