If your into cats go for it. Boring, didn’t like main character, nor do I like cats. If i new it were a story about cats, I would not have gotten it.

Sisters by Choice. As with all Susan Mallery’s books, I enjoyed reading Sisters by Choice. Each of the three main characters has flaws and issues they need to work through. Their love and desire to help each other is apparent. In the end, all three have a solution, though not what they may have expected. In Sisters by Choice, with her unique style, Susan shares all the emotions that come with dealing with family.

Sophie is me!!. Susan Mallory is one of my favorite authors and I feel like I always say how much I love this book or that book of hers. However I do believe Sisters By Choice is my favorite. I am only child. I have 4 good friends that I say are like my sisters but I got to choose them. I swear Sophie is based off of my life. I’ve never wanted marriage or kids. My career has always been important to me, and I am one car away from the “crazy cat lady!” This book was like looking in on my own life. Friendships, rescuing cats, and of course a little of a love life thrown in. But this book definitely deals with the friendship aspect over the relationship aspect. I will definitely be keeping this book and rereading it!

Another great Mallery book!. Mallery is a master at women’s fiction and family dynamics. She weaves a believable story of growth and healing with her female AND male characters giving us an enjoyable and very satisfying ending. Mallery continues to be one of my favorite and must read authors.

Sisters By Choice. I love Susan Mallery! This book did not disappoint. Another home run in my book. Characters we can fall in love with, relate to and even strongly(hate) dislike!! A story that will resonate with you awhile. Susan Mallery just gets better every book! This series has such a realistic storyline. We all have choices in life and everyone of us questions them at one point or another. Sophia is in turmoil, Kristine is getting restless and Heather is just starting her quest. They all have elements that resonated with me. A must read!

Great Read. Another great read by Susan Mallery. A hard one to put down and sad when it finally ends. The Blackberry Island series is wonderful. Looking forward to #5 in the series.

Return to blackberry island was worth the wait. Susan is a master in bringing characters to life and making you care about them. You get angry with them, cry with them, laugh with them. I am so glad she returned to blackberry island. It’s a magical place. This is a story of coming together and forming a bond as close as sisters. I found myself falling in love all over again with the island and Sophie, Kristine and Heather. I found myself pulling for them and so glad they have each other. And of course we cannot forget about the wonderful cats in this book! I love how Susan always brings in an animal to love.

Sisters by Choice. I have read Susan Mallery’s books for years. This book was a little different from Susan’s previous books. The three characters we really different, and I wasn’t sure if I would like them as well. Sophie Lane sure was a different woman, but the more I read her story, I understood her, didn’t agree with everything she did but understood her. Kristine finally stood up for herself and started the bakery she always wanted to have, and finally her husband came around to see that she was doing this for the family and not just for herself as he originally thought. Men!! Heather, this poor girl had an awful mother who made Heather feel guilty for wanting more out of than what her mother wanted for her. I was so glad that she finally left to go to college!

Not what I expected!. This is book 4 in the Blackberry Island series and it features cousins, Sophie, Kristine and Heather. Sophie is a mess! She has major issues with being in a relationship because of her past. She’s got an unnatural OCD with running her multi million dollar cat supply empire, which is REALLY strange. Even though she hires people to run certain departments, she can’t seem to stop interfering with their jobs. Kristine just wants to open her own bakery after being a stay at home mom and wife for so long. Her husband was really a jerk about it all. Heather just wants to live life for herself instead of taking care of her totally able-bodied mother, Amber. Amber is an awful person. She’s rude, entitled like no one I’ve ever seen and just wants to be taken care of, even though she is 100% able to take care of herself. I think I liked only one character in the whole book and that was Kristine. The family dynamics were interesting but the romance was horrible and made ZERO sense. It probably would have been better with no romance at all. I’m a big fan of this author but this book was a HUGE let down for me.
