A fun read. I wish there was more in this series, but I think I have read them all so far.

Really good read. I think this is one of my favorites in the series. Loved the ending, the personal story was......at first just ‘over dramatized’ but then once you got the background, total change of heart. The over arch story continuation, excellent. I actually paused a few times, stepped back to other things before continuing as I got stressed, which means I was totally into the story. I will admit, the sexual prowess of the lather is a thing, I get it, but it is getting to be an obstacle to get through in reading the series, I absolutely am just reading first words of paragraph until I know thee sex scene is done so i can just get back to the story, the important part. I really appreciate this author, have read most all of her stuff. She has a great imagination, world building, and I love going along for the ride. Worth the coin.

Disappointed. Xaan and Kenna have been dancing around each other for a while now. They were my most anticipated couple. Two extremely strong, loving and loyal individuals. Everyone could see how they felt about each other. I could not wait to read their story. Needless to say, I was a little disappointed. They were put on a mission together. The Emperor match making again. Xaan and Kenna’s characters completely changed. They were no longer the smart General Champion and marine. A train wreck story really. Redeemed in the end by the action. The most ridiculous was their mating in the middle of all the chaos. Dumb. I wanted a better story for them. I did like Stephen. Wanted to find out what happened to him. Interesting character. Hope to learn more about him.
