Brilliant series. Brilliant end to a brilliant series. All these books have been well written with realistic characters and storylines. Ellie has researched the historical facts and written about them with amazing accuracy. I really felt I was part of the scene be it in the Far East with the heat and humidity or shivering in an air raid shelter listening to the bombs dropping.

Homecoming. I have loved everyone of the books in this series and am sad to have come to the end. I have learnt a lot and the books detailing Singapore brought back many memories of Raffles and life in Singapore and Malaya in the 50’s.

The best series I’ve ever read!. If I could give this book and series 10 stars I would. I loved every single book, so much I’ve read the whole series twice! I accidentally stumbled on the First book in the Beachview series at my doctors surgery and ever since then I have been hooked. My grandma is also a big fan of Ellie Dean and we’ve throughly enjoyed chatting together about the books and characters! I was actually sad when the series came to an end! Love the characters, especially Ron (he reminds me of my Dad) and I love the way the books made me feel like I was really there living through the war years with them. Amazing books!
