Great Read. This was superbly written with shocking and relatable dialogue. If not for ruthlessly building up the sexual tension and then mercilessly depriving us of unwrapped lovemaking repeatedly, I would have given this 5 stars. I was like a dagger in the heart truly.
So goof. Mirrors my upbringing in so many ways. Fell in love with a girl when I was 17 in small town Alabama. Was banned from seeing her and “excommunicated.” Our reunification several years later proved that we weren’t meant to be together forever, but she’ll always be my first. Lovely book. It’s nice to feel understood.
