The Living Canvas Book Reviews
The Living Canvas by Pepper Winters Book Summary
The Second and Final Book in the Master of Trickery Duet!
“Must be brave, stubborn, and impervious to the tempers of loved ones.”
The first line hissed with history.
“Hours are endless, pay is non-existence, quitting absolutely forbidden.”
The second line ached with truth.
“Able to function on no sleep, refrain from running when times get hard, and be more than just a living canvas but a lover.”
The third thrummed with honesty.
“Other attributes required: forgiving, opinionated, and not afraid to tell me when I’m wrong. Must also enjoy being touched and kissed at any time of my choosing.”
The fourth glowed with promise.
“Call or email ‘YOUR HEART, HIS SOUL’ if interested in applying.”
The final made my future unfold.
The advert was so similar to one I should never have applied for.
A twist of fate that brought two destined people back together.
A job I would take in a heartbeat if the employer could offer such terms.
But I wasn’t free.
Neither was Gil.
Therefore, my interview could never happen.

Perfect Ending. Pepper gave us the perfect conclusion to Gil and Olin’s story. It was a messy, emotional story, but it was theirs. I loveddd their story and I’m extremely happy with the way it ended. Pepper’s writing is excellent and it shows in each and every book how well she can write a story. I am NEVER disappointed. Read this story but also read all the others as well.
Great book!. If I stood any chance of finding who I truly was, I had to open my wings.” This was the second book in the Pepper Winters duet and it did not disappoint. I listened to the first book in audio as well so the narration was still perfect. Both narrators put Medication right into the book and I forgot it was just a book! The last book left on a huge cliffhanger and I really had no clue how this book was going to work. I loved how the author constructed the conclusion and how not everything went easy like it does in some books. Real life consequences happened and it truly was nice to see. Olin drove me insane a little in this book because she did a complete 360 from book 1 but it was understandable why she acted the way she did. I really enjoyed these books and will definitely be checking out more Pepper Winters books! I am so glad I listened to tases in audio because I just loved the narrators. It truly is a heartbreaking duet and you really do feel so many emotions listening to these books.
Sad. I normally love all her books but these 2 idk I just kept skipping pages
So good!. Pepper has once again knocked it out of the park and wowed me! I’m seriously always amazed with her writing and her work and this one was no different! This book was seriously amazing and once i got started i was completely sucked in! There were moments where i was on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what happened next! This duet as a whole was simply amazing but book 2 definitely went to the next level! The suspense and all the words gahh I can’t even begin to say how much i loved every minute of it! Pepper has always been on of my one click authors and I’m simply amazed with her work! If you guys haven’t read this duet yet then you should! It’s sooo good ! This is a definite 5 ⭐️ read and i highly recommend it!
A Flawed Conclusion. The Living Canvas concludes the duet in a rushed, yet somewhat satisfactory manner. Yes, the narrative did tie up plot points, but the execution was a bit lackluster.

Good concept but huge holes in writing. Quite unrealistic regarding some of the processes such as court etc. for a book that’s set in England it’s very Americanized in language and terminology, names of services etc! Also if you are going to write about things such as children’s services you need to make the whole thing realistic. Generally a good story line/concept but lots of holes. I can’t believe that no one mentioned DNA etc.
Amazing. Love Pepper Winters, first read the dollar series and LOVED it then The Body Painter and Living canvas and it didn’t disappoint. Moving onto a new series by Pepper now.
