Embraced in Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan Book Summary

The Montgomery Ink saga continues with an unforgettable romance where two best friends make a bet that could change their lives forever.
Bristol Montgomery and Marcus Stearn have been best friends for so long, they sometimes forget when they weren't as close as they are now. While friends and family think there's something beneath the surface of their friendship, the two have always been steadfast in their stance on no heated looks or deeper feelings.
The problem? Years ago, they promised each other that if neither of them was married by the time Bristol turned thirty, they'd marry each other.
Even though both have long since decided never to force the other into an arranged marriage, circumstances and sheer stubbornness force them to refuse to back out of their deal.
Now, they're determined to get married—even as dangerous exes and feelings they deny, block their path.

Amazing. Bristol and Marcus’s story is one of the best friends to lovers story. They have been best friends since they were six years old. When Bristol turns 20 at her birthday party they make a pack together that if neither one of them is married by the time the 30 they would marry each other..... Can they change the Dynamics of them relationship and still remain best friends or will it be to much for them !! I absolutely loved their journey to their happily ever after ...

Love these two. I loved the story of Bristol and Marcus. This was definitely different than any other book I’ve read. My one and only complaint was there was a truly predictable scenario that I wasn’t too fond of. Other than that one moment, I loved every second of it! Like I said, these two were totally different. I adore that they were such good friends and then made that crazy promise! I thought it was so truly hysterical, but it definitely made you go “hmmm??”. To make a promise like they did was pretty ballsy, or dumb, depending on how you look at it. BUT, I LOVED IT! I thought it was definitely a drunken thought of some deeeeeep inner thinkings. Friends to lovers is one of my favorites, and they are always so sweet. I loved seeing the moment when they took their friendship to an entire different level. There was the perfect amount of hunger and confusion. It was great! Hunger and confusion, it’s the best way to describe their relationship. They didn’t really know how to balance these unearthed feelings and and their friendship. Such a slippery slope that they completely flailed over themselves trying to navigate. They slipped down that slope in the worst way. One of the best parts of this is their family. Both of their families had such an impact on this story. The Montgomery clan is something so special, and their girlfriends are just as special. In this story the families were the perfect coaches. They truly were the glue that held Bristol and Marcus together. Helped them get past their fears and stupidity. Because when it came down to it, these two had a lot of fears and stupidity. I can’t wait to see where Carrie Ann takes us next!

Friends to lovers. They seem so different yet compliment each other as best friends usually do. However they made a promise, a promise neither was sure they could keep. Bristol and Marcus both afraid the ruin the friendship but both so in love and terrified to say it. To watch these two try to navigate the hard parts while walking on eggs shells was so hard, yet you could help root for them to come out victorious on the other side. I loved the siblings interplay and how protective they are. We say hello to old friends and meet some new ones. This is a great friends to loves to soul mates story!

Embraced in ink. Of all of the Montgomery books, I think this one hits in my top favorites. I absolutely love childhood friends to lovers, but throw in this not quite arranged marriage and I am in love. Bristol and Marcus struggle with everyone already thinking that they are a couple when they are only best friends, but as a means to not lose their friendship they decide that if they are both single on Bristol's 30th bday that they will get married, but they must remain friends over the ten years to make sure they aren't marrying a stranger. Instead of bonding them closer this bargain actually strains their friendship as they both try to avoid the possibility of losing each other. I loved the twist with Bristol I honestly didn't see it coming but I am glad in the end it brought them closer together!

The One Where Besties Agree To Marry If.... You know how best-friends say if they’re not married by a certain time then they’ll get married to each other (like Rachel & Phoebe we’re picking between Ross & Joey on Friends)? Well that’s what Bristol & Marcus did on on her 20th birthday. If by her 30th they weren’t married to other people, they would marry each other. Best-friends forever. Jump 10 years and Bristols 30th birthday party and “Walla”, besties engaged. What follows is the two of them trying to figure out true feelings (and having a darn good time doing it), but not communicating as much as they should. Also add in a pompous Brit, and you know there could be some ish’s. This is the Montgomery clan, so you know it’ll be a great read!

The Montgomerys are my go to for romantic drama. Bristol’s story brings us into the life of a concert cellist. Of course we all think celebrities of any kind have a wonderful life, but I think his tale probably doesn’t show how lonely and isolated they could be. At least Bristol has her family and especially Marcus. This is a beautiful example of a best friend to lovers trope. These characters really come to life and we get to know them intimately. The angst is rampant, the sexy times are smoking hot, and the HEA makes your heart happy. PS, don’t forget the extended epilogue, it is just the sweetest!

A definite must read!. A best friend to lovers with the Montgomery Ink setting equals awesomeness! Bristol and Marcus takes friendship to a new level when a promises become so much more. I loved the realistic storyline with the likable characters that draws you in this story of friendship and love that was written in the stars. Steamy loving, great chemistry and a HEA makes this newest release a must read! If you been craving for another read from this series that keeps on giving than this is for you. I can’t wait for more!

Beautifully and Simply Love. This was a lovely instalment in the Boulder Montgomery’s series, and whilst there was unexpected mayhem, it was the captivating love between Bristol and Marcus that stole the show. This was in a word ‘nice’ as nothing else can adequately describe the beautiful simplicity of their love and devotion. Of course there are ups and downs, and anxious moments where they, like all of us, feel scared and don’t take the risk to speak their minds and from the heart; but that doesn’t overshadow the joy and happiness that seems to burst from the pages as these two characters continue their journey. A truly lovely love story!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Absolutely love Jason Clarke narration. Book 3 Montgomery ink Boulder by Carrie Ann Ryan Bristol and Marcus have been bad since they were 6 but at Bristol’s 20th birthday they promise agree to marry each other if they aren’t with anyone by there 30th birthday. I love that they keep a close relationship even when they both go there separate ways and eventually end up back together again. Deep down inside I think they both had feelings for each other but never expressed it until Bristol proposal is over seen by family members and they have to up the fake engagement. While they were in fake engagement they get very close and very affectionate that surprised both of them. Absolutely love this author and this series.

Fabulous !!!. Another fantastic book!!! Bristol and Marcus have been best friends since they were six years old. Now that Bristol has turned thirty there promise to each other has come !! Loved this entire book and highly recommend you start reading this fabulous author if you haven’t. I received a free copy of this book for an voluntary and honest review.

Bristol and Marcus. This is a great friends to lovers romance that is really sweet. I love that Bristol and Marcus have been friends since they were six and that their families are also friends. The mother's are so great about the engagement. This story has lots of emotions and great characters, but Colin deserves to be beaten. It is always fun to visit with the Montgomerys and catch up with what the family is doing.

Embraced in ink. another great book took me a bit to get in to ut in the end it was great

Very enjoyable.. This was another really enjoyable story. Plenty of drama, lovely interaction and a great friends to lovers read.

Friends to Lovers. Embraced in Ink is book three in Carrie Ann Ryan’s Montgomery Ink: Boulder series. This book follows Bristol Montgomery and Marcus Stearn. Each book in the series are stand-alones with HEA. Bristol Montgomery and Marcus Stearn have been friends since childhood. Growing up together with a strong friendship and family relationship, they make a pact that if they are still single by the time they turn thirty they will marry each other. The time has come and they are both single and back in each other’s lives. Will they go through with the pact or will something or someone stop them? I do have to be honest and say that this wasn’t one of the best books that I have read by Carrie Ann Ryan. I felt that there was a little too much inner monologue and the constant back and forth with their emotions drove me a little crazy. But this in no way reflects poorly on ms Ryan’s capability as a writer. Her books are always an alluring and addictive read. I just felt that I wasn’t able to connect with these characters.
