Sizzling HOT!. 4.5 Stars This is book three in the Swoon series and it features Dawson and Eve. They’ve known each other for a couple years and he’s always been the consummate flirt/practical joker with everyone. Most say he flirts/jokes differently with her but she’s not so sure. He so good looking and sexy that he couldn’t possibly be interested in someone like her…right? These two are setting the sheets on FIRE! They both have issues but if he doesn’t learn to deal with his, he could lose her forever. This is a sweet and hot romance with sexy cowboys and first responders. I can’t wait for the next book in this fantastic series!

I have to honest with you... this is my first book that I have read from this author, and I picked a book that was the third installment in a series.lol But let me tell you it will not be the last... I have one-clicked the first two already. This book follows Dawson and Evie and OMG!! It is so swoon worthy. This book contains great writing, believable characters and a fantastic plot. A Beautiful Swoon Worthy Story. This was my first with J.H. Croix and I can definitely say that it won't be my last! Break My Fall was full of swoon, chemistry, and personal growth. We are able to see how just because the baggage of our past tries to take us over and bring us down, if we just embrace that it is that baggage which makes us us we can truly find the peace and the love that we desire. This was a beautiful book and I cannot wait to start back at the beginning on the Swoon Series and see what other beautiful stories J.H. Croix has shared.

Great read. This is book 3 of the Swoon series and the first on that I have read and I really enjoyed this book. Dawson and Evie were such a great couple. The chemistry between them was off the charts. You could feel it radiating off the pages. I am surprised that my Kindle didn’t melt. They both had some issues in their past and they were able to overcome those because they had each other. I loved watching how their friendship developed into something much more. Great book. Easy to read romance. Really enjoyed reading Dawson and Evie’s story. Their back and forth joking and banter along with their undeniable chemistry made this an awesome romance. This was my first book in this series and I can say that you can read it completely as a standalone, although I plan to joe read the first 2 books! If you are looking for an easy to read romance with some steamy chemistry this book is for you!

Worth the read. The book starts very fast. I was a little confused at the beginning but I stuck it out and I do love the chemistry of the main characters.

A new series!. Let me start off with saying I read this book not realizing it was part of a series. I still was able to enjoy and understand the book, but my type a personality loves to reach things in order! I am grateful that I found this series because I know I have a brand new one to enjoy and a new author to read (two of my favorite things) I loved the overall writing of the series. It gripped and pulled you in to the point that you are swiping your IPad faster and faster to devour the words that are on the screen. Each chapter pulled me deeper into the story of Dawson and Evie. The two people who should be together in my opinion but were fighting it for some weird reason. I love the development of both characters. Especially when it comes to Evie dealing with the demons of her past and how she fights through that, with the support from Dawson. It is hard for Evie to trust what Dawson says, being a playboy, so will these two get their HEA?

4.5 flames of heat. I have yet to find a J.H Croix book I don't enjoy, and this one certainly doesn't disappoint! I loved everything about Dawson and Evie! Loved the characters, loved being able to get some updates from past characters in this world, loved the heat between these two mc!

Great read. Dawson and Evie both work at the Stolen Hearts Lodge. Dawson is a fun loving flirt who prefers one night stand vs relationships. Evie, while not looking for a relationship, is not against having one if the right guy comes along...and Dawson is definitely not the right guy. However, after 2 years of teasing and working together things begin to change when he randomly kisses her! A great read to see how their story unfolds and how their private pasts affect their relationship!

Good book. Good character development and why they struggle with relationships. Over use of “a short time later” or “some time later” seem like they got tired of being descriptive- but it was still a good read.

JH will always be a one click! Amazing story!. This was such a beautiful story, showing how time and friendship can lead to the most beautiful relationship. Dawson’s character absolutely drew me in. He has the tough outer shell, when he’s truly hurting inside. Depression is a contest battle for him, as a child he didn’t live in the best environment as his father was an abusive man. As well as working as a first responder, it has shown him things that not everyone can handle. Evie hasn’t had the easiest live growing up either. Losing her twin sister was a huge pivotal moment in her life. Her peers would pick on her, and this made her not as confidence as she should be. Dawson has always been known as the playboy, the one night stand guy. Evie wants more than someone for just a night. When these two finally realize what has been right in front of them can they give each other the chance they both deserve? J.H. Croix has really made an impact on me with this story. The subject of depression is always something that people seem to hush, as if it’s a terrible secret. She wrote about it extremely well, and I can say I will always be one clicking for her books!

Sweet and emotional story. Dawson and Evie were just so sweet and perfect together! They both carry a lot of baggage and have to learn to overcome their struggles and insecurities to get their HEA. Their story was easy to read, entertaining and I enjoyed their fun banter. Chemistry between them was off the charts and steamy hot! There were also emotional moments dealing with Evie's childhood trauma and Dawson's depression. It was really heartwarming to read how both Evie and Dawson grew stronger together and helped each other with their struggles. This was another winner in this series and I can't wait to see what's in store for Dani and Wade! Dawson and Evie. Break My Fall by JH Croix is my favorite of the swoon series! Dawson and Evie have worked together for three years have flirted with each other until the “kiss”. Evie knows Dawson is a big flirt and doesn’t do relationships. Dawson flirts and only has one date with women. Evie and Dawson have swoon worthy chemistry. Break My Fall deals with depression, how it affects your life and how differently Dawson and Evie deal with depression. JH Croix wrote a well written romantic story and handles the topic of depression in the relationship of Evie and Dawson beautifully. I highly recommend reading this book. Definitely Swoon Worthy. I Love this one.... Dawson and Evie Have danced around each other for years. But fate has big plans for these two. When they finally give into their feelings it’s OMG! Break My Fall. The Stolen Heart Lodge is definitely a great series you can loose yourself in and a wonderful place to be. This book is about Dawson and Evie, who have been friends for two years and both work at Stolen Hearts. Dawson and Evie's relationship is of a playful nature; always teasing and pulling pranks on each other. It's been like that since the day they met. However, both of them are attracted to one another, but do not act upon it. Until one night, where Dawson gives in and kisses Evie. However, Evie knowing that Dawson is a big time player does not allow him to play with her and just tries to ignore the sparks that flew in that kiss. Evie has to protect her heart from the player that she believes Dawson to be, but Dawson does not show his real self to anyone. Even though Dawson and Evie are friends, Evie does not really know Dawson. As they get closer she starts to see Dawson differently and Dawson realizes that he enjoys time with Evie. Dawson's father suffered from depression and used alcohol and drugs to escape the depression. Dawson is afraid that he may become his father and does not want to get too close to anyone, especially Evie who he cares for. However, he soon discovers that she is his light and wants to be with her. This book definitely has a happy ending. This whole series is wonderful. I highly suggest reading it.

When your heart finds it’s home. What makes for a great read is the story but more importantly the characters of said story. This is where JH shines as a writer. Each person in this story is so very real. When you find your perfect someone in life they are your everything. They are your home in your heart. They make you become the best you. They accept ALL of you. This is what break your fall is all about. It will make you, as someone said, all warm and fuzzy. It will give you hope in that, no matter your past your future will be magical with that perfect someone. For Dawson it’s Evie. Now how they get there..... well that’s the fun of reading this book !!!!!! I have the joy of being on JH’s ARC team. Having said that, this review is an honest one. Enjoy the story!!!!!!!!

Ever and Dawson will definitely make you swoon!. Once I dove into this book, I couldn't put it down. Evie and Dawson have a short history, but it's an intense history - and that intensity spills into their eventual relationship. While that relationship has its incredibly rocky moments, the both of them grow and mature in ways that make them one of my favorite book couples I've read this year. Add into it the backdrop of the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains, and this story is beautiful in so many ways. It's also a little dark at times, and incredibly realistic, which I very much appreciated; Evie and Dawson aren't all cupcakes and unicorns and all-the-way-in-love-from-the-first-second-they-see-each-other, which made this story a little unpredictable (in a good way) and a great read. Absolutely LOVED. Omg! These two! These two give you all the feels!! This is my first book by this author and it certainly won’t be my last. I couldn’t put this book down. What a page turner. The author dives into some deep topics, real topics. We watch as the characters grow together, we watch how they battle their emotions and we watch as two people let down walls and let each other in. Gahhh...I absolutely loved this book. The angst that was felt had me flipping the pages and that ending.....SWOON!! Break my fall. Love the intimacy between all the characters especially Dawson & Evie.

Dawson and Evie. Dawson is known for his playboy ways and big time flirting but with Evie that’s a whole different kind of flirting, and everyone but them have noticed. Dawson has a dark past that he doesn’t like to talk about and it’s also part of the reason that he doesn’t do relationships. But with Evie he wants to open up and let her in, he’s just scared of the feelings he has for her and that she won’t feel the same way. Evie has her own insecurities and believes that someone as hot as Dawson would never be interested in her. It doesn’t take long for those insecurities to be squashed with the way Dawson can’t get enough of her. Then he suddenly becomes distant and pushes her away leaving her confused and heartbroken. I cannot get enough of J.H. Croix’s books. They are so addictive. These two were hot from the start and their chemistry was undeniable. I loved it from beginning to end. Dawson is so passionate towards Evie and her insecurities melt away the second Dawson even looks at her. Can’t wait for the next one.
