Very Good!. Romantic and with a good suspenseful story and developed characters. Looking forward to the conclusion.

Borderline rape and abusive scenes. I mostly enjoyed reading the first book to this series as the writing was eloquent and storyline interesting, but in the second book it made me come to the conclusion that some scenes were borderline rape. When someone says ‘NO’ it’s NO. The author tried to make it erotic, however I started to skip large sections of this book because much of it was insane and I couldn’t stomach what was happening to the girl. I hope younger readers don’t find this romantic, the situations were very abusive and unacceptable.

Wonderful. The series is nikki’s best work. This is modern day “Dynasty”

I am obsessed with this book!. Holy smokes, what did I just read?! My mind is blown in the best way! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I am obsessed and consumed with this fascinating world & fascinating characters Nikki Sloane created! I was so obsessed that I did not want to put down this book! This book picks up right where The Initiation left off, and then took me on a roller-coaster ride of tension, emotion & literal gasp inducing twists & turns. If you love to leave the real world & want to become obsessed with a book world that has enthralling yet twisted storytelling and compelling characters like I do, then read this book & series! I received a copy of this ebook from Social Butterfly PR for my honest review.

Wow. When they say “filthly” rich they are NOT kidding!

Too Good. I have read the first two books in four days and I’m a full time mom of twins! I’ve had absolutely no sleep in the past week because of these amazing books that are too good to put down!

Rape and twisted. Border line rape. This book should have come with warnings. Had to skip pages to not have certain images painted in my head. Nothing about this was romantic sexy or erotic.

Holding my breath…. This series has a great combination of passion, drama, sex, and family power! All combined to really have you holding on by a thread but pulling you right back for more!

Hardcore Critic. I can’t stop thinking about the characters!!!!!!!!!!!! The story!!!! The everything!!!!!!LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! SUPER JUICY....SIZZLING HOT.....& best of all NAUGHTY!!!!!!

Dysfunctional and Manipulative. I couldn’t believe this book!! Macalister is a rapist and a pervert!! Not to mention a horrible father, husband and person!! I can’t blame is youngest son or his wife for anything. He drove his wife crazy!! I Pray Marist and Royce find a way to out Maneuver him. And Marist character questionable also!

Trigger warnings and spoiler alerts. This book should have trigger warnings on it cause some of the scenes are just WAY too rapey, I was deeply uncomfortable reading some of the scenes and really wish I could get them out of my head, I skipped so many pages just to not paint the scenes. Also Marist is compared to Medusa A LOT but this book just paints Marist as weak and never standing up for herself like I know she’s made a deal and she owes the Hale man but it’s like she never learned the pattern with Macalister and kept letting herself be fooled over and over again. Truly disturbed and would not recommend.

All time favorite. I read 2-3 novels a week and this series is by far my favorite in the past few years. I cannot make it till November.

What a wild ride!. I devoured this one in a day! If you thought The Initiation was fantastic, this one tops it!! You won’t be able to put it down! It’s all about the facade... Total mind manipulation! Twists and turns will keep you hooked throughout! That ending will leave you BEGGING for The Deception NOW!!!

Creepy. (Spoiler alerts) I could handle the boardroom scene in the first book - slightly twisted but mostly consensual. This book really crossed over the line. The father-in-law with the vibrator and the oral sex was just too rape-y and twisted to be erotic.

Fangoddamntastic. Oh my god so mean to end it like that and make me wait for the next book. This book is smoking hot, gritty and raw I love all the twists and turns and duality of the characters. Such a great book can't wait for the next

Holy Smokin' story hell.. When Nikki Sloane ups the stakes, she doesn’t hold back. If you thought things couldn’t get any hotter, dirtier or more deviant than ‘The Initiation’ (Part 1 of ‘Filthy Rich Americans’), you’d be wrong. So, so wrong. Marist and Royce have fought and struggled to be together. To be just another young couple falling in love, but Macalister is having none of that. The man is in the very words of the book. Obsessed. He’s a dirty and depraved soul but it makes some taboo-ish, filthy scenes. Royce is working hard to beat his father, but somehow, Macalister seems to be two steps ahead of his son in every move. He’s trying to make Marist his by forcing her to spend time with him, but she’s not an easy catch. This book was fast-paced, hot, sinfully dirty and oh, so delicious when Marist and Royce got to be alone. Macalister might think he’s the better man, but we and Marist see the truth. But watch out, there’s a sting in this tale, one you won’t see coming. Can’t wait for the conclusion to this series. Bring on ‘The Deception’.

Painfully addictive.. This series is like a car accident...you know you should put the book down, but you can’t. Read it straight through in one sitting, pre-ordered book 3 and am now waiting for November 5.

Completely Obsessed over The Obsession!. 5/5 Stars for the continuation of Filthy Rich Americans, The Obsession! Book Two resumes immediately after the end of The Initiation and does not skip a beat! Marist must now deal with the consequences of Royce’s choice to accept the family company’s shares over being with Marist. In name they are engaged, but within the walls of the Hale Estate she belongs to Macalister. The plot’s progress is in the shared time the two spend in Macalister’s office playing chess. The stakes are high, and Marist is a willing participant of the games she plays against Macalister in the hope of setting herself free. But Royce warns Marist that his father only wagers the highest of stakes when he knows he will win, and Macalister wants one thing - one person in particular - Marist, and he will play at all cost to have her. This was such a delicious read! While I find myself rooting for Marist and Royce, I can’t help to secretly cheer on Macalister. I really enjoy the first person narration as it only gives the reader Marist’s ordeal in dealing with the Hale men. It makes it really difficult to decide who has the more insidious agenda, Macalister or Royce, and I for one am loving this!!!!! Nikki Sloane has such amazing control of her characters. I really want to know so much more about Macalister and Royce, but it would ruin their characterization which is perfectly consistent throughout book two. Neither of the two men seem vulnerable but enough is given to the reader to understand the hate/hate relationship between the the father-son duo. Unfortunately, Marist is the sacrifice! I should also add that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the running Greek mythology theme that is the undertone in the plot of this novel. While in book one the focus was on Medusa, in The Obsession the underlying theme is the story of the Minotaur. The myth is interwoven with the storyline of Marist and Macalister so perfectly that it feels like a modern day retelling. Macalister is a beast and he has no qualms about this. He is ruthless in his aristocratic arrogance. I cannot wait for what’s in store in Book Three! The ending was perfect, with a tantalizing little twist that had me squealing with excitement! Bravo Nikki Sloane! Bravo! I am hooked and begging for Book Three! November can’t come soon enough! ❤️
