Letting go of their demons to have a future together. This is a story of Sage after being in the Army 15 years and then leaving it. She’s wondering what to do now and is in debt applies for a job at Bluegrass Security. Levi is the owner of Bluegrass Security and started it two years ago. He needs another employee as there are a string of burglaries in town. He sees Sages application and hired her sight unseen thinking she’s a he! When they meet it fire works as they don’t get along. He fires her for a two week trial. Will these two who have trust and issues in the past come together and work to find the burglar? And will the attraction they are fighting get in the way? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Loved it. Great read with lots of sass. Sage never fails to get under his skin and the HEA was much deserved.

What a fun and engrossing read!. If you love complex realistic characters in a well-written tale of romantic suspense, you will enjoy this series-starter story. The hearts of Levi and Sage each are bruised, but the attraction is strong even if their signals are sometimes mixed. Sage, a smart cookie, solves the mystery while both grow and deal with their past or hurts. There’s an entire cast of future characters for the rest of the series introduced, and each one is interesting and colorful. “Heart Thief” is a stand alone but makes you eager to learn about the others. Definitely recommend!

Loved it. This awesome book will grab you from the start and not let you go. I loved how Sage was able to get under Levi’s skin without even trying. The surprises, suspense, drama, twists, and so much more will not let you go, you’ll keep turning those pages through to the end.

Loving up and forward. Safe and Levi meet on a job offer, he is her boss. They fall for each other after a rough start.

Blue Grass Security Heart Thief. Good book and a great summer read.

Enjoyable Small Town Romance!!. This is a fun small town story with characters that grow on you and a sweet mystery. Levi is a bit of a grump, especially towards Sage, but she gives as good as she gets!! They have fantastic chemistry together and I loved their scenes together from their bickering to their other interactions! Sage’s dislike of sexism is totally relatable, especially in a field that doesn’t have too many women. I liked how she defended and stuck up to herself. I thought the mystery element was honestly a bit sweet when it was all said and done. There is a mystery, but no suspense/thriller elements. All in all, it’s a fairly fast read with steamy elements and a fun festival to boot.

Great book. I really enjoy when other authors I enjoy reading write in one of my favorites series. Such is the case with Heart Thief. Sapphire Falls is one of my all-time favorite series and PJ Fiala does a great job making Heart Thief a seamless part of the series. The book has just the right amount or romance and suspense. Looking forward to reading the next book in the Bluegrass Security series.

Small town romance. Delightful read that quickly drew me into the characters and town. For the most part you can cheer on and empathize with the characters. Hence the four stars. What detracted a little from the story was Sage being a little bit of a hypocrite with Levi and the ending all of a sudden just happened. Granted, this isn’t a long book and there were moments in the book where it would have been nice to have it fleshed out more. Otherwise, I did really enjoy getting to know each character that they had a common bond. I would recommend this book (short, sweet and a little steamy) and look forward to continuing the series

Sage Reynolds has been 15 years of her life in the army now out and drifting she applies for a job at Bluegrass Security where she’s hired site unseen. When she shows up for work she doesn’t expect a boss who believes women shouldn’t be in the security business... Levi, retired military needs more help with his new security company and he hires a man named Sage but when he shows up for the job Levi discovers he is really a she!! Oh my, now what happens...does Levi keep Sage, work together to solve the robberies, develop a trust that each is the best at what they do and keep the sparks from taking over???

Definitely Opposites Here - Or Are They?!?. Levi needs help with his security business. He received a Dear John letter while deployed years ago, and still can’t trust a woman over a decade later. Sage spent all her savings on her dad’s hospital bills. She doesn’t like small towns, but she needs a “restart”. It’s only a short-term contract, so she should survive. When Levi hires Sage, he doesn’t know she is a woman. A flare up from the first introduction. A quaint town, a rash of break-ins, puzzles to solve, and sparks begin to fly. I enjoyed the development of mutual respect for each other, is any relationship destined for failure?

Fun 1st story in a series. Loved it! Quick read full of humor, snark and mending of broken hearts.

A happy ending, but a dissatisfying read. The premise of the story wasn’t too bad, although similar to many others of this genre. I’m usually a sucker for stories with happy endings, but this one was tough to get through. While many stories are not realistic, this one was too rushed and needed more plot, character, and relationship development. Sage went from being tough and trying to prove herself, to falling in love with Levi, being jealous, and weeping over him in a matter of days. Levi didn’t want to work with a woman and was hung up on his ex from years before, and then the next day he was acting on his attraction for her and sharing his feelings. They had hardly spoken before they decided they were in love. At the end, I felt disappointed that I had spent time reading it.

Great Story!. I loved this story! I couldn’t put it down!

Four and a half stars. A tender and touching story about 2 former military veterans trying to work together and explore the attraction they have for each other. Things get off to a rocky start when Levi hires Sage as a security expert, believing she was a man. He practically fires her on the spot even though they just physically met and he needs the help. Casanova, Levi is not and Sage of course, correctly calls him out for sexual discrimination, ensuring sparks fly.

Heart thief. An entertaining read with some loveable characters . Loved it .
