Decent Read. This one follows along with the storyline of the previous 24 books so you can predict what’s going to happen. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. But it may be a bad thing when you’re skipping the more romantic bits just to get to the predictable story line. The main character was handled nicely. The author has done this character before and each time she gets better at writing that kind of history which gave this an extra star from me. However I now remove one star on principle if a certain character appears which is why this rating is a 3 and not a 4. Ever since the 15th book it seems like the goddess can now speak to everyone. It totally discredits the purpose of the priestesses and Nadia. Why was a mouthpiece so important if she can intervene every single time. At this point it just feels lazy writing.

Loved. What another amazing story for this author. I just love the Kindred bride stories. Let me warn you, this good cause some triggers but the author portray a survivor very well. I can not imagine what it was like for Anna. Knowing she might not survive, missing her family, and feeling so alone. She was being abused and this had to wear on her mentally knowing the abuse was only going to get worse. I just loved Dark which is what is part Dark Healer and part Blood Kindred. The last thing he had to expect to find on this undercover mission was a pretty woman needing help. The author was very creative when writing this story. There was also some very touchy subjects in this story that I think the author handled very well. I believe stories should not always be sun shine and roses but portray the good and the bad. I think the author took a bad situation and shown how one can survive and come out strong. This was truly a great story and glad I got a chance to read the book.

Awesome read!. Loved it. Another great one. Sad that they lost their mom when they were young. I couldn’t put it down. It had me from beginning to the end. Deceived. Deceived: Brides of the Kindred 24 - Evangeline Anderson The summary of the book by the author is a peak into amazing book 24 of the Kindred warriors, but it only touches the surface of what the readers are made to experience and feel from the two main characters; Dark and Anna. Both characters have been through hell having been abducted/ kidnapped and forced into horrible situations. Dark (a mixed Kindred)had a life as a renowned chef with his own restaurant when one of the Yonnie6 mistresses kidnaps him and he endures being her slave before being freed. On the mothership Dark accepts an undercover role as a replicant chef for a horrible Trollex. While trying to steal a special crystal before It can fall into the hands of an evil AI who wants to use it to take over the world he discovers Anna, a woman who was kidnapped and sold to the Trollex as a breeder. Now Dark has two missions, to recover the crystal and save Anna from the Trollex. Of course Dark realizes Anna is his mate and there are some special hot scenes between the two (not all the way) . Anna only allows herself to become intimate with the handsome kind “replicant” (after having been physically and mentally abused),because he is supposedly not a real male. This exciting book has several storylines woven throughout this that keeps readers on their toes and riding the rollercoaster with the main characters. This is a wonderfully well written addition to the main Kindred Bride series. The main characters have been through horrible experiences but they are both survivors. Now the question is will they be able to heal and will Anna be able to forgive Dark for having to “Deceive “ her. Deceived is filled with intrigue, danger, heartbreak, plot twists and turns, the authors unique steamy scenes 🔥🔥🔥🔥as well as her phenomenal ever growing world building. An amazing book and awesome addition to the Kindred Bride series.
