Eliza has been given a gift, the gift of motherhood in the little baby she finds. The trail is full of adventure for Eliza especially when her feelings for Hank become more than friendship. But she never thought the nightmare she left behind would follow her with a vengeance! I absolutely loved this! Cynthia Woolf did an outstanding job in portraying the turbulent lives of women in the 1800s. Plenty of intrigue, emotional turmoil, likeable characters a heroine that deserved a happy life. A wonderful well deserved ending!

Great addition. Wow. Eliza is an awesome addition to the Mail-Order Brides stories. This book shows the westward wagon train from two different perspectives, Eliza and her new best friend Millicent. The two girls could not be more different though they were both running from their pasts. The courage displayed by our ancestors, trying to carve a new life for themselves in the west was amazing. They both meet their perfect match and after some issues are resolved become glad that they did. A great read.
