Shifter’s world. I cannot wait to read the rest of the saga!!! The introduction to the characters and their world was very smooth and the storyline and emotional conflict of the character is very easy to get attach!! You will love this book.

Find a mate or else. The Borealis brothers have to find a mate or loose their company. They’ve decided to do what their grandfather demands but on their terms. James decides if he has to mate he wants his best friend Kaylee but she believes it could never work between them. James needs to prove it can and is willing to do anything for her. A fun and sexy romp in the fur I can’t wait for the next brother to fall.

The Bears Chosen Mate. This was a amazing read. This is book one in the series and was a amazing beginning. The storyline is exciting and full of adventure. The characters are amazing you well fall in love with them if you love a great shifter romance adventure then this story is for you.

Really fun book. This is Book 1 in the Borealis Bears series. Wow! James’s grandfather told the grandsons to get mated/married or else! James doesn’t plan on doing that but the polar bear mating fever may just change his mind. Then Kaylee, his best friend shows up at the worst time ever. Or is it? This was such a fun book and then add his grandfather to the story and it just gets better. I highly recommend this book if you want a fun romance to read. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

Choosing love. Terrific! I love it when best friends take the plunge. For me, this is one of those romance stories that leave you with that breath of good warm feelings and you know when it ends you will read it again. James is determined and knows exactly who he wants. Kaylee is just as attracted to him but she second guesses herself. Great strong, independent and smart couple, great family their antics made me laugh. I absolutely love that the plot remains focused on them. James has set a very high standard for this series but I can’t wait to read about the next brother’s downfall, lol. Loved reading this from beginning to end, it’s fan yourself steamy 😊 and James is so patient and just the most love-able man and fierce, protective bear ever. Very well written! A Fun Read. Vivian’s books always include a touch of humor and this new shifter world is no exception. James amd Kaylee are a friends to lovers story with Grandpa Giles supplying the urgency to speed fate along. I look forward to reading the next enemies to lovers story in the series.

Great summer read!. I enjoyed this first book of the series featuring James and Kaylee. I liked the chemistry between the couple and with the rest of the supporting characters, especially Grandpa Giles (what a cagey guy). It was easy reading and look forward to the Alex and Cooper’s search for their mates, which may not be as far away as they think.

The Bear’s Chosen Mate. Humor and sex are the strengths of this book and the female protagonists are interesting. However, there are several typos throughout, and I dislike perpetuating the idea that grandparents get a say in their grandchildrens’ choice to partner, have kids, or otherwise and wish he didn’t get to be smug in the end. I didn’t really get James’ mom scolding him for behaving like an elephant. They’re most commonly known for their gentleness and intellect, and in many cultures symbolize strength and wisdom. There’s also a couple moments of questionable consent when Kaylee clearly tells James he needs to stop, but he grinds into her anyway. It’s also unclear if all humans know about shifters or just Amber, which would drastically change the feel of James’ auditorium speech about his “mate” and all the careless shifting and whatnot. In general a little more world building would go a long way. I was actually disappointed Kaylee took the wind out of James’ character development by instantly reversing his decision to resign.

Loved It. I loved this book. The characters were fun to read about. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Blown away. Who knew Polar Bears could be so HOT. Not only are these shifters are hot but there are secrets, tension and a good fight or two. The perfect recipe for a good book. Vivian has done it again, I couldn’t put it down

The Bear’s chosen mate. Another entertaining story by Vivian Arend. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop, had to keep going until I reached the end. Can’t wait to read the next story.

Fun, pasionate, shifters!. I’m always keen to read anything by Vivian Arend, so a brand-new shifter series was definitely well received. The Bear’s Chosen Mate is the first book of a trilogy about the Borealis brothers who have been presented with an ultimatum by their cagey, adorable and meddling grandfather, as it seems that Giles is anxious for some great-grandbabies! While the storyline about interfering families and forcing one’s hand to ensure mating and the continuation of the species isn’t exactly new; Ms Arend puts a nice twist on the plot with the introduction of a mysterious “Mating Fever” that’s exclusive to bears. This is also a friends to lovers story and highlights the insecurities inflicted by careless parenting and the effect it has on a beautiful and caring soul. With some mystery and intrigue thrown in around the family business, Borealis Gems and their fierce competitor Midnight Inc. and an unusual delivery to Kaylee’s parent’s house; The Bear’s Chosen Mate is definitely and exciting platform to the next in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed Jason and Kaylee's story, as they are just the perfect couple, but you have to love a sexy and hilarious ending too, and this one leaves me anxious to see what happens next. Watch out Alex, the “Mating Fever” is coming for you!

The Bears Chosen Mate. This book was a much lighter read than the other books I’ve read by this author. I wouldn’t say I was disappointed, it was just a different as I haven’t read any of her shifter stories before. It was fun, sexy and fast moving. Definitely worth a read. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

Friends to lovers/mates. One of my favourite tropes is the friend to lover, and The bears chosen mate didn’t disappoint. James and his brothers have been served an ultimatum by their interfering but loving grandfather stop trying to avoid finding a mate or he will sell out the family company to the competition. James the youngest brother decides his mate is his best friend Kaylee, but first he has to convince Kaylee to give him a chance. Cute, funny and fun I enjoyed reading their story and look forward to reading the next two books in the series.

Told from several third person perspectives including James and Kaylee THE BEAR’S CHOSEN MATE follows the friends to lovers relationship between polar bear shifter James Borealis, and feline shifter Kaylee Banks. Patriarch Giles Borealis is hoping to hand over the reigns of Borealis Gems to his three grandsons but in an effort to help things along, Giles blackmails his heirs into finding mates, or lose control of Borealis Gems. James, Cooper and Alex have no intention of tying themselves down with one woman but the mating fever is about to take control. When the mating fever hits, James only wants one woman, his best friend, Kaylee Banks. What ensues is the mating dance between Kaylee and James, and the potential fall out as Kaylee doesn’t feel the urge to mate the same way James feels about his life-long friend. THE BEAR’S CHOSEN MATE is a quick, erotic, paranormal read; an introductory tale that hints at a possible threat to Borealis Gems. A character driven story line, THE BEAR’S CHOSEN MATE is a fun, sassy and sexy look at shifters in love. A couple of issues: I was hoping for a little more background history with regards to Kaylee and James; and the confusing addition of a shipment of ‘product ‘ from Kaylee’s parents, an addition that appears to come out of left field, without explanation or purpose-perhaps there is something in future instalments that explains this particular story line inclusion.

Loved it!. I loved the book & look forward to more books in this series:). The characters grew together & it was fun to visit this pack. Keep them coming!
