They wanted only to protect her so pushed her away and out of town to college. Instead of feeling protected, she felt abandoned and alone. This cowboy is smart. Ryder. He opens up to her. Explains his feelings and reasoning. And pleads with her to rethink her experience from a different viewpoint. Stupid brother needed shaking to wake up even though he already found love and acceptance. Backslide there. Love, love, love this family of wounded protector men turned into amazing beautiful people. I’m grateful the author didn’t push this storyline just to get it completed. It was worth the wait. Trust a Cowboys 💜. It was a wonderful family story. I really did connect with Zoey and Ryder was just as addictive. The read is gradual and really ends as you hope... both Zoey and Ryder do some personal soul searching but it really is repetitive. Yup, he has loved her for over a decade and while the back story was captivating it was not deep enough or hot enough maybe. I am happy I read it but no spark for me although I am so happy that he got his Zoeybear in the end!!

A must read!. Such a heartwarming story! I couldn’t put it down once I started reading. You can’t help but love the Stockton family and their strong bonds with each other. One by one they are each finding love and that helps them overcome their terribly abusive childhood . This story is about Ryder and Zoey and it is the perfect compliment to the Wyoming Rebel series.

A Wonderful Read!. I have read other stories but Stephanie Rowe but none from this series and I can see I have some catching up to do. This is book seven in this series but it is so well written and captivating, I had no trouble getting into the story. I became fascinated by the other supporting characters that I find myself looking to read their stories as well. The history of these two damaged people almost breaks your heart and you find yourself looking forward to the next page. As with her other books, I like her bits of quirky humour and view of family dynamics. My to be read pile just got a LOT bigger!
