Fantastic story!. A great read, just like the first book in the series, it has a great plot and it really draws you in. I found myself struggling not to just binge read the entire book all at once. The characters are great, it’s well written, and I love trying to solve the mystery along with Lacy and Chester.

Death and a Dog. I could wait for the next story. I was hooked from the start! Thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Great read/good story line.. Some wording/spelling errors though. Proofreader needs to do better.

Cozy mystery could use better editing. I enjoyed the first story in the series enough to give this one a try. While I felt like I had the murderer pegged fairly early on, it was still a decent story and I have already downloaded the next in the series. The only real complaint I have is that the editing seemed careless. There were word typos that when spell-checked became other different words and then, especially towards the last few chapters, there were sentences that were incomplete or didn’t make sense. I got through on context but I would expect better editing from a published novel I paid to read.

On to the next. Was able to guess the killer in advance in this book but still enjoyed the story. Typos were distracting...

These people seem so real!. The story was great—eventful, perplexing, and sometimes very stressful. I was worried for my new “friends “. Lol I’m so glad they got it all straightened out! ( You knew they would! — so did I!)

Get a proofreader!. Too many dumb errors that cause the reader to reread sentences.

Ugh. I made it through the first book although all the divorcee angst got a bit tiring along with the every other sentence ending with an “!” Book 2 has the exact same plot - the main character being suspected of murder - complete with stereotypical bumbling cops and suspicious small town gossips. Oh and all the “!” Bad writing, uninteresting characters. I gave up.

Cozy mystery. Setting is charming with interesting characters and plot!

Death and a Dog. Another fantastic instalment to this series. Great characters with fun plot twists make this a great book to keep in your permanent library!
