Kept me on my toes. I love Moses. Magnolia is a strong and fierce heroine. While I didn’t necessarily feel the chemistry between them, they do work well together. In true Meghan fashion, this book kept me on my toes. It’s full of twists and turns. And the ending...not what I was expecting. I can not wait to see how Moses and Magnolia’s story concludes.

This was a great enemies to lovers romantic suspense and I cannot wait to see where it goes! This is book one in the Magnolia duet and ends in a cliffhanger. Told in dual POV

FANTASTIC!!. Creole Kingpin...is FANTASTIC!! I don’t know how Meghan March does it...but each story just gets better and better. It is so awesome to find out more about Moses Gaspard. He seemed like just a bad guy when he was after Legend. However there is more to him than meets the eye. Moses and Magnolia met 15 years ago ..he left for business and never came back. Now he’s back with a plan to get her back. Will it work? Pick up this book and devour it like I did. This is one of the best books I have read so far this year. I can’t wait for the second book in the series.

Mags and Moby. 4 stars for - Creole Kingpin - book one in the Magnolia Duet by Meghan March. Fans of this author will recognize many people in this story as this could be considered a spin-off from the Mount Trilogy which has been around for quite some time and I hope you had a chance to fall in love with them like me. If not you can rest assured this can be read as a complete standalone. Magnolia Marie Maison is finally living the life she wants when the man she never thought she'd see again walks into her life after fifteen long lonely years. Being the women that she is, the mere sight of him enrages her. She wants to know exactly whom does he think he is coming back now after all this time! Moses Buford Gaspard fell for a beautiful woman fifteen years ago and vowed he would come back to her. He has made many mistakes but he is back to claim the woman that is his in every way. He truly hopes that she won't kill him when she sees his face and that this slow burn between them promises to be one heck of an explosion yet to come. Ok I freely admit I did NOT intend to like this book as much as I did solely based on the two main characters but I am so glad I gave them a chance as Meghan proved once again why her anti-hero romances are some of my very favorite in her vast catalog of sexy men! Can't wait for Madam Temptress next!

Amazing book. Another fabulous book by Meghan March. Creole Kingpin is now my favorite book by Meghan. Awesome read. We got to read about Magnolia Maison in The Mount trilogy. I’ve so wanted her book and she is awesome!! She is one bad@ss woman. I’ve got a woman crush on her. Love that she didn’t hold anything back. Magnolia didn’t have an easy life growing up. But she did what she had to do and build herself an empire. But now after 15 years a man from her past has come back to claim her. Moses Gaspard has come back to claim his woman. He knows he has his work cut out for him, but he is not leaving without her. Moses is yummy!!! He is the perfect anti-hero. The hotness level of Magnolia and Moses is through the roof. Holy Hotness!! Love the storyline and the suspense. And that cliffhanger... Need the next book NOW!! My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ STARS!

Ms March has done it again!. L O V E L O V E L O V E SOOOO MUCH! 2nd Chance Romance. Suspense. Alpha man! Possessive in a good way! That’s how I’d explain this book! I cannot wait for conclusion! This duet completes April 14!!! Love M March! Highly. Highly recommend!

Love a great anti-heroine!. I swear I say this for every Meghan March book but DANG! How the heck did she do it?!?!?! If you have read the Mount Trilogy you will have read a good bit about Magnolia, the heroine of this book. In my opinion, she was not my favorite character and I had some resentment. My opinion is now officially changed!!! She is a Bad A** heroine who takes no prisoners yet has a heart of gold! She is amazing! Moses, whom we met in the Legend Trilogy, well he was portrayed as someone who is completely unredeminalle but boy did Meghan change that! He is so swoon-worthy and the cliff-hanger here leaves me dying for more!!!!!!!

Kudos to Creole Kingpin!. I was intrigued from the beginning of this book when we start with Magnolia’s day, then jumped right into the action. Meghan March made me feel like I was in New Orleans, and I loved that Magnolia partook of the traditions of the city. Magnolia was an amazing heroine - she was a strong, independent, fierce woman who relies only on herself. But a man from her past who left her and the city is coming back for her, Moses. At first, we don’t know much about him, but he also intrigued me especially as his layers were peeled back little by little. I did believe he was only there to get her back but obstacles were almost immediately in their path. A mystery starts to unravel, and I was curious where it would lead. It lead to Magnolia finally believing him! Magnolia was stubborn and didn’t want to let Moses explain or let him back in. When she finally believed him and left herself be free with him, it was beautiful to read. Moses made me swoon and was a perfect equal partner to her. But what happens when a truth Moses wasn’t ready to tell yet is forced out? A wicked cliffhanger is what happens, and I can’t wait to read the conclusion to Moses and Magnolia’s story! Kudos to Meghan March for writing another fierce heroine, swoon-worthy anti-hero and story that captivated me from the first chapter! *I received an advanced copy of this ebook for my honest review.*

Loved!. First, I’m not one to gush over covers but I absolutely adore this cover, it’s gorgeous! Second, we have been waiting for Magnolia’s story forever! Meghan doesn’t disappoint, this book is everything you’d expect from Magnolia and then some. As ever, she is he queen of cliffhangers and I cannot wait for the next book!

Loved!. I was completely prepared not to like Moses. When he appeared in the Legend Trilogy he wasn’t the best person. But everyone has their own story and Meghan sure does know how to tell a story! Magnolia is strong and doesn’t take crap from anyone. Her and Moses are perfect for each other. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!!

Magnolia & Moses!! 😍😍. This is the book we’ve waited for, the story on Miss Magnolia Maison, bad-**s extraordinaire, Queen of her world. She’s making some changes, but then is completely thrown for a loop when her past comes back to see her in the form of Moses Gaspard. Not only that, but he wants her back. As if dealing with that isn’t mind blowing enough, she also has someone after her, someone with bad intentions and evil plans. All of this makes for a riveting, edge-of-your-seat, can’t-put-down book that you come to expect from Meghan March, and she doesn’t disappoint!! And I’ll be desperately counting the days down until I get Moses & Magnolia back in my hands to find out the rest of their story!!! Love them!!! 😍😍😍

Amazing!. Meghan March has done it once again! Seriously, if you haven't read one of her books what are you waiting for?! Creole Kingpin is an absolutely amazing story that kept me captivated from the first page. I love the chemistry between Magnolia and Moses and their story left me speechless. Meghan March continues to amaze me and I cannot wait to see what is next!

Read this book. I've been trying to write this review for about an hour now and have decided Magnolia left me speechless. I keep trying to come up with a way to describe how much I enjoyed this book. Smart, sassy, independent, strong and vulnerable all perfectly wrapped into one character. Moses is wonderful too but Magnolia is a Queen. Can't wait for Book 2.

Holy Moses!. The queen of cliffy’s has done it again! Omg I need the next book now...Meghan March never disappoints!!! If you love angst, drama, super hot alpha males, sexy times and strong, bad you know what heroines...this is the book for you! Loved the secondary characters that we’ve already grown to love. AMAZING as always!. I knew as I got close to end I was going to be so upset that I’d have to wait a month for the next one and I had tried to talk myself into waiting to read this until the next one came out but like all of Meghan’s books I can’t hold out. I honestly can’t wait to read the next one and see what happens with Mag and Moses.

Another epic story!. Magnolia Marie Maison might just be my favorite Meghan March heroine. She’s all gritty, determined and smart. She’s been knocked down but she won’t stay there. I adored her. Moses is also determined, smart and grit. I love them fighting for themselves, each other and the people they love. Magnolia and Moses are anti-heroes in every sense yet you can’t help want to fight for them in every facet of their lives. They are protectors and they shine. I can’t wait to see what’s next for these two. I’m waiting with bated breath.

MM has done it again. Suspense, love, twist and turns. This book has it all. It is so well written you feel like you are there. Go to your comfy spot settle in because once you start this book you will not stop until it is finish.

Meghan March can write no wrong!!. "...a former gangster-thief and a madam..." During the devastation of Hurricane Katrina begins this story of Magnolia and Moses. Magnolia is no shrinking violet! She is as tough as she is beautiful and she is determined to be ruled by no man, she is her own queen and she is fierce! Slay baby slay!! Moses has come back to NOLA to win back the woman he had to leave behind so many years ago.  He is exotic and a swoony alpha through and through. This story takes you to the Big Easy, the Cresent City and Ms. March writes it beautifully. This story is just the beginning of the second chance for Magnolia and Moses and their chemistry is hotter than the gates of Hades! The dialogue between these two characters is white-hot and swoony. This story flows seamlessly with flashbacks to the beginning of Magnolia and Moses' relationship, though brief it made a lasting impression on both of them. I loved the magic and mystical themes that surrounded Magnolia, how steeped in the culture she is.  I like that she held a healthy belief in the unknown and respected it. As always, Ms. March delivers a heck of cliffhanger at the end of the story!! I cannot wait to see how this duet ends!

I loved Moses and Magnolia!. NO SPOILERS! I honestly didn’t know what to expect with Creole Kingpin, the first installment of the Magnolia Duet, but Meghan March, as per usual, kept me guessing at every turn! The storyline was riveting, even though it wasn’t super fast-paced, and I loved the characters, especially getting to see some familiar faces again. Magnolia Maison and Moses Gaspard were quite the pair, and I thought they were perfect together. I really enjoyed the first part of their sexy and suspenseful story, and I can’t wait to read the conclusion in Madam Temptress!

LOVED IT!!!. I LOVED LOVED Creole Kingpin by Meghan! Magnolia’s character piqued my interest when I would catch glimpses of her in other books. Meghan did not disappoint! What happens when your soul mate comes back after years and years away? Moses definitely has his work more than cut out for him, but is everything as it seems? I love Magnolia and Moses’ characters and I could not put the book down! It is full of twists and turns that I never expected and it kept me flipping the pages. This is a must read and I cannot wait to see what is next and I need some more words of wisdom from ho-it-all!

Loved it! Devoured this story!. Creole Kingpin by Meghan March takes us back to New Orleans and Magnolia Maison and wait for it, Moses Gaspard! This story took me by surprise and I just devoured it! There is history between Moses and Magnolia and one not easily put aside. Magnolia does not want Moses, right? But Moses is one determined man! I cannot begin to describe the chemistry between Magnolia and Moses. Just as he is determined to win her back, Magnolia is determined to keep him out of her life. Fifteen years is just too long in her mind. Magnolia has a new life. One she worked very hard to achieve. But Moses is resolute on what he wants. These two have not had an easy life and their story will tug at your heart. And that ending, that ending blew me away! I cannot wait to get my hands on the second book. This is a must-read. Meghan March gave us an unforgettable story and we are only halfway there! Happy reading!

Whoa!. OMG. I don’t know what else to say. First of all, can I please have some of Magnolia’s spirit? I love her sass and fire. And then Moses. *fans self* there is just something about this sweet talking guy. Logically I know he’s a bad guy, but I have a feeling there is a lot more to the story, his story, then what we have been told and I can’t wait to see where book 2 takes us.

Love me some Magnolia!!. Creole Kingpin is book 1 in the Magnolia Duet. I knew I was going to love Magnolia when I first met her in the Mount Trilogy. She was hard nosed and ruthless, but you knew there was more to her story. Here we’re getting the more and seeing the vulnerability that she works so hard to hide. When the one man from her past comes back, her carefully constructed walls start to come down, and oh my goodness, will the bomb that looks to be dropping at the end of this book cause those walls to come up thicker than before? I couldn’t put this book down. It had all the suspense, angst, passion and twists and turns you know are coming from a Meghan March book. I need Madam Temptress now!!

So Many Secrets!. It’s been fifteen years... Moses promised he would return... left me wondering...wanting him. Suddenly he returns with no reason or answer to where he has been and why now? So many secrets....I’m Magnolia Marie Mason and I’m strong independent woman, who takes no crap from no one, even tho I find myself falling for Moses Gaspard once again.

Mags and Moby singing their love song?. Dangit Meghan March, why did you have to do that to me? You sucked me in to this story, chewed me up and spit me out. Now I'm hoping you can put me back together again. This 15 year long love story is just waiting to be a current day love song. Will Mags and Moby be able to sing their final chorus of love? Only time will tell.

Holy hotness!!. Creole Kingpin is book one in the Magnolia Duet. Meghan’s writing had me instantly hooked!! I love that Magnolia is such a strong lead character. She doesn’t take any crap and stands up for herself. Moses is a piece of her past. He is very determined to get Magnolia back. Their history is still unfolding and I absolutely cannot wait to find out what happens next in Madam Temptress!!

Love.. Creole Kingpin Meghan March One of her best books in awhile !! Who am I kidding. Lol. I have loved everything from her !! But I got your attention so my job here is done! Moses and Magnolia were phenomenal! I knew from the beginning that Magnolias story was going to be action packed and have me on edge !! Loving this anti hero/heroine. 4.5 stars I wasn’t too sure how I was going to feel about this book considering how I felt about Magnolia and Moses from reading them in previous books. But Meghan did a great job bringing a fierce and strong heroine in Magnolia that you couldn’t help but really like her! And y’all, I swooned over Moses! I love him! 🥰 How in the hell?! Back to the Bayou. I was so happy to be back in the bayou. The world that this author has created in the city of New Orleans is one I will NEVER tire of! I dare say that Magnolia is one of the strongest heroines that Meghan has ever created and that is some very esteemed company. Don’t get be wrong, Moses as the hero is great too (and I was SERIOUSLY worried about his lack of having any redemptive qualities after his villainous role in the the Legend trilogy), but Magnolia steals the show! This book draws you in from page one and doesn’t let go (even after the book is over)! I can’t wait to read the conclusion of the story!!

Things are Heating Up!. 4.5* Been hoping to get Magnolia's backstory and here it is! Fifteen years is a long time to pine for someone who up and left. It's just as long for the person who did the leaving. Moses is back to claim his woman. So HOT!

Creole Kingpin indeed. If you are looking to escape ( like me) lemme just say Creole Kingpin does just that, allows you to completely escape. I’m so excited to be back in NOLA and even more excited to be getting Magnolia’s story. She was such a power house in Mount’s book and I’m thrilled to read that she is still such a BAMF. And Mose.... dear lort. He is.... yep. Just yep. And the cliffhanger is in true Meghan March style. You think you’d be bored by the cliffhangers but March has a special talent for making them so good you’d sell your soul to get the next book and to see how everything plays out. And honestly if I knew selling my soul would work I’d do it for book two ASAP.

Back in the City. Lawdy Lawdy! Back in the Creole heartland and things are definitely mighty fine. Magnolia has been a mystery throughout this entire series of books. You wanted to root for her, you wanted to hate her, you wanted her as a best friend but you were scared to turn your back on her. Moses Gaspard was definitely a villain personified. He ruined the lives of several of our favorite characters and seemed unredeemable in my eyes. Low and behold, he is an anti hero….And desperately in love with Magnolia. Has been for years, just trying to be good enough to return and love her for eternity. This is another fabulous story, going back to the sinful city of New Orleans and we get to re-engage with some familiar faces. Absolutely can’t wait for the second story!!!!!!!

A Definite 5 Star. I did not think I would like this book as much as I did. Wow. Can’t wait for the conclusion.

Fabulous. Another fabulous book! I really love this author and this is another great story. Moses was totally different to how I thought he would be, I thought he would be really hard but actually he's a big softie. Don't get me wrong you wouldn't want to cross him but for Magnolia you could feel how much he adores her. Magnolia is one tough cookie, she's had some terrible things happen to her in her past but incredibly strong to be able to live the life she leads. She doesn't roll over easily for anyone and I loved how she made Moses work for her attention. She needs a strong determined man to be able to stand beside her. Electrifying chemistry, lots of heat and spark. Loved how the story unfolded and glad I waited to read this until the second part was published as I hate to wait when I've loved a book this much. Am diving straight into Madam Temptress.

Magnolia is an amazing woman!!. I was so excited to read Magnolias story. She is one incredible female. Can I be her please??? Brilliant story far and I’m waiting on the edge of my seat to see how this story ends. Plus I love the covers of these books.

The Queen of suspense does it again!. So right now all I have to say is damn!!!!!!! That ending!!! I so did not see what happened coming! Going into this book I knew that I would be left hanging in suspense as Meghan is the QUEEN of leaving her readers in suspense! But damn!!! Seriously this book! I know I say this every time I read one of Meghan’s books but I can’t help it. They just keep getting better and better. Hands down her BEST BOOK EVER!! And I love ALL of her books! This story is EVERYTHING!! Oh my goodness, after being one of those characters that you can’t help but dislike in other books, I freaking LOVED Magnolia!! I mean full out, fell in love with her. She is without a doubt the baddest, best heroine that Meghan has written to date. As for Moses, holy wow!!! That man! He’s definitely going to give Mount a run for his money that’s for sure! Loved it!. I’ve loved every Meghan March book I’ve ever read! That’s why I was ready to download it at midnight! But I did have reservations about Magnolia and Moses, hard to buy into characters that have been villains in other storylines! Buts that’s the beauty of the anti-hero and the stories March creates with them at the centre. She makes you fall in love with them! Can’t wait for the second part!

This book I could not put it down!. I was speechless and had a book hangover for days after reading. Feisty, independent Heroine! Check! Growly, determined Alpha Hero!! Double Check!! Unbelievably incredible second chance love story!!! Triple Check!!! Mag’s is feisty, independent and fiery AF but I always hoped deep down she would have the same hopes and dreams as other women. I love her strength, determination and drive to do whatever is necessary for herself and her girls to keep them safe and healthy. Although it is nice to see a softer, more vulnerable side to the sassy Magnolia Maria Maison. Moses I thought he would be a alpha you would love to hate, but he has wormed his way in and you can’t help but fall. He is growly, strong and determined AF and it is lovely to see Mags keeping him a little off balance and on his toes to keep her in line. So far I am loving this story and cannot wait for what will no doubt be an epic finale to this incredible duet.

I love Magnolia and Moses. I loved Magnolia and Moses’s story. Another great couple to add to the MM list. Magnolia a little spitfire, No man owns me, No man controls me. People know of her. Her reputation precedes her wherever she goes. I love it when a man swoon over a woman and Moses does a lot. The face of a siren, The body of a goddess, Chess skills of a master. The whole damn package. Moses is back for her but he’s going to have a fight on his hand because she wants nothing to do with him. The cliffhanger, well.

Holy smokes!. Holy smokes! We are in for another ride with this duet. I love it when characters from other books come to life and get their own story and what a read it’s been with Creole Kingpin. What a combination with Magnolia, tough as nails former madam and badass Moses. There’s this constant push and pull between the 2 of them and just when you think things are heading in the right direction you get a slap in the face with a cliffhanger than leaves you asking what the??? Can’t wait for Madame Temptress and see how it all unfolds.

Kingpin and Queen. Loved this book which smoulders with the chemistry between Magnolia and Moses. There is enough intrigue lying underneath to give the story an edge. Love love love.

Creole Kingpin. As the story starts we are back to Mount and everything we brought with us from his stories. Magnolia is a great second but the story drags alot where she is concerned. As we go back to pick up her story Moses reappears. His mystery is what carries the book to a degree. While Magnolia definitely has a story to tell...her history with Moses could have been one chapter instead of like 6. It was underwhelming compared to the fierceness of these two characters. Now as the story gets to the end and Mount comes back as part of the unsolved murders around Magnolia the story takes off. So worth the commitment to get to the end...where Moses is hiding a secret that Mount implores him to tell. That is how we end on the cliff...The sex not really as explosive as it should be given the characters and how they are described. Only near the end does she finally give in to Moses. So now onto the next book because it is a great suspense story as it is now, lets hope it raises to the next level like it should and shoot like fireworks!! Just like Meghan is known for...

Amazing. This book hit me in the heart. Magnolia is a true badass, and yet so lovable. I loved being inside her head and going through her struggles with her. Moses complements her and is exactly what she needs. Can’t wait to find out the rest of their story in Madame Temptress :)
