Carly the small town detective. This book had me on my toes. Crime lurking around every corner. Loved it!!!! June hurry up and get here

Can’t put it down!. I don’t know how Denise does it with all the detailed puzzle pieces to creat such an amazing mystery! Carly works in Drum, TN at a bar and came on in the agreement of being temporary help until Lula the previous waitress returns. Time goes by and Carly is comfortable with her every day tasks including work then Lula walks in one night and everything becomes complicated and everything is is now in the balance with all the trouble. This all goes on at the same time that her and Wyatt’s relationship is up in the air. Carly is much stronger than I am, I would have ran away fast but she stays and fights. So much mystery and twists it kept me at the edge of my seat of what would happen next. The characters are great, especially Hank with his feisty yet protective attitude. This was so enjoyable and addictive that I was getting irritated at any interruption I had where I had to put this book down. If you like a good mystery then this is the book for you. Definite page turner and I am anxious for the next book to come out of Carly’s life.

Explosive!!. This is the second installment in the Carly Moore series and Denise Grover Swank knocked it out of the park!! 👏🏼👏🏼 This book deserves 10 stars!! Seriously!! Do yourself a favor and pick this book up!! Carly’s character has certainly developed throughout the time that we have known her. I’m loving who she is becoming and finally embracing who she has been hiding all this time. She certainly grew a backbone in this book. (You go girl!!!) My emotions were all over this book from sad tears, to happy tears for Carly. I have come to love Hank in this book. He’s such a big teddy bear when it comes to Carly. I also enjoyed watching her friendship develop with a certain handsome deputy too. I cannot wait to see what happens next in, “One Foot in the Grave”. If you think this book was explosive wait for the next one. It’s going to be EPIC!! If you love reading mystery books, and be totally engrossed to each single word in the book, then pick this book up. Trust me, you will avoid everyone in your home till you finish the book and even then. I’m still reeling from everything that happened.

Wow! Carly is braver than I ever imagined!. Denise hit this one out of the park - AGAIN! I was suspicious of EVERYONE and got to a point where I just couldn’t and honestly did not put this book down until the end. I suspected everyone and did not see the twists and turns that Denise threw in! It was perfect and Carly is my new favorite!

We need more Carly stat!. And Carly is back! I have to say I went blind for this one, I didn't read the blurb before starting it out. I knew Lula was back from some teasers but I could have never guessed what happened. You CAN'T read this one as a standalone, because we start a few weeks after book 1, Carly is still working for Max, she is still seeing Wyatt (who stole my heart in the first book), but she has some reserves about him, he hasn't shared anything about himself and Carly is fit to be tied about it. Remember, secrets ARE the currency at Drum and oh boy! They surely come pricy in this one. Lula is back and Carly is sure to have lost her job, but she only had to share it for one day, as Lula has gone missing and Carly is certain that it wasn't her choice this time around. She teams up with Marco, Max's deputy friend who saved her and Wyatt and took a bullet in the line of duty and is on medical leave because of it, to find Lula and they pick up some revelations along the way that certainly are going to stir up things a lot. I loved seeing their friendship grow and their adventure is a must-read. It was hard for me to write this because I'm seething people, I feel real hatred towards someone. I thought Carly was overreacting but after everything that happens in this book, I'm so ready to see her burn everything to the ground. I'm right along with her, Drum needs a new... perspective. If secrets are the currency I'm sure with her connections she is starting to become very rich.

Denise Grover Swank did it again!. I fell in love with Carley Moore when she debuted in the Rose Gardner series and was very excited when she received her own spin off series. I read the first book in the series in less than a day and couldn’t wait for this one. I began reading within minutes of its release and Ms. Swank did not disappoint! Just as she did in previous series, she tells Carley’s story so well that you imagine you’re right there in Drum, NC watching it unfold! I’m anxiously waiting for book three!

AMAZING!!!. I was completely SHOCKED at how this book came to an end! Loved everything about it! At first I wasn’t so sure about some of the early developments but as always Denise turns it the way you never knew you needed! Just really an amazing book and series!

Fantastic Book. What a page turner! Carly, the main character, is a fierce, strong, amazing women. Her life was great until she found out two of the most important people in her life betrayed her. This betrayal has sent her on a journey, that landed her in the small town of Drum. While trying to fly under the radar, she finds herself in some tough situations. Carly has to determine who she can trust while trying to solve a mystery. I was constantly trying to guess who was guilty and who was trustworthy. I was trying to solve the mystery right along side Carly. The writing was wonderful, great characters with deep backgrounds and a true mystery that I was unable to guess! This book was just as amazing as the first in the series, I highly recommend it!

Oh Carly!. This book took so many turns that I never saw coming. I love this new series. I’m still holding strong for team Wyatt💕 I can’t wait to see more Carly books. Denise is a wonderful writer!

Another gem. I love how brave Carly is and how these books really draw me into her world. A great balance of romance, friendship, excitement, and mystery!

Love Carly’s series almost as much as I have enjoyed the Rose series. Began this series after I finished Rose’s series. Love that Carly is getting her own story line. The characters in all Denise’s books really come to life and you catch yourself getting lost in their world. Can’t wait to read more about the drama in Drum!

Moving. Moving in all directions, leaving me unsure who the bad guys are. It’s pace was awesome and I couldn’t sleep because I wanted to keep reading. Good night everyone!

Second in the series knocks it outta the park!!. Wow! What a page-turner! This second book in the series was just awesome! I loved how it picked up where the first one left off, and the story just kept me on my toes wanting to figure out what was going on with Lula, her best friend, and the others. I did not see the ending coming and was surprised who all was involved! A couple of new elderly characters were introduced and I loved them! I hope they return in the next book. Carly and her story just gets better and better! If you haven’t read the first one in this series, then get it (A Cry in the Dark) and read it before you start this one. Both will have you reading nonstop until the end! You’ll love this series! Buy it now!

Amazing, screaming for more!. This book was...everything. I loved how much Carly grew into her true self in this book. No longer a pushover, she starts to stand up for herself and she becomes fiercely protective of her new friends. The suspense and mystery were gripping. So many questions and so little answers. Tension builds between her and Wyatt as she questions the basis of their relationship. Hottie Deputy Sheriff Marco Roland shakes things up a little and is quite the charmer. Will he be some competition for Wyatt? Who knows. But I think it will be fun to see that play out. This book flowed smoothly even with all the twists and turns. It’s full of emotion as Carly tries to find her place in her new life while struggling with the decision to stay or move on. I’m so anxious for the next book to see how this whole thing is going to go down.

Carly isn’t a pushover anymore. Carly is a woman on the run and with lots of secrets. Carly has told Wyatt her deepest darkest secrets, but when Wyatt doesn’t spill his causes issues between the two. When a former waitress returns to town and hoping to get her job back, secrets of the towns people start coming out and people start disappearing. Carly and Marco a local deputy set out to find the missing people and unearth secrets. Relationships will be formed and some relationships will be dissolved and some may be dancing with the devil himself. This book was absolutely fabulous and well thought out. Face paced and kept you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Freaking awesome!. Great book! Action moves along at a steady rate and the conclusion leaves you wanting more.

Amazing second book!. A small town, with big drama! Her Scream in the Silence brings us back to Drum, Tennessee, where the mysterious Lula has unexpectedly returned to town with a secret or two of her own. When people start disappearing again, Carly teams up with Marco to begin their own missing persons investigation. The only problem is that residents of Drum like to keep the past in the past, and will go to extreme lengths to keep their secrets hidden. This book had me second guessing everything the entire time, and just when I thought I had it figured out, Denise would throw in another twist. The ending of this awesome mystery is all consuming, and has me dying for One Foot in the Grave this June!

AMAZING!. Denise has done it again! The Carly series has drawn me in from the beginning. There were so many ups and downs in this book and I’m really enjoying getting to know the people of Drum. I can’t wait to see what is next for Carly. If you enjoy the Rose Gardner series, you have to check out the Carly Moore series!

Carly is amazing!!. Denise outdid herself with this one! Carly is a feisty heroine who refuses to back down in the face of adversity. Add in a cast of intriguing characters that are unpredictable and fascinating and you have a fantastic read. 'Her Scream in the Silence' is a gripping mystery that I could not put down. Carly learned quickly that life in Drum is definitely not dull. When the beloved Lula returns after her latest disappearing act, Carly's initial worry is that she may be out of a job. Soon, that uncertainty is set aside because Lula goes missing again and Carly suspects foul play. The only person willing to help her is off-duty Sheriff Deputy Marco Roland. The suspects are many and when another woman goes missing, Carly is even more determined to solve the mystery. I can't wait until June when we get the next installment in Carly's story!

Continuing Suspense. I loved it! The first book of this series was so good but this one topped it. I couldn’t put this one down! This was even more suspenseful then the first but I loved how we knew so much about these characters and the family feel they have now. Plus Carly is just such a sweet person and seeing her become the woman she’s always wanted to be has really made this such a wonderful story to read.

Amazing !!!. I love Carly !!! This second book in this series is just amazing !!! Getting to know the characters more and seeing different sides to them, being introduced to new ones as well and watching Carly grow is great. This story has so many twists and turns that you won’t want to put it down !!! Can’t wait for more from carly and the rest of the drum residents !!

What a story. This is the second installment from the Carly Moore series, WOW has she grown into an independent woman. In this book we see her friendship develop with Marco and friendships tested with her sleuthing skills (some people would calling it poking your nose into things). Either way she is not happy with the disappearing act of Lula as it just doesn't seem right! I love how this book has the main thread of the storyline and lots of little ones interweaving around it, picking up from the last book and setting threads for the next one although not too much that you couldn't pick this up as a first read, it just makes you want to go back to the first and start again :) looking forward to the third book to see what happens in the little town of Drum
