The Wheatons are infamous among the east coast elite for their lack of impulse control, except for their daughter Clara. She’s the consummate socialite: over-achieving, well-mannered, predictable. But every Wheaton has their weakness. When Clara’s childhood crush invites her to move cross-country, the offer is too tempting to resist. Unfortunately, it’s also too good to be true.

After a bait-and-switch, Clara finds herself sharing a lease with a charming stranger. Josh might be a bit too perceptive—not to mention handsome—for comfort, but there’s a good chance he and Clara could have survived sharing a summer sublet if she hadn’t looked him up on the Internet...

Once she learns how Josh has made a name for himself, Clara realizes living with him might make her the Wheaton’s most scandalous story yet. His professional prowess inspires her to take tackling the stigma against female desire into her own hands. They may not agree on much, but Josh and Clara both believe women deserve better sex. What they decide to do about it will change both of their lives, and if they’re lucky, they’ll help everyone else get lucky too.

I’ll take 2. I’m inquiring on how I obtain my own personal Josh? Do I have to order him or ...? But seriously, a great feel good book that had my blushing & laughing the whole way.

Love it. I loved this so much!

Loved this. I’m at an age where the teen and college age characters aren’t a much of a draw anymore. I loved this comedic romance that opens a new perspective on certain lines of work

Exciting. This book kept me on my toes! I definitely couldn’t stop reading. I have been trying to get myself to read again and The Roommate helped give me the motivation to do so! Highly recommend.

Smart. Absolutely fabulous and so dang smart. Romance is crushing the patriarchy one story at a time.

Great Book. I love this book it is awesome 🤩 awesome 👏 awesome 😎

A New Perspective. As a 26 year-old avid reader of spicy books, I found this title to be both surprisingly sexy and brainy. Most books in this genre tend to lack plot, and overflow with sexual innuendo. Where as, this one has a pleasant balance, even with one of its sole focuses being that of an adult performer. It amped up the anticipation to make the metaphorical and physical climax of the story really pack a punch. This was an excellent read!

The Roommate Review!. I loved this book! Clara’s and Josh’s chemistry was heartwarming and romantic! I heard so many things about this book that I decided to give it a shot and read it, and let’s just say I loved it. Rosie Dana did an amazing job writing this book!!❤️ -Kierra Brice ❤️

Dont get it. Not so good

I wanted to love it but it fell short. Was it readable? Yes. Steamy? Absolutely, but something lacked in the overall writing. I liked the characters but the plot wasn’t as developed as I wanted and the ending felt anticlimactic. Again, totally readable, but not worthy of 5 stars.

Save your money!. I don’t normally leave reviews, especially bad ones, but this was a chore to get even halfway through, I kept hoping for the main character to become even slightly more like able or relatable, but she stayed pretty consistently horrible. The blushing socialite that’s perfectly slender and lovely and mentions her family name every other sentence, I couldn’t roll my eyes hard enough. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good ol sappy romance, but it’s like she threw every cliche at this thing, slapped a pink cover on it and called it a day. And the biggest affront, it’s TEN freaking dollars! I’ve read better quality free books.

Steamy and angsty. Love love love!! The sexual tension is so real and killed this book in one day. Consensual sex is sexy and Rosie did a great job and making it sexy

Amazing.. Just read it.

Definitely worth a read!. This is definitely a sex positive book which I think is nice. The chemistry between Josh and Clara is great. Sometimes Clara can be annoying but she definitely grew on me. The spicy scenes are written great a lot of teasing except for when they finally do the do that was a little underwhelming and the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars.

Just so bad. Don’t waste your time

Funny and swoony. The Roommate by Rosie Danan deserves all the hype. It's one of my favorite romances I've read this year. It's funny, swoony, and extremely sex-positive. It doesn't villainize sex-workers. Clara Wheaton, East Coast trust fund baby from a conservative family, moves to LA, after an invitation from her long time friend and childhood crush, Everrett. She hopes they finally can take their relationship to the next level. Once she arrives in LA, Clara finds out that Everett doesn't plan to stick around in the City of Angels, and she ends up sharing a house with Josh, who is subletting a room from Everett, and who happens to be a famous adult performer (a.k.a a porn star). Sparks fly between Clara and Josh, but they are total opposites. Josh is sex on legs, and Clara has never experienced an orgasm with a man. Not to mention, Clara's scandal-averse family will never accept Josh, and Clara is not planning to disappoint her mother or embarrass her family name. I loved this book, and I adored Clara and Josh together. Also, it was interesting to learn about the adult entertainment industry, with its problems, and the stigma attached to it. I highly recommend this book, especially to those who love opposites attract trope and fans of The Kiss Quotient. *ARC provided by the puplisher via Edelweiss.

Good Book. This is such a cute book and I really liked the characters!!

Loved it. quick fun read with enjoyable characters

cute rom-com. i did enjoy reading this book! i love the sex positivity, the banter between clara & josh, their sexual tensssssion. however i wish there would have been more detail & descriptions in like 70% of the scenes. i felt like i didn’t even know what clara looked like for a quarter of the book. i did enjoy naomis character and it intrigues me to read the next book in the series.

Too good. I couldnt put my phone down. I read in the car, bathrooms, our dinner table and restaurants. It was so good I’m buying the next book

Not my cup of tea.. I wish the sample would’ve included the fact that Josh was a porn star. It would’ve saved me $10 bucks. Sorry but I just couldn’t get past that.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. This book balances the spice and the plot that every adult romance reader wants to see. Reading this book gave me such a close and in depth perspective of the characters and made me fall in love!

Unexpected. Not sure where to start. I guess I’ll start by saying I downed this in one sitting and downed it because I was consumed. It wasn’t damsel in distress but a strong women figuring out what she wants with an equal for a parter. While showcasing that sex is great, normal, and has never been female focused and that has to change. I was turned on, I was anxious, surprised, happy, and my heart ached at times. Best book I’ve read in a while.

MUST READ!!!. The best love story I’ve ready to date!

Slow but good. I Liked the book but almost put it down from how slow it builds but I’m glad I kept reading it because I couldn’t put it down towards the end.

Cute, quick read. I like the way this book explores the issues that Clara and Josh faced and how they came together despite all that. The plot kept me locked in enough such that I think I read this book in 4 days. They are such a cute, nontoxic ship, and they are so soft for each other. And the sex scenes were okay. Though…this book is not a particularly complex read that challenges your inner thoughts or anything. (Note: the part where they do FINALLY have PIV sex was kinda underwhelming) And it is true that the ending felt anticlimactic. Very cutesy though. A cute chance encounter that changed their lives forever.💗

Great reas. I loved this book! Hot sex scenes, funny characters, real feelings, and so worth your time!

Best book ever.. read it in 3 days. 10/10

It wasn’t compelling enough. I found it hard to read through this book. The plot was interesting but it didn’t pull me in like I’d hoped. I loved the chemistry between Clara and Josh but something felt like it was missing.

Fun and fresh. What a fantastic debut novel! It covers a lot of great points on relatable societal and personal struggles. And still has extremely steamy scenes, as well as wholesome romance. Supremely impressive!
