You. Betrayed me. It was somewhat slow to develop

Parts were unbelievable. Good book, good plot, however accusing the person of being involved in a disappearance and possibly murder of another person when he had a concussion, was found unconscious, with blood all over the fireplace mantel, seemed odd. In no world, would the person with a head wound, found unconscious be accused of a crime. Pretty sure he didn’t throw his own head to the mantel and split it open.

So disappointed in this book.. Not a single likable or interesting character in this entire book. Depressing waste of my time and money.

Had some issues with this book.. I’ve read several books by this author and liked them, but this one irritated me on several levels. First of all, the cops had the wrong person as the suspect from the get go. Please tell me how a man who was knocked unconscious was supposed to have had something to do with his ex-girlfriend’s disappearance after she attacked him and was seen fleeing the area? The police said he wasn’t “really injured” when he sustained a traumatic head injury, loss of consciousness, amnesia, broken ribs, and and injured shoulder. What exactly is their idea of a serious injury? Lastly, the author made all the female characters appear either stupid or desperate to be with one wealthy, rich man, with a history of loving and leaving them. Pathetic.
