Iconic. Matter of fact, thought provoking, great read

Wonderfully written. Written with grace and grit. A great chronicle of Ms. Tyson’s life infused with emotion without being maudlin. A bit repetitive at times, but moves along nicely. Beautiful metaphors. The last four pages, the conclusion, is absolutely poignant and stirring.

Outstanding person, Soror, actress, costume designer, herbalist, hair culture trendsetter, fashionista, historian, model, civil rights activist in her own right, wife, mother, daughter, sister, godmother, friend, teacher, inspirational, truthful and I can go on. I laughed. I cried. My soul hurt. My soul was uplifted. I shouted. I praised our Heavenly Father. I was humbled. To live in the same years of this unique individual, I am truly in awe. This should be a must read for every person.

Wow! Ms Tyson was a powerhouse. This is a great book. A life’s story of love, pain, resilience, success and service by Cicely Tyson. She lifted herself and many others. This is a must read!

As I Am. This is one of the best books I have read because of the subject’s brilliant life. Miss Tyson’s candor about her childhood, career choices, her loves, and her family struggles do not disappoint; she is truly a legacy.

Reverse racism. Batak Obama is a traitor and a scum bag he is not an Afrikaner hero being black and pushing yourself forward as a strong black Wonsan is racist and repulsive any race lifting itself up as great race is called racism

AN INDESCRIBABLE GIFT. I am speechless, there are no words that would adequately describe how great a read this is. You will not want to stop reading. It's like your walking with her as she explores her journey. It's very personal, it feels intimate. At the same time it's packed full of history because she had such a long life. It's an honor to bare witness to the growth of a person who has fully reached self actualization. It's like sitting at the feet of a wise woman and getting both her story and the way she interprets her story; she understands herself therefore it's relatable and a great teaching book but at the same time very warm and personal like two life long friends reminiscing , or talking to your favorite auntie at the kitchen table.

Legend.. Indescribable. I’m thankful Ms. Tyson blessed us with this masterpiece! I’ve laughed and I’ve cried. Rest In Peace Ms. Tyson! You will be greatly missed! I highly recommend this book!

An Inspirational and gifted being. This book is filled with so many life lessons and experiences we can learn from. I paid for the digital book, but I am also planning to by the physical copy. It’s a must add to one’s book collection. I enjoy reading autobiographical novels and reading her story and understanding what she went through as a person was just over all inspirational. I am so glad I read this book!
