Excellent Story. I loved this book! It is full of interesting characters and an excellent plot! I absolutely loved that it incorporated the characters in a wonderful story that includes a bit about what it was like to be deaf in this era. How they cherish the deaf child and become his champion! Just a small part of a great read!!!

The Bookseller & the Earl by Callie Hutton. A delightful romance between an independent Addie, owner of Once Upon a Book in Bath & widower, Lord Grayson, a devoted father to his 4 year old son Michael! They meet when he goes to her bookstore requesting a book on sign language because his lad is deaf. The story unfolds from there with a trip to London to meet with an expert who may be able to tutor his son! Of course there are bumps along the way, a legal matter & lots of heartwarming situations which made this story a 5-star read for me. You’ll love Addie, Grayson & Michael as well as the other characters in their lives - some kind, some not so kind❣️ I just ordered Book 2 in Ms Hutton’s Misfits of Bath series! Witty and charming. Loved the introduction of learning differences and the challenges they can introduce to every day life. The challenges of the perception of lack of intelligence was well done all within a romantic story. Individuals finding themselves, second chances, overcoming adversary, and finding love. Although heavy topics, it was a witty and delightful easy read.

Outstanding!. This author is among the best I have ever had the pleasure of reading. “The Bookseller and the Earl” is a rock solid and delightful story. The main characters are extremely likable and a few are extremely horrid. I look forward to many hours of enjoyment while reading more of Callie Hutton’s books. There are quite a few to choose from, so my reading future looks bright!
