Risky Move. Sweet , nothing new, long, long read.

Hockey + Doctors + Romance = One Fantastic Book!. I simply love Robyn Ryan’s books! She’s one of the few authors that can actually make my heart feel like it’s being squeezed when I’m reading a really emotional part. That equates to great writing! Granted, I love hockey romance books, but this one has very little actual hockey in it and it was still absolutely fabulous. I was so happy that Tom got his own story. He isn’t even a hockey player. He’s a neurologist! Bonus...hockey and doctors! This actually story in this book was great. I had hoped for more on Lauren and Dave, which we did get some of in this book, as Cassie is Lauren’s niece. Cassie made an appearance in the last book “Healthy Scratch”. It’s wonderful how Robyn integrates so many characters from the past books in the series. It makes the individual stories flow so seamlessly. This storyline was kind of unique in that we get the young standpoint again from Cassie, who’s taking a gap year before college. We haven’t seen this “young” perspective since the first book when Caryn was around that age. And we also get the more settled standpoint from Tom, who already has his career well established. 5-6 years isn’t really much of an age gap, but at that point it can actually feel bigger than it is. Cassie deals with that and all the feelings of insecurity, mistrust and inadequacy that have been thrust upon her by her mother rattling around in her head. She’s looking for an escape and trying to figure out her future and falling in love all at the same time. And all the while dealing with generally feeling inadequate and then she has to deal with tremendous guilt over an accident, not wanting to cause a rift between friends or family. That’s a lot for a 20 year old to contemplate. She’s just overwhelmed at times, but actually handles it pretty darn well. Cassie’s character is so easy to love. Read the book to see how this sweet girl deals with life’s challenges. You won’t regret it! It’s a great read!

Emotional Read. Review 4.5 Stars for Risky Move This is the first book I have read by Robyn M Ryan and it certainly won’t be my last, I loved this book and even though this is book 2 in the series I had no issues following the story. What I will say is this is an extremely long book so please be prepared for that in this slow burn romance. Tom and Cassie’s life’s are intertwined and that means there should be a line that shouldn’t be crossed but we have no control over our feelings and sometimes how ever hard we try our heart will always win over our minds. If Tom and Cassie start something and it goes wrong it will effect so many others, so is their love worth a shot or will they think of others before themselves........ This is a story that will touch you on so many levels, it’s full of love, romance, friendships, family and loyalty, it’s about taking a leap of faith and trusting your heart and learning to believe in yourself. Looking forward to reading book 1 in this series as well as future Tampa Suns Hockey Novels.

Entertaining. 4 star review Risky Move (Tampa Sun Hockey) by Robyn M Ryan Robyn M Ryan is a new author to me. Although book two in the series, I had no problems following this story. This is a slow burn story that is Cassie Johnson and Dr. Tom Chadwick’s story. There were times that I felt the story dragged a little but once the pace picked up it flowed better. I was a little frustrated by Cassie’s lack of confidence and self doubt at times but overall I liked the characters. There is a lot to consider before Tom and Cassie can begin a relationship, after all their lives are intertwined and if their relationship doesn’t work out then things will be complicated on numerous levels. For me the build up was a tad to long, but that is just my opinion. I found it difficult to connect with some of the other characters but again, that is probably me. I really liked Tom, I loved how supportive he was of Cassie Although the series is Tampa Sun Hockey, there was not a lot of hockey in this book. This was a story of love, romance and overcoming ones fears and taking a leap of faith and above all learning to believe in yourself.

Slowest moving romance/ad. I gave up at the halfway point. It’s such a long book and I found so much of it to be quite pointless. The author perhaps wants us to get to know all the other characters really well so people will buy those books? Or had to meet a page number requirement. Anyway, by halfway through, it had been months and months, the main characters had only shared a few kisses, were finally in a relationship but were still taking things so slow and being super reluctant?! Pretty ridiculous! I don’t need graphic scenes but come on, give us something! There were endless scenes of her babysitting which was quite boring and it jumped forward too many days all the time with not enough romance. Oh and there’s blatant mentions throughout of Uber, Coke, Disney, Apple... It’s ridiculous, like a giant boring ad. Would not recommend. Waste of several hours.

Risky Move. Pollyanna story. Fun but unreal. Easy read with HEA.

Good but too drawn out. The book storyline was decent but it was very drawn out and a lot of the storyline went on and on about the same things. I liked it but I probably wouldn’t read it a second time or recommend it to a friend.
