Awesome. I loved this novel. It kept me reading to the end!

A good story. This is the first book I’ve read by Jackie Ashenden and I enjoyed it. This is centered around Silas and Hope. Silas, Hope, and Caleb were best friends and then Caleb and Silas left thirteen years ago. Caleb came back to visit, since his family is the town’s founder. Now Caleb is dead and Silas and two of his buddies have inherited Deep River, Alaska. He’s going to turn it over to Hope and get back to his business in Anchorage. Things don’t go as smooth as Silas would like and his departure is delayed. Silas has always loved Hope, but she wanted Caleb. Will they be able to rekindle their friendship before he leaves? No spoilers, so grab your copy and see what happens, especially when the town leaves about the oil in the ground. This book may not cover a great amount of time, but it’s a long book. I enjoyed reading about all the different characters and I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
