Rapunzel goes to the academy. The Grimm academy welcomes students with curses, and although the administration isn’t permitted to interfere directly, they try to provide students with the tools to circumvent their curses. This is the story of Rapunzel....how she goes to the academy, falls in love with Gavin (who has his own curse), and..... For the rest you have to read the book. Let down your hair…. A retelling of the Rapunzel fairy tale. Set in Grimm Academy Rapunzel is brought by her mother supposedly to avoid her prophecy think the curses from the originals. Rapunzel views this not as a prison but an opportunity to be free from the oppressive life her mother kept her in. She quickly makes friends a finds her handsome fellow. Rapunzel & Gavin. Rapunzel was sent to Grimm Academy by her mother because of her prophecy. Her mother gets her a tower room. Rapunzel does not know why her mother would want her to live in the tower since this is part of her prophecy. The whole point of going to Grimm Academy is to avoid and stop your prophecy. Rapunzel has never had friends before. She makes lots of friends. She meets a nice boy named Gavin who also has a prophecy. This was a sweet story about Rapunzel with some unexpected twists. This was a quick and pleasant read. The Grimm Academy series has many stories that I look forward to reading.

Really good. This is book 1 of Once Upon An Academy series. I love fairy tale retellings and I loved this book. As usual Laura Greenwood delivered a great book that is well written with well-developed characters. A well done retelling of Rapunzel. If you love retellings or fairy tales then I recommend reading. Modern Day Rapunzel. Rapunzel knew she had a prophecy that’s been her bedtime story all her life and so she is prepared for it. Never imagining Gavin involvement the two find themselves courting. Something new and exciting. This was the tale of Rapunzel in a way I had never looked at it before. It has all the familiar elements, but it’s blended in just such a way as to be something new and exciting. I enjoyed watching Rapunzel discover her ‘wings’ and it was really sweet to see how carefully she and Gavin negotiated getting to know one another. Now, I’m looking forward to reading more about the rest of the students at Grimm Academy I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.

Rapunzel. I really enjoyed this quick easy read, Rapunzel and Gavin made a cute couple and went out of their way to protect each other. You feel made for Rapunzel when you hear her full story.
