Best book series yet. My favorite series of all time. I could stay up all night enthralled in these books! The story is incredible and always keeps you guessing, the love story keeps you wanting more and the descriptions of scenes makes your mouth water. Iām so sad I have to wait until September for the 3rd book to come out!!ššš
Great. The only thing I am disappointed with is that I have to wait til September for the third book. š
Try it out for yourself!. Absolutely enthralling!! The storyline is captivating and really makes the reader yearn for more. The chemistry and sarcasm between the main characters is funny and enticing. The storyline does have some plotholes or moves too fast in certain parts, but everything makes sense and allows the reader to fully Hague what goes on. The ending is shocking and amazing!!!! Youāre in for a wild ride ! Loved it loved it loved it!
Just read it.. I canāt stop thinking about this book. This is your sign, read it already!
Amazing!!. Loved this book, I started it two days ago and Iām already finished. Canāt wait to start the second book!
Extremely good series.. The first book is soooo good highly recommend, Iāve lended to so many friends itās too good. But, every book henceforth is just progressive and progressive porn. I like the spicy romance but I feel like the author ended up completely forgetting about the story and plot midway through the series and just did fan fare. While the story is not bad the romance is definitely the main focus. Highly recommend if spice is what youāre looking for :D
Best book Iāve read!. Iām not much of a reader, but recently I decided to pick up this book I found at B&N, but I desperately wanted it on my phone since I hate the clutter of having actual books in my houseā¦ however I have to say this is one of the best books Iāve ever read! Iām not even joking it took me about 3-4 days to finish this book thatās how much I liked it, it really does make you itch to read more!! I couldnāt get enough of this book and I canāt wait to start the second one!
Obsessed. Slow burn romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The twists are riveting. Emilia frustrates you but simultaneously makes you root for her. And Wrathā¦just Wrath. š„µ if you loved ACOTAR, you will eat this series up.
Mediocre. Not the best story telling but decent and entertaining enough. I donāt want to pay another $11 bucks to read the next book though.
Non-Spoiler Book Review. This story was very unexpected. That 3.5 rating is not a bad rating but it is also not a great one. I loved Kerriās Stalking Jack the Ripper series, I thought they were full of life and had the most authentic characters in them. In this one, however, I found myself getting lost while reading the story because I couldnāt necessarily find the true purpose of each character. I know that for a story to develop there needs to be secrets for the reader to unfold but at the end of the book, I couldnāt help but feel unsatisfied at how the characters of this story. In this book, we follow the story of Emelia Maria di Carlo, she is a witch that lives in Italy with her family. She and her twin sister were once very close, but as they grew older, that trust became more of a frail thing. While Emilia worked in their familyās restaurant, Vittoria--Emiliaās twin sister--snuck off to do who knows what. Ignoring her grandmaās wishes for them to stay inside and practice protection spells, Vittoria still went about the night not caring for her grandmaās cautious words about how demons were roaming the earth. It wasnāt much later when Emilia found her sisterās corpse. So now Emilia, filled with sadness, grief, and anger, tries to seek vengeance for her sister promising death to her killer, little does she know that sheād need help from the wickedest of all demon princes, Wrath. Emiliaās character was more so like when you try to blow a candle but even though you keep blowing the candle wonāt go out. I completely understand that while youāre trying to deal with grief you want to focus all that energy on something productive, something that sort of makes you forget. The way Emilia dealt with her grief was trying to find her sisterās killer. And while I donāt condemn her for doing so, I believe she couldāve been smarter about it. Wrath, one of the Seven deadly princes of Hell, was a mystery to me throughout this book. Even as I read his character development in the story, I still couldnāt figure out his purpose. I never felt a connection between Emilia and Wrath at all. She was using him and he was using her. Kerri didnāt give us enough sentimentality in this book for us to fall in love with them as characters, which is why I was so confused in the end when Emilia felt like Wrath had betrayed her. The entire book felt like something was missing, the more I read, the more I kept trying to find something that wasnāt there. In the end, when I finally thought the book would climax, I didnāt feel anything at all. This is such a shame because this story had so much potential. I was waiting for Emilia to kill one of the princes, or for her to take hold of her life and make it make sense. I donāt even know how to explain it other than it was lackluster. I would probably read the next book because Iām curious to see whatās next for these two characters, but make no mistake, this is not a story about forbidden love. This isnāt the story where a witch falls in love with the most dangerous prince of Hell. In this story, you wonāt fall in love with the prince either. This story is about a witch that lost her sister and will do anything to avenge her. If you like, Jennifer Armentrout, Richelle Mead, Brigid Kemmerer, S. J. Jones, Sarah Henning, Natalie Parker, etc; then youāll enjoy this book. Fifteen-year-olds and older can read this book. And as always, I want to thank you guys for reading my post. I truly appreciate it.
So goodšš. I could not put this book downā¦ I love wrath in this book his character had so much depth. The plot and the twists and turns in this book will make it so hard to put this book down . I read this in 3 days š„ŗš„ŗš„ŗššš
Despite frustration VERY GOOD. At first, I found it to be a little difficult to get into this book despite the fantastical elements. However I still wanted to give it a chance, after the summoning of Wrath I was hooked. Love the slow burn that was so good yet agonizing. The authorās masterful use of research, setting, and creativity made me feel like I was actually in each scene. Canāt wait to read more in this series!
Wrath is everything. Just finished reading. But Ugh, Just ughhhhhhh. I wonāt spoil it but I freakinnng swear man... just.. I already pre ordered the next book. I need to know how this ends lol
Once it starts, it doesnāt stop. Although this book did have its downfalls, I still very much enjoyed what it had to offer. The plot seemed rushed towards the end, and it just AHHHHH cliffhanger. Emiliaās character wasnāt the one I truly expected to engulf in what she does, but she definitely shows more power and worthiness throughout the book. Overall great read, that has got me back into reading again. Canāt wait for October!
Had its issues but still 100% recommend. Was this book perfect? No. Did I still tear through it in two days? Absolutely. I felt like it could have been about 100 pages longer as it felt kind of rushed at the end and there were some loose ends in the plot but hopefully they will be addressed in the next book. What Kerri does so well is building that tension between Emilia and Wrath - it legit had me sweating at some points. Now Iām just mad I have to wait until the fall for the next book!!
I hate to say it but. I wanted to like this more. It seemed very flat. The descriptions were lacking and it was a little messy in its story telling.
Very much enjoyed. This book picked up very quickly and was a very enjoyable read.
Ok. Kinda good, kinda weird. Leaves you wanting more detail so you read the next one. Which I did and did not like.
so good!!. this was like the first book ive read in awhile and i came here thru tiktok and honestly it was amazing i loved the mystery elements and obviously the concept of the seven deadly sins so i would totally recommend it to people who have nothing to do and are looking for a book to read!! i finished it in like 4 days and im excited to read the rest of the series when it comes out
Kingdom of the Wicked. Freaking captivating. Amazing. Always had me holding my breath for what was going to happen next. 11/10 recommend
Amazing Read. This book was so amazing. It was dark and wonderful and everything I hoped for. One of my top books of the year! Emilia is a fabulous character. She is feisty and Brave. Wrath is dark and dangerous. I need the next book right now.
AND SO IT BEGINS. This story has all the makings to be a MUST READ epic fantasy series. Between falling in love with the characters and being pulled straight into the adventure and mystery, I was hypnotized by the mouth watering descriptions of food. Seriously didnāt realize how much Iād obsess over that. If you love Sarah J. Maas, this is going to be your next favorite series!!! Trust me and just READ IT.
Best Book E V E R !!!!. GAAAAHHHH !!!!!
Mildly Frustrating. So hereās the thing, you spend most of the time unsure of when this story takes place. The author never fully depicts any historical events or specific references that tell you in what era you should be imagining. Iām assuming maybe late 1800s or early 1900s because of the constant dress-wearing but thatās just a guess. My other problem is the lack of dialogue. You spend 85% of this book drowning in Emiliaās internal monologue and musings. More interaction with the world the author has created would not have only cleared up the whole āwhen does this take placeā issue, but would have also given us more insight into the supernatural elements and the beautiful imagery of Sicily. I loved what she did with the food elements, those were fantastic and giving our heroine a passion outside of magic is fully appreciated. The plot in its entirety was not bad, and the writing itself is fantastic. Iād say that was the best part of the book. Everything else just fell very short of expectation. Also, Emilia does not act or speak like an 18 year old and the fact that she made her so young seems targeted (most likely by the authorās publishing team). I honestly just pretended Emilia was in her mid-twenties the whole time and just ignored her age entirely. All that to say, great premise, lots of potential, but just fell flat for this specific installment. Im giving the second book a try in hopes that this story fleshes out more.
Dark and fulfilling.. (No spoilers here!) Although itās seems fast paced at times, the details the author goes into are beautifully depicted and actually one of the main reasons I kept wanting to read chapter after chapter.(Finished in 2 dayās yāall.) Itās a amazing read if youād like a story of a girl looking for retribution, diving in and trying to find her own way through a sinister and cunning world. All in all, I wished weād gotten better character arcās, but donāt fret, it is just the 1st book in the series. Canāt wait for the 2nd coming out in October!!
Loved it!. I had just finished a different book series that was so good it was difficult to find another book as good as the ones I had just finished. However, this book was so good and left me wanting more! Highly recommend š¤©
Amazing!!. I was horribly disappointed to hear that the sequel for this series hasnāt come out yet! I never wanted this book to end. Iāll be holding my breath until the next book comes out
Did not want it to end!. Love her writing and her characters, so good and can not wait for the next one.
So good. Sucked me in and I couldnāt put it down
dude YES. this book is SO good. wrath? yes please. the whole concept of this book is just *chefs kiss*

Not bad. Kept me engaged liked the story line and the intrigue.
Worth it. After reading all three books Iām very happy I kept with it. Throughout the books there are a lot of plots and theories to worth through. Which might be difficult for some to keep track of, but worth it if you do. First book is much more tame. The second and third book have a good *spice* level to them. The third book was my favourite out of the three.
Kingdom of the wicked. This book starts off so inviting, so intriguing, so very... different. Yet it plays out oh so very predictable and frustrating. No questions are answered, and believe me, the main character asks them in plenty. The world building is lacking yet the plot drags on regardless. Relentless is the pursuit for truth, yet the writing remains unyielding in expanding the main core of this world of witchcraft. Everything need not be drenched in sex and lust; some of the best stories out there highlight the struggles between good and evil without a subplot of sex and dismal reasons for attraction. Not all books of fantasy require this, and yet, here we are. This is a book of erotica hiding behind a fantastical ideology, beckoning you in with the promise of something great, yet succumbing to the same prose of lesser books. Disappointing, to say the least.
