Delight adventure when escapism is most needed. This book was a most delightful adventure, romance to read when escapism is most needed. The series is about a group of Navy seal brothers who retire to become treasure hunters in Key West. This is the 3rd book in the series and with each book you come to know the Seals and their journeys to forgiveness and love, along with researching and uncovering the lost treasure of Santa Cristina. Although you get bits and pieces of the story for each of the Seals, this book focuses on mostly Mason and Alex's love story with some of Wolfs and Chrissy's. I absolutely love the characters created in this series. My favorite part is that most make appearances in each story and you get to know them as a group and as individuals, the good, the bad and the stupid funny. There were a few times I belly laughed out loud, times I held my breath, times I ground my teeth and times I sighed as I was lost in the story. Did I mention there's also a dog and a rooster! This was a great read, one I highly recommend. Do yourself a favor and pick up the previous books, find a comfortable chair and lose yourselves in these stories.

Good book, great action. Another good book by Julie Ann Walker! I love the way she writes - fast paced and good romantic beats. While I loved the Black Knights series, it’s taken me a little longer to fall in love with the Deep Six crew. Alex was a step back for me but I’m really enjoying getting to know these new characters!

Mysterious happenings. This is the third book in this series (although there is a prequel) and I have read all three. This is a spin-off from Black Knights Inc, but it is distinctly different. The series centers around a bunch of former SEALs looking for a sunken ship (Santa Cristina). However, this story does not deal with the search very much. There are a few scenes about the ship, but it is mostly about the mystery surrounding things that happened years ago and things that happened in the previous book. Mason thinks he's not good enough for a lifetime of marriage and kids. His ex-wife basically brainwashed him into believing he is not normal. But what is normal? I mean, he served in the military and did things none of us have ever had to think about. So how can we judge him normal or not? He kept us safe and allowed us to live our lives while being shot at, attacked and away from home and family. I really dislike his ex-wife. Alex is a bookworm. She either reads about things in books or searches the internet for clues, information, instruction. She is perky, inquisitive and funny. Oh yeah, and annoying to Mason. But is she strong enough to handle him? When the bullets start to fly, we will see what she is made of and see if Mason is willing to give her a shot at a relationship. As they work to uncover who is after Mason, will they be able to figure out what they want or walk away for good?

Mason and Alex. This story was nonstop action and I loved it!! The characters and the situations really jump off the pages and resonate in the reader. Mason is a bada$$ SEAL that doesn’t see himself in the best light. He suffers from PTSD and thinks he only is a trained killer and not fit for love. Alex wants Mason but he keeps pushing her away to protect her from himself. They complemented each other very well. Where Alex is talkative, intelligent and sweet Mason is grumpy, stubborn and a lot less talkative. When enemies from Mason’s past come back to threaten him and all he holds dear will he be able to protect Alex?

Perfect book for a lazy afternoon. I was excited to read Julie Ann Walker’s latest Deep Six book. I knew she was going to write this one and it just seemed so darn long before I could read it. And Jule did not disappoint! Alexis was a small red headed ball of fire and she had set her sights on Mason. Mason who turned her down at every opportunity. His excuse was the oldest in the books, and even I’ve heard it before, they guys don’t want us to get hurt. Translates to they are afraid of feeling something towards, right girls? I love their interactions both skirting around the issues, add in lots of suspense and action with even more romance going on, it was the perfect book for a lazy afternoon.

Action packed!. Alex and Mason's story was another action packed story. Mason's past catches up to him and he realizes that he will do whatever it takes to protect Alex. The story was fast paced just like the rest of the series. I did have a little trouble with Alex. I really felt like she was a little naive and the urgency to get rid of her Vcard and everyone knowing about it made me cringe for her. I felt like when it came to Mason she had blinders on. Mason is grumbly and was a little hard for me to love, but these two, once they finally let the walls fall, were great. Another good story in the series.

A wild ride!. This book was just what I needed. A complete and utter distraction from our world today. This book was a great return to the series that I love so much. I could not put it down. Seriously, I slept 2 hours then , opened it up again. This is the story of Alex and Mason as they continue to search for treasure off of key west and we get to see Into the mind of Mason and Alex as they push and pull to be together. This romance develops while they are under attack, recovering and they finally get their hea. I cannot wait for My guess Chrissy and Wolf in the next in series... keep it up Julie!

Fantastic action!. 4.5 Stars This is book 3 in the Deep Six series and it features Mason and Alex. She’s 27 years old and her main goal at this point in her life is to lose her V card. She wants to give it to Mason. He wants her so bad but thinks he can’t be what she wants or needs.  This story is full of sexy, alpha, retired Navy SEALs, fantastic action, fun banter amongst the group and some intense introspection. The story line was awesome and the characters were people I’d love to have as friends. I can’t wait for more from this amazing author.

Five Big Stars. OMG, this book! I absolutely loved it! I’ve been waiting for the next book in the Deep Six series, and Ride the Tide did not disappoint. What could be more fun than a slightly damaged ex-Navy Seal falling for a bookish virgin? Mason and Alex’s story is full of adventure, excitement, and sexiness. Plus, there’s humor (I don’t know how many times I laughed out loud over some one-liner), romance, and sexy steaminess (it just can’t be overstated!). Five big stars for all this book goodness!

The treasure Hunter and the historian. 3.5 stars This is the third in the Deep Six series that centers around a crew of ex Navy Seals who are looking for a lost Spanish treasure that was aboard the Sainta Christina. Mason McCarthy has been changed by his service and doesn’t think he can have the normal things in life, like love, a wife kids etc.. Of course, the teams historian, Alexandra Merriweather, has other ideas. There is a huge push-pull between Alex and Mason, then throw in a threat from Mason’s past and you have an engaging story. This really isn’t really a stand-alone, you really need to read the prior two books to enjoy this one. Since there was a four year wait since the last book, I hope the author is a little quicker with the next book in this series. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley for my honest opinion.

Another great action-suspense romance!. Julie Ann Walker delivers another action-packed, romantic suspense novel in her Deep Six series. Before picking up this book I went back and re-read the others in the series, since it’s been a little while since we were treasure hunting on Wayfarer Island with the former Navy Seals crew of Deep Six. While I’d imagine it could be read as a stand-alone, Mason McCarthy and Alex Merriweather and the full cast of characters are introduced in the other books in the series. They’re just good reads, so why not check them out? There’s a lot of chemistry between Alex and Mason, as well as some angsty moments. She never stops talking and he grunts out short answers, which makes for an entertaining contrast. I’m glad we get alternating points of view so we can see what they’re both thinking. Mason has been marked by an ugly divorce and the things he’s seen and done in the Navy. In comparison, Alex has always been on an academic track and is much more innocent (including still having her virginity, that she desperately wants Mason to take). Then there’s the bad guys from Mason’s past chasing after him, with Alex getting caught in the crosshairs, and, well, you’ll have to read to find out what happens. This is a great addition to the Deep Six series and I definitely recommend this book and this author! ARC received for an honest review.
