Good Book!. After finishing “the hate U give” I had to read this book and all i can say is absolutely amazing!

Book review. This book is great. I really like the story and the way it is written so teens understand it more, as if it was speaking their language. Super great book Angie Thomas always come through with the best.

Amazing. I’ve read two other books of hers and they was so good! When I heard she was writing other I couldn’t wait:) This book was amazing and gives you a perspective of What Starr’s dad Maverick life was like and what he had to go through.I will definitely be re-reading this book and I look forward to the next book she writes!

Such a good read. I never thought about Maverick’s back story after reading the hate you give but when I found out there was a prequel I knew I had to read this and it did not disappoint.

Amazing read. I read it in a couple hours, couldn’t put it down. Angie Thomas is an amazing author.

Intriguing. I really love this book. To the point I read it all in 3 days. Has a good story & background. And living in not the best neighborhood & getting pregnant @ a young age I can relate to this book so much. Specially where I’m from it’s a lot of violence & boys who are mislead. I love Maverick the main character in this book. Really independent thinker & love that about him. Would highly recommend reading this book.
