I meant to leave Magnolia at some point in my life. With a full ride scholarship to Juilliard, my dream was to dance. But Dad got sick and I needed to stay to run the local hardware store. Plus, there's no way I can rely on my older brother, Archer, who can't outrun the ghosts of his past.
When Maggie blows into town, I can't help but feel inspired by her desire to reinvent herself and when she asks for the local handyman, it becomes the perfect opportunity to provide Archer with purpose and perhaps, a little bit of sunshine.
As our friendship grows, I realize just how much I needed a sisterhood. And when I catch Archer smiling, I realize that he needed Maggie as well. I just hope that when the time comes to sell the inn, Maggie fights to stay, because I'm not sure we could handle the heartbreak if she leaves.

It was ok…. I wasn’t a fan of the way the book was set up. The switching between the female characters every chapter bothered me. I wanted more of Maggie and Archer. And it ended too soon. There should’ve at least been an epilogue. It would make a good Hallmark movie though.
Ugh!. Stopped at page 253-couldn't take anymore!
Amazing!. Had my attention from the moment I started reading it.
Immature voice. Unclear if the main character echoes the author’s point of view, but appeared very immature, with little insight. Think both could benefit from some therapy:(.
Good Summer Read. Light reading,good characters...hit the spot during this pandemic. Made me feel good,
The Magnolia Inn. This was such a great book. The relationships that it involved were so interesting and real. I cam' wait to start Book 2 and continue thru the entire series.
