Part 1 of at least 2 (spoilers included). This feels as if it is part 1 of a 2 to 4 part story. There comes a point in the story where you realize it’s going to be a cliffhanger and how it is going to end without resolving a single plot (Spoilers below) It feels as if this may be more than the now expected 2 part ranger story as follows: Part 1: rangers find prince but get caught Part 2: old ranger finds and rescues rangers and prince ends with all on the run Part 3: prince returned but captors and king turn on rangers Part 4: rangers escape and find their way back home
oh. just oh. thought it was about to start getting good and then it was over. why does this cost as much as a full book when it’s so obviously a quarter of one that he stretch into a bare semblance of a “whole book” clear that he’s lost whatever his motivation for writing was.
