Loving this Ever After series. At the end of book one in the Ever After series, Katie drops a little bombshell that leads us to Needing Happily Ever After...she’s getting married! Imagine her family’s surprise, since they didn’t even know she was dating. And it’s to a man she’s known for years, her best friend Damon, but he doesn’t even live locally. How are these two longtime platonic pals going to pull this off? The premise of this story is a bit different, as the reason for this fake relationship is all because of a house. That’s definitely a new one for this reader. But as a fan of the faux engagement sub genre, I’m in. I liked Katie and Damon, but their newfound feelings for each other didn’t always ring true for me. It didn’t lessen my enjoyment of the book, but I was honestly more intrigued by the chemistry between Katie’s brother Logan and Faith, which I’m thinking might be the hottest book of the series! My four star rating is actually more for the wonderful writing of Elena Aitken, who’s books I always enjoy and definitely recommend to existing fan as well as new ones. Her storytelling is engaging and guarantees that I will not want to put the book down. So while every couple may not be my favorite, I’ve never been sorry I read their story.

Don’t miss this one.. The relationship between two life long friends, turns into more. Nothing about this story is easy, but in the end romance and friendship changes, the challenge is can it last, moving toward a HEA. Another special story. Don’t miss this one.

Must read!. Loved it! So good! Loved Katie and Damon’s story so much! This has been my favorite in the series so far!

Swoon worthy. I'm loving this series! This group of friends has me sucked in and I'm already counting down the days to the next one. Katie and Damon have been friends since forever and their path to becoming more was a story I really didn't want to put down. If I hadn't passed out reading, I would've finished this in one sitting. I can't wait for more of this series!

Needing Happily Ever After. What a sweet read. It’s not your typical fake fiancé story. Two best friends who love each other cannot figure out that they’re in love with each other. Katie and Damon have been inseparable since childhood. Damon wants his childhood home and a Katie wants to help him get it. Along the way, they tripped up and realized they were in love all along. My only criticism is the language so the book isn’t PG. I feel the same emphasis can be made without the use of those words. I guarantee you will love this story. It’s sweet and endearing. Another winner. In Needing Happily Ever After, we get the story of Katie and Damon. They have been best friends for years and they always have each other’s backs. When Damon needs to be engaged, to get what he wants, the first person he calls is Katie. Of course, she goes along with his plans. What is going to happen during this beautifully written story? No spoilers so grab your copy and see why Damon needed a fiancée to begin with. I loved the angst that Elena Aitken threw in. I also loved catching up with the characters we meet in the previous book, Choosing Happily Ever After. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Great Read. This book picks up directly where the first book left off, but the good thing is if you haven’t read the first book the author includes a recap as the story unfolds. We are spoilt in this book as we have one budding romance and another two starting to develop. We are introduced to more characters and I got hooked on their stories and couldn’t put this book down. You have Faith and Logan who are going to combust as their chemistry is just off the chart but are in denial, Damon and Katie who are organising a marriage of convenience and Sarah and Brody who are “just good friends!” This is Damon and Katie’s story two childhood best friends who will do anything for each other, even get married so one of them can have their greatest wish granted. But these things are never simple and they have to overcome a few obstacles and experience a whole wave of different emotions before they figure out the right thing to do. I’m not including any spoilers as I’ll let you read the story yourself, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to read the next instalment. A delightful read. A sweet story. At a family dinner Katie Langdon announces that she is going to marry Damon Banks ... soon! It is a great shock to all of them, Damon and Katie have been best friends since they started school, and although everyone thinks they are a perfect couple, made for each other, they have never thought of themselves as anything other than best friends. Plus Damon is now a very rich man, and he hasn’t been back to Glacier falls for at least three years. Damon has an ulterior motive, he doesn’t get on with his father, who is now selling the family home which Damon loves more than anywhere else in the world, and the buyer has to be at least engaged, but preferably married. Damon wants to buy it, and Katie agrees to get engaged, once he owns the property they will stage a huge row and separate. If only plans worked! The story takes them through all the twists and turns that occur as they are trying to conceal the truth, outright hostility from Katie’s brother Logan, Damon’s amazement and jealousy when he realises she has been seeing someone else, other issues that mean their marriage really has to take place. And eventually realisation that they are, indeed, perfect for each other, and must do something about it to ensure a life together. Elena has written a story with lovely, amusing episodes, with the tension building, and building until close to the end, when a few days apart make them both come to their senses. A perfect antidote for these troubled times. Well worth reading. I received an advance copy from the author, and am delighted to write an honest review. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
