Exactly what the world needed. Let’s be honest it’s rough sledding out there, but this book gave our family the gift of warmth and hope while communicating a very difficult topic in a beautiful way. The simplicity of the design mixed with the thoughtful language combined with the emotional connection to Amos, his mom And their situation provided a work of literary art that the world was in desperate need of... thank you!!!

Comfort for kids & parnets alike. RIW is outstanding in so many ways. The approach it takes to explain our current situation is light, but in no way undermines the serioussness of the matter. Amos’ mother speaks to him with patience, doesn’t candy coat or withhold anything. She gives him space and time to process it all. And then the Rainbows come! The illustartions and rhyme and verse of RIW reminds me of the books and PBS television shows I grew up with, which challenged me and even scared me a little, but in a curious, mind expanding way. They had a big impact on who I am and what I do. I’m sure RIW will do the same for the kids of this generation. It is a delightful plate of throwback comfort food for this big kid from the 80’s and much needed at this uncertain time. Thanks Yumi!

Perfect. It is such a perfect way to talk about what’s going on. My kids had been feeling really down - it comes in waves, sometimes thrilled to have the family together and sometimes sad to not see their friends. We needed this.. At a time when the little ones in my family started to more acutely show their confusion and frustration with COVID-19, I found this book. It is just so perfect.
