Seems informative, but..... After getting this book for free and because I’m a speech therapist working in the schools providing speech therapy via Zoom, I thought this would be a book I could screen share with my students. I read the first page and it begins with a little girl named Mulu living in Africa who says she’s 11 and her sister was married at 12. She walks 2 hours to get to school and she tries to keep busy to not think about hunger. All of these are very important topics and should be discussed with children, but as difficult as the topics are for adults to grasp, I think children need to have a certain level of maturity to understand these injustices. I only read the first page and closed the book. I may open it again and be selective on topics I choose to share with my students.

❤️. I love the messages inside the book, and I just thought it was really nice. I’m a girl going into 7th grade next year, and I’ve been feeling so lonely. I miss everyone. I still see people from a distance, but I’m an only child, and I can’t seem to wait for this to be over any longer.

A nice reminder. It’s good to know that in this hard and annoying time, we can always find things to do to get our minds off everything and find ways to help others.

I feel the same. Hope is everywhere around me I just have to unblind myself. Ex: I try to find ways to distract and have fun but my family was right there for me.

Very touching, easy to relate to. During this time anyone can easily relate to this book. I highly recommend this amazing book. Anyone can read this book.

Unified Hope in pandemic/stressful times, helps.. I love that the authors shared that it’s OK for kids to have feelings of sadness and confusion at this time, while they inspire the children to put those feelings. And expressed that they should let their parents(family) & friends Grieve with them, while showing those children to follow good/caring instructions of how to handle fears and stress! I Liked it a lot. It’s a great book! It’s great for children especially the ones in elementary school, who are trying to understand what is happening and feeling all of these crazy emotions of being quarantined and not used to living like this. It gives them a sort of understanding that, there are other kids just like them who could be possibly going through the same things they’re going through.
