Not a bad book. The first 3/4th of the book were fun, romantic and informative. The ending was cheesy and the wrong ppl took the blame. Felt like the book went in a completely different direction. No real mystery or angst in the book.

Absolutely the best book I’ve ever had!. The writing, the feeling poured into the pages is phenomenal! Not filled with pages and pages of explicit sex…but with feelings, with all the emotions and the culmination of triumph. Thank you so much for this best of books!

Distant Duke and Scintillating Spinster. Funny, thoughtful and unexpected! Well written and entertaining this book kept me fascinated through the end. Great characters that exude vulnerability AND strength. Wonderful!

If you like witty main characters, read this!. I read this book in a day! The witty banter between the two main characters was smart, hilarious and sexy. Georgiana is a strong female lead and Edward is perfectly matched to her.

Wonderful book!. I loved “The “Spinster & the Rake“. It grabbed me from page 1 and I didn’t want to put it down, or for it to end. Edward - the rake, was so broken and desperately needed the love of Georgianna, a strong and feisty woman who had planned to be a spinster because she didn’t fit the mold of the perfect woman in the regency era. They had many adventures and it had a very satisfying ending.

Trapped in Marriage. When the Duke is found in a compromising situation with Miss Georgiana Bly he is honour bound to marry her, even though she is not of his station and he is convinced that she engineered the whole thing. Women are always throwing themselves at him but usually he sees such machinations coming; for some reason with this bold young lady who talks back at him, rather than with deference, he feels more like kissing her than avoiding her! Georgiana is convinced that the rude man in ill-fitting clothes who wants her to vacate the small private study in which she has hidden herself, is a servant and is dismayed when she discovers that is not the case. Now she must study to become a duchess and hope that she can find some kindness in the distant, arrogant man who is to become her husband. Hopefully the errors and typos in the unfinished proof that I read will have been corrected by the time of publication. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley.
