reading this healed my teen self’s gay heart. I was a cheerleader in high school (it’s been almost 7 years now wow…) and even became the head cheerleader my senior year. I was so deadset on getting a cheer scholarship that I didn’t date or really socialize. This book made me realize that I should’ve been more open and authentic with my heart and feelings. I had the “blessing” of having a pretty open-minded high school too, so I could have totally dated a cute basketball player and been fine. That being said, I want to thankt he author for this book. I physically started bouncing in my chair when Scottie took a (probably painful haha) walk in Irene’s shoes at the end. As an openly lesbian ex-cheerleader, this book holds a special place in my heart. I could go on-and-on, especially about the weird-way students treated cheerleaders like dolls and how we were never seen as “asthletic”, but seeing the main character who’s also a woman of color, be seen in such a positive light and respected?? That was the healing stitch I didn’t know I needed. This book was amazing and I can’t wait to read it again!!

She drives me crazy. I like it especially because I am a lesbian 🏳️‍🌈. I love the book but my brother really doesn’t like it but it doesn’t matter what he thinks really feel the book and comment what you feel at whatever you feel just whatever you do don’t hate it’s not good

AMAZING. This is actually my second time reading this book! I can’t express how much I love it, and the second time reading it was so much better(I finished this in like 6 hours straight of reading!) It was a mix of emotions, I was sad, giddy, so happy and excited I almost cried, it was absolutely amazing author thank you.

Attached (spoilers). I found the first few pages boring. But when they got into that accident, it got so so good. Every page, it just got better and better. I literally got emotional attached to this book for 2 days. Love love love how they fell in love. This book actually made me cry a bit lol.

Amazing. I really enjoyed reading this book so much I finished it in under 5hrs. I was hooked thee entire time. Would highly recommend

Recommend. This is a cute book. Loved to see the representation. This is an enemies to lovers book with a fake dating side.

A Joy to Read. The author did a great job of illustrating the characters struggle with old love and the crazy things people do when they’re hurting. Funny and a joyful read, my only complaint is it left me wanting more. Seeing as they are about to all leave for college I wanted to see how they handled that set of circumstances. But aside from that a true joy of a read, of which I’ve done a few times already!

Too real too real. I don’t think I’ve ever related to a main character this much. Loved the book, will be reading more from the author, BUT I would’ve appreciated maybe one or two But I’m A Cheerleader jokes. (Yes it would have been a bit too on the nose, no I do not care.) In all seriousness though this has probably become one of my favorite YA books.

A must read book!. If you haven't read this book already...do it Now!!! This book was such a page-turner, so I was able to finish it in 2 days. The characters are so relatable and hard not to love. It took me through a whirlwind of emotions and all I gave last to say is THANK YOU AUTHOR!!!

I couldn’t stop smiling!. I think I’m a big fan of the fake dating/enemies to lovers trope! This book was amazing, so cheesy but so cute! I really couldn’t stop smiling as I read! I started and finished within 1 day. Irene is a freaking boss and poor Scottie trying to work through her first heartbreak. Such a great book! I recommend to all who are looking for a great wlw book!
