The Wicked Aftermath by Melissa Foster Book Summary

THE WICKED AFTERMATH is an emotionally gripping story of love, loss, and hope, with a rich and entrancing happily ever after. All Wicked novels may be enjoyed as stand-alone romances.

When the person you blame for your grief is the only one who can save you from the pain...
Tank Wicked lost his sister and has since vowed to save everyone else in his path. He lives by the creed of the Dark Knights motorcycle club, sworn to protect and respect his community. He selflessly saves lives as a volunteer firefighter and treats the men and women who work for him at his tattoo shop like family. But life isn’t a balance scale where good deeds negate bad things to come, and one foggy night life guts Tank once again. When a car careens over the side of a bridge and into a river, Tank springs into action, plunging into the water to rescue the passengers. Four people go into the river, but only three come out alive.

Leah Yates is just trying to make it through each day. When the man she blames for her grief becomes the only one who can pull her from the depths of despair, she discovers that even hope comes at a price. Maybe this time she won't have to face it alone.

About the Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside
Set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod, the Wickeds feature fiercely protective heroes, strong heroines, and unbreakable family bonds. If you think bikers are all the same, you haven't met the Dark Knights. The Dark Knights are a motorcycle club, not a gang. Their members stick together like family and will stop at nothing to keep their communities safe. Some of the Wickeds’ love stories will be hilariously fun and deeply emotional, others will tear at your heartstrings and include injections of humor, but they will all leave you wishing you could climb between the pages and join them. Great story…. As always, a beautifully written Melissa Foster book! Read the series!

Truly Outstanding. OMG! WOW! JUST WOW!!! If ever a book deserved more than 5 stars, it is this one! TRULY OUTSTANDING! WARNING - you will need a few items by your side before you pick up this book, a box of tissues, snack’s & beverage of choice because once you pick this book you will not want to put it down until the very last word! Melissa never fails to write an incredible story but, for me, this long awaited story was so much more than I ever expected. Tank has been dealing with his grief for years after losing his sister. Leah, a quiet waitress new to town has caught Tank’s attention. Leah likes to keep to herself, has told nobody much about her personal life. She tries to stay clear of Tank. Their stories unravel over unimaginable circumstances. The Wicked Aftermath will leave you speechless, breathless, filled to the brim with every emotion imaginable but yet leaving you longing for more of these two amazingly strong individuals. In all Melissa’s stories, the word family encompasses more than blood relatives, in this heartbreaking and, yet at the same time somehow, uplifting story, the people in the story prove a community can become your family. Thank you Melissa Foster for writing such a beautiful emotionally charged story and still have moments of joy and laughter. If your new to Melissa’s books, you can jump right in with this one, but highly recommend the entire Love in Bloom series, you won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful book. Wonderful book! This has all the emotions. Tank and Leah, Junie and Rosie and how they navigate their new normal. Tank is a member of the Dark Knights and wants to protect and save everyone. He was always drawn to Leah while she was a waitress at the bar. But now he really is more than attracted to her and her daughters. Junie and Rosie have stolen his heart. They are so cute and will steal your heart, too. Leah is helping Tank with his loss of his sister years ago as much as he's helping her. Tank is so thoughtful and loving who could resist him? You will fall in love with all of the people in this book. Melissa Foster has done it again. I received an early copy to read without anything expected in return. I'm leaving my honest review.

Loved Leah and Tank. The Wicked Aftermath is one of my favorite Melissa Foster books, although I feel like I say that with every new release! This book grabs hold of your heart at the very beginning and doesn’t stop until the last page. On by far the worst night of her young life, that has already been a struggle, Leah meets Tank, a man who will forever change her life if she lets him. Tank is emotionally invested in those he loves and tries to help everyone he encounters, but Leah won’t let him help her easily. Getting Leah to open open, helping her young children and getting her to trust isn’t ease but Tank doesn’t give up and his big, boisterous, amazing family is there every step of the way. I loved this book and love the Wickeds!

Beautiful story. I would give this book a thousand stars if I could. Ms. Foster is a master storyteller and this book is one of her best ever. Her books are real life; romance and love isn’t always happy and giddy all the time. Their is grief, loss, despair; but their is also love, devotion and family. This book will make you cry; both happy and sad tears. But it will make you smile and laugh too. The connection between Tank & Leah is indescribable and Junie & Rosie are just the sweetest things ever and will tug at every single one of your heartstrings. I absolutely adored the way the author wrote the girls conversations with the silliness and pronunciation you would expect from toddlers. Don’t worry, the book has all the heat and sexy times you would expect from a Melissa Foster book.

You will cry. I read one review that said something about preparing some tissues because you will cry. They weren’t lying. I cried, this hit home and I felt all the emotions Leah felt when she lost her brother. I totally recommend reading. It’s a shorter book and I finished it in 5 hours but it’s worth reading!!!

Rip your heart out good!. Rip your heart out good! Seriously, buy stock in tissues. Tank does all he can to make up for his misguided notion that he didn't do enough. Leah was an amazing mom who didn't know that she was included as part of the Wicked extended clan just by working for them. This family and club band together to make sure Leah and the girls are taken care of. Falling for Tank was just a bonus. I LOVED this story!

All the feels... Oh my gosh! All the feels. I ugly sobbed and then cried happy tears. The chemistry and passion between Tank and Leah is on fire!!! The love, support and friendship offered throughout were enough to make your heart swell. I fell in love with Wicked’s and the Whiskey’s all over again!

Beautifully written. Oh man. This one pulled at the heart strings. Absolutely beautiful story, but I have never cried so much throughout a book. Highly recommend for sure

Beautiful story, once again. Love….

Emotion overload. What a great story! Yes, it’s emotional and sometimes heart wrenching where you feel like you have to cry no matter where you are reading this book. But this story is so much more than that. It’s a connection that can’t be denied between Tank who is also carrying his own emotional baggage from his sisters death and Leah who has experienced so much loss in her young life. Tank is a protector by nature and Leah is a very strong woman who finds that Tank will be her rock and will always be there for her. Together they work through the baggage life has thrown at them and become stronger as a couple. Add in Junie and Rosie and the innocence and laughter that only children can bring to situations and this story has become one of my favorites this year.

WOW!!. This was one of the most heartbreaking but beautiful romances I’ve read in a long time. This story hit home for me because I have lived some of their situations myself. I only wish I had a Tank in my life to help me through them. This story is heartbreaking and loving and funny and loads of family. Just the way I like my romances. Couldn’t put it down!!

Amazing. There are no words 😶 to do this book justice. This book was heartbreakingly beautiful. Tank Wicked has had his emotions locked up tight since his little sister died years earlier. Enter Leah, waitress at the Salty Hog. She keeps to herself goes to work and home. Leah brings out Tanks protectiveness and tank doesn’t know why. When tragedy strikes Leah Tank and the Wickeds are the only ones who can help pull her through. Loved this book.

touched My Heary. This book is one of my top five favorite books! I must warn you though that you will need a box of Kleenex while reading the book. That being said, I laughed so much in this book too mostly due to two little girls named Junie and Rosie. I fell in love with them as did all the characters in the book. Ms. Foster did such an excellent job of writing the book that I was part of the book. Leah was such a strong woman for all she went through as a young adult. I was so glad she had the Wicked family to show her and those two little girls so much love. I was especially glad they came into Tank’s life. Tank had ghosts that still haunted him and I was so happy to see Leah and the girls bring Tank back to life again. I could just see this big, intimidating man dressing up in feminine clothes because of those two little girls. This book will touch your heart in so many ways. You must read it! I was given a copy of this book and voluntarily wrote a review.

Hooked from the beginning!. Oh man, this book had me hooked from the first 20 minutes! Tank has been looking at Leah since she started working for his family, but Leah is very skittish of him. When a horrific accident occurs, Leah loses someone very close to her, despite Tank's attempts to help. Tank and his family rally around Leah to help her, but the pain in their lives is overpowering and intense. However, Tank isn't willing to let Leah curl up into her misery, and does his best to help her continue to live and thrive. But can they come together through the pain? Or will it be too much? This book had me sobbing very early on, and throughout the book. However, I was also wiping tears of laughter off of my face, so it was a wonderfully balanced story. I love the continuation of the stories of the Whiskeys and the Dark Knights, I love catching up on everyone's lives.

Wicked Aftermath. I kinda feel like the blurb doesn’t do this book justice. I almost passed this one by because I was expecting a whole lot of drama but that’s not what Foster gives us at all. The emotion is there in loads but there is actually very little angst. Instead we get a touching story of loss, grief, healing, and love. I’ll be honest, I cried at least twice so be prepared. Tank, like all the Wickeds, is a stand-up guy with a big heart. He takes his duty of protecting others seriously and that soon includes Leah and her little family. It’s beyond sweet seeing them getting closer (and those little girls wrapping ALL the Wickeds around their little fingers), supporting each other, and becoming a unit of their own. Leah hasn’t had a lot of support outside of her brother since her father died years ago. It doesn’t take long for the Wickeds to show her what it means to be one of them. It might have happened under tragic circumstances but it gives her just what she needs. There’s a decent amount of heat but so much more heart in The Wicked Aftermath. They aren’t kidding that it will “tear at your heartstrings” but Foster always knows how to make everything right and give a happy ending that is truly satisfying.

Entertaining book. This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was steamy, sweet and I wanted to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.

Emotional, gut wrenching journey. OOOOOO EMMMMM GEEEEEEE....what an emotional, gut wrenching, heart breaking journey for both Tank and Leah that will leave you reeling with wonder at how they've survived it all and came out the other side with such love that mends hearts, minds and families. No spoilers here but get ready to sob your heart out and love the Wickeds all over again!!

Tissues Needed. WONDERFUL book!. This book was written as a part of The Wicked's Dark Knights of Bayside series but it can be read as a stand alone novel. Melissa is one of my favorite authors. Her books draw you in to the story and she always brings all of the feels through her books. They are known for making a person laugh out loud at times while needing a Kleenex at other times. Her stories are fast moving and they draw you in an keep your attention. They are known for being great escapes. Get tissues before you read this book. Seriously, it is a tearjerker. If you have lost anyone close to you this goes through all of the stages of grief. It is an AMAZING story of love, loss and moving on with life after devastation. It is about keeping the faith, love and memories alive and throwing out the bad that just as easily could have taken you down. This is a book of strength and perseverance. Even though they are gone they are still with us through the shadows of grief into the bright future. Papa Tank and Lee 's story is now my favorite Melissa Foster book. Lee has spent her life taking care of her family. First when her dad dies she takes over being both mother and father to her younger brother, River. Then he struggles with falling in with the wrong crowd while she is working to keep a roof over their head. He ends up a sad teenage pregnancy statistic and she ends up adopting his two girls. River is an active part of his girls lives but they were planning on explaining it to the girls once they were older. The little family moved to a little town that Lee dreamed about and there she meets Tank the HULKING son of her boss at the restaurant where she works. There is an accident while going home one night and everything changes. Tank has also gone through loss and after losing his sister he holds everyone at arms length. The ones that he loves he is there for but always holds himself apart. Tank and his family embrace the girls while they all work through their past and into the future together.

Every Picture Tells A Stowy. I knew this would be an amazing book and I knew there would be sad parts, but I did not expect to be in tears so early into the story. This story is heartbreaking, sad, touching, emotional, devastating, and beautiful and when you feel like you cannot shed any more tears Rosie or Junie will say something or do something, and you can’t help but laugh. That is life, you have the bad/sad parts and then you have the parts that make you laugh. It wasn’t just Leah’s story that was sad, we get to find out more about Tank and his past and that adds to the sadness. While there are sad parts to this story it is also uplifting in the way that so many people are there for not just Rosie or Junie but Leah as well. As sad as this story started it ended in a great way and yes, I cried at the end, but they were happy tears. Everyone needs to read this book. This story will touch your soul and you will think about it long after you have read it. Perfection is all I can say about this book by Melissa Foster.

Excellent. I really don’t know where to start. I absolutely love Mrs. Foster’s books but she has totally gutted me with this one. It is an emotional story that will have you bawling your eyes out. The girls are the most precious and hilarious. A biker and a woman raising two small girls finding love when they thought they’d never have it. You’ll definitely need Kleenex’s for the crying and cold shower for the sex scenes. Tank owns his own tattoo shop and volunteers once a month at the fire department. Leah is a waitress at Tank’s family bar and raising two little girls. All summer Tank has tried to catch Leah’s attention but she keeps to herself. When a horrible tragedy strikes, Leah is devastated but Tank doesn’t leave her side. As the weeks go by, Tank and Leah become closer and the girls have him wrapped around their fingers. * Voluntarily read and reviewed this for the author.*

THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!. The Wicked Aftermath has me at a loss of words. The emotions this book draws out, makes me want to smile and cry all over again. Tank's story was unpredictable. I was on a high and low through this story. Leah had me hoping for her. And when Tank steps in, oh boy, talk about chemistry and a bomb of emotions. I could not get over this story and want to tell the world, THIS BOOK IS AMAZING! You will not be able to put this book down and you will have a major book hangover.

What a read!. Melissa Foster has permission to rip my heart to shreds anytime as long as she puts it back together as beautifully as she did with Tank’s story! This highly emotional and heart wrenching addition to the Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside series will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions all while showering love, devotion and even laughter all around you. Brilliantly written and breathlessly devoured! Leah is a sweetheart and had my heart quickly. She suffers a loss so deep she doesn’t know how to move forward, but Tank’s love heals her in ways she never dreamed of. Tank is a doll. His world stopped turning when his little sister died, but having someone else need the knowledge that he has gained is beneficial to his sanity. He knew Leah was special the moment he laid eyes on her … he just didn’t know how much she was going to change his world. I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who loves a close knit family who rallies around each other through life and love. They love hard and they laugh their way through life’s playground.

Starts off sad, but gets better. (Received an ARC and voluntarily reviewing) Like the blurb says, this book starts off with a tragic car accident. While that and several other moments are sad, a significant part is very lighthearted and funny, due to the adorable children. If you're a fan of single parent romances, I highly recommend reading this book just for the cute factor and the steamy love scenes. Yes, it is part of a series and features appearances by other characters, but a lot of it is just background. You don't really need to know about them to enjoy the story. All you need to know is that it's a woman who falls in love with biker and that there are cute kids involved. That's enough to get me to read it.

Spectacular!. Only Melissa Foster could write a story like The Wicket Aftermath!! Nestled in the hollows of pain and raw emotions emerges one of the most beautiful love stories I’ve ever read. Tank and Leah are… everything. A mix of emotions, really hard pasts and hearts of platinum. Their story will most certainly bring tears to your eyes - so keep the tissues at the ready. But their story will also heal your heart with hope and so, so, so much love. As in any Melissa Foster story, the zany and fun cast of characters will have you laughing out loud, the alpha men will have you swooning and Tank and Leah will steam up your reader! And, of course, Junie and Rosie are utterly adorable. Everything about this book is spectacular!

Must read!. Thrilling read and definitely a page turner!

Tank and Leah. Tank is a Wicked. He’s also a tattoo artist, Dark Knight, and volunteer firefighter. His family is everything to him. Leah works at Tank’s family’s restaurant. The aftermath is how life goes on after a fatal accident. Author Melissa Foster is a master at grabbing your feelings and wringing them out completely. I felt for the Wickeds. I felt for the Yates family. I felt for the kids most of all. There is a thread of sadness that runs through this story, but it is a love story, and a really good one. Life goes on and love will prevail. Enjoy Tank and Leah, and live your best life!

Benson and Lee. I’ve been thinking a lot about this book since I finished it, it stays with you believe me. Tank Wicked is a tattoo artist, member of the Dark Knights biker club, volunteer fireman and a self-professed protector. He’s also a tortured soul who never quite got over the death of his little sister Ashley. Leah Yates is a broken soul who is no stranger to tragedy. She also happens to work for Tank’s parents at the Salty Hog restaurant as a waitress. Leah has always gone out of her way to avoid Tank, sensing something inside him that caused this reaction. We learn that Leah has a developed sense of “knowing” at times. She lives for her two adopted toddlers Junie and Rosie and her younger brother River, living a life of responsibility from a young age, but to her credit, never resenting it. Her family means everything to her just as Tank’s does to him. Tank is drawn to Leah on a soul deep level and is confused by her reaction to him. An accident changes all their lives and it throws Tank, Leah, the girls and the Wickeds and thier extended family together. This is a story of unmaginable loss, soul crushing pain, unbearable grief, guilt and acceptance. It’s also a story of picking up the pieces and accepting help when you’re used to doing everything for yourself, immeasurable kindness, being open to new experiences as well as being vulnerable and moving forward. Most of all it’s a truly beautiful, heart tugging romance filled with passion, heat, generosity and “aha”moments. Some favorite parts: Grandpa Mike, frogs and their meaning, the never-ending kindness of Ginger and Conroy, pincakes, “every picture tells a story”, and of course learning to lean on someone and trust that they’ll keep their word and truly be there for you. This is a MUST READ for anyone who can deal with heartache, devistating loss and an emotional roller coaster that takes you on a journey to love, becoming a family and a future so bright you want to stay there with them. Five stars is not enough. If you’re a fan of Tru Blue, read this book as soon as you can, you will not be disappointed! A note to Melissa Foster: Thank you or ripping my heart out and patching it back together in the best possible way! Outstanding book!

Love after tragedy. This book is heart wrenching from the start so be ready for that. Tank is such a protector and all around great guy. I did find at times it felt like Leah was put off by this, but then I had to remember she just suffered a trauma. I love Junie and Rosie. They are wonderful and add so much to this book. I liked the ending, but honestly didn’t think this book would wrap up so nicely.

I ❤️Tank. The Wicked Aftermath is an emotional journey with heart gripping moments that even through your tears you find times to smile. There is Sunshine even when there is heartache, never forget. Tank Wicked is a well built man with a huge heart, we see that throughout The Wicked Aftermath, with Leah, Cheeky girl and Twitch his family and friends. I felt his pain dealing with his loss, his love for his family. The one person Tank is the hardest on is himself. Leah Yates life is about to take a complete turn. Leah is the bravest of women, she is fierce, compassionate, talented and when she loves its forever. Leah’s life has had a lot of pain, but with her latest tragedy that literally brings her to her knees. How can she move on? Where do I start with this hero and heroine? There are so many layers too them both. Tank & Leah worlds connected the moment Leah starts working at the Salty Hog, they just don’t realize how connected they were. Melissa Foster creates such amazing moments with her hero’s and heroine’s, but let me tell you my heart stopped and started so many times throughout The Wicked Aftermath for Tank , Leah, River, Junie and Rosie. Through all they endured is it possible to find a new beginning for them all? The supporting characters were amazing as always. Tank’s family, his employees and his biker friends all made it so easy to connect and love them. I enjoy seeing how easily they all welcomed Leah, Junie, Rosie and River into their extended family. The Dark knights love is not just for family and friends, it reaches out to everyone within their community. As always I enjoy visiting with all the families from previous books in The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside Series , but I have to say next to Tru Blue, The Wicked Aftermath is one of the most heart wrenching story lines I have read by Melissa Foster, but with that being said I am blessed too watch the families heal and grow from all that transpires within their lives. I just wished I could rate this book higher, it was that wonderful. I will be screaming from the roof tops about The Wicked Aftermath for a long time. Rated 5 Stilettos and a Recommended Read by Deb !

Tank and Leah. Holy crap did this book grab me by the emotions, Melissa always knows which buttons to push and how hard to make you feel exactly what her characters are feeling and those punches to your emotions always take my breath away.

What a tear jerker. Melissa Foster has definitely stepped up when she wrote Tank & Leah’s story. She has brought out every human emotion in this story. A definite must read and make sure you have enough tissues

Soul touchingly beautiful!. The Wicked Aftermath by Melissa Foster has the biggest range of emotions I have ever experienced in a romance book. Tank and Leah’s story absolutely touched my soul. Both Leah and Tank have experienced the absolute worst of emotional and quite frankly, life altering events. I was absolutely gutted by these events and then watched how the author put Tank and Leah back together along with myself as well. The entire cast of The Wicked Aftermath were so well developed and heartfelt, they are amazing. Leah’s two little girls absolutely stole Tank’s heart and mine too! The emotion and passion just flew off the pages with this story. Melissa Foster is a master at emotional, funny, sexy, and quite steamy stories. Her characters are smart, funny, handsome, beautiful (inside and out), and very sexy. Melissa’s heroes are sexy, handsome alpha’s with the masterful ability to talk dirty in the most sexy way. Completely recommend The Wicked Aftermath by Melissa Foster. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. *****

A little bit wicked. I so enjoy the Whiskey and Wicked series! Mav and Chloes story was a great read! For me it was a little slow he first 2 chapters with all the catch up and her hesitation, but once they finally got together I was hooked! I’d love to live in their world of love and loyalty! Highly recommend!

Hands down one of the best books I’ve ever read. I am at a loss for words when it comes to The Wicked Aftermath. This story gripped my heart, I felt it deep in my soul. I don’t feel like there are enough words to describe how this story truly made me feel. It was gut wrenching, it was raw, it was emotional, it was tragic, it was sweet, it was pure beauty. I was in tears by the end of the first chapter and they never stopped. Leah and Tank’s story is so much more than just a romance. It is about love, loss and finding yourself after such great loss. The sense of family and support in this story is amazing. The entire Wicked family and all the Dark Knight family have so much love for not only their members but their entire community and that is something that shows in this story. Leah and Tank are meant for each other. They found each other when they both needed it most. They understood each other on a level that many would never get. It truly felt that fate brought them together. Junie and Rosie were absolutely adorable. Those little girls completely stole my heart. They were sweet, they were beautiful. They experienced a tragic loss, too but they added so much lightness and hope to the story. The bonds the formed with the entire Wicked family….those girls had everyone wrapped around their little fingers. The Wicked Aftermath is a book that I will never forget. It touched me on a personal level and reading it felt therapeutic in a way. This is one you just need to read for yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Wicked Aftermath, a must Read!. At first I was not sure I should read this book, but from the moment that I started to read “The Wicked Aftermath” I was drawn to the characters and I couldn't put the book down! We meet Tank Wicked who on the outside is an intimidating man (size, tattoos, piercings) until you get to know him then you realize he is a kind, gentle soul. Then you meet Leah Yates, a shy, quiet, private young woman with a southern accent that likes to keep to herself. From the start of the book you could feel how drawn Tank and Leah were to each other but neither are sure of how to approach the other until one fateful night - a devastating accident that leads to a beginning. Friendship, loyalty, trust, family and love are words to describe The Wicked Aftermath. I would recommend reading this book but be sure to have tissues ready!

Heartbreaking and Heartmending, all at the same time. I've been waiting for Tank's book! He's been so quiet and seemingly grumpy every time we see him and I couldn't wait to meet the woman who would be his match. I was NOT disappointed. Leah and Tank's story is one of heartbreak and sadness, of bonding over grief, yet it's so much more. It's a story of hope and family and belonging. Watching Tank take care of this little family and the two cutest little girls I've ever read made me feel all warm and tingly. And the way that Leah found a place for herself after tragedy broke my heart. This book made me cry in the best way possible. Melissa broke me a little and put me back together, just like Tank and Leah. I loved this one.

Oh my. OH MY.....The Wicked Aftermath just gives you heart squeezing moments, the gooey, the hot, the giggling times and well just so many emotions. Tissues may be needed but you will just love this one so much. Such a fantastic read that I could not put down. Tank is everything. He has so much heart and may just make your ovaries explode. Leah is just amazing with everything she is dealt with and how she is with the girls. Juni and Rosie will melt your heart and put a smile on your face. You get all the Wicked's that you know and love what more can you ask for. Well....Tank and Leah and their chemistry is off the charts. Tank with Juni and Rosie will just give you those gooey feels. This book is one you will not be able to put down. I loved how Leah finally let everyone in her life...I should say how the Wicked's did not give her that choice. This is so worth all the emotions and tears you may have to get to such a huge love that Tank and Leah share. I loved this so much. You need to one click this one.

Enjoy the Emotional Rollercoaster!. Wow! Where to begin! This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster! I love Foster’s characters they have depth and layers that are revealed the more you read and the more you get to know them! Tank and Leah are such wounded souls, lost in grief they truly find solace with each other. Tank is this huge, bearded, tatted man who is fierce, loyal, and protective with a gentle soul. Leah is strong, loving, and protective. Together, they help each other overcome their grief while cherishing the memories of their lost loved ones. I loved having a front row seat watching the journey these two take as they find a way to move forward while still holding onto their precious memories. Also, June and Rosie stole my heart – they are the cutest little girls and they just made me smile so much. Foster really knocked it out of the park with this book, definitely a must for any TBR! Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Tank was a long time coming.... it was just..... When it comes to Melissa Foster and the heroes that she write, you should not be amazed you fall in love with each one for a different reason. Tank Wicked has been the one hero that I have wanted to see more about since the first time he was introduced to me in the Bayside series. Just from that brief encounter with him then. Showed there was something more about him. Having the patience to wait for his story was hard. Tank was not just another sexy, strong man. He was a man that has experienced a deep loss that changed his entire world. He was hard working, protective, strong, determined, and hurting. His counterpart was Leah and she was confused. I found her to be angry with Tank, but attracted to him at the same time. I would not call this an enemies to lovers. I would call this a complicated love match. Once again Melissa Foster delivers a since of family, pride, respect, friends(ship), community, and an emotional component that have you thinking and relating it to something real. Looking for an engaging read that will touch your emotions, have you experience loss, love, bonding, and give you a couple that works to make it work. Then you need to pick up The Wicked Aftermath. Tank's story was a long time coming and it was so worth it. The depth of his story draws you further into the world of the Wicked's and the Dark Knight family. Reasons I enjoyed this book: Easy-to-read Entertaining Romantic Realistic Tragic Wonderful characters Audio Update***** Overall 4 out of 5 stars Performance 3 out of 5 stars Story 5 out of 5 stars tank wicked for life.... When it comes to Melissa Foster and the heroes that she write, you should not be amazed you fall in love with each one for a different reason. Tank Wicked has been the one hero that I have wanted to see more about since the first time he was introduced to me in the Bayside series. Just from that brief encounter with him then there was something there that I wanted more of. There was something more about him than just losing his sister the way he did. Having the patience to wait for his story was hard. Tank was not just another sexy, strong man. He was a man that had experienced a deep loss that changed his entire world. He was hard working, protective, strong, determined, and hurting. His counterpart was Leah and she was confused. I found her to be angry with Tank, but attracted to him at the same time. Her anger was not so much as I hate you stay away. It was more being around you confuses me and lures me at the same time. He was a puzzle she could not understand. I would not call this an enemies to lovers. I would call this a complicated love match. The both of them had hurdles to overcome. They both experienced loss that rocked their world. They both had something more to loss if things did not go right. I am going to say this clear and right off. YOU will NEED tissue for this listen/read. You will feel things. You will be drawn in. Now, for the drawback of this audio. I was not impressed with the audio narrator duo. There were times when the wonderful characters just did not sound right or match. I will say that they were some consistency with the vocal ranges, pitches, and engagement. I had issues with the not so consistent sounds. The males at times sounded the same. Not sure whom was speaking until you were told. Or if it was the male or the female at the time speaking. Again that is just me and maybe the speed to which I listen to my audios, but that was how I got things. It was not an issue to the point that I would stop my audio. I was able to get through it all. The story for me was just too much to pass on. Even though I had already read it. I love audios they allow for another direction to view the story without turning pages or being blinded by the words on the page. Reasons I enjoyed this book: Easy-to-listen to Entertaining Romantic Realistic Tragic Wonderful characters

Everyone needs a Tank. Tank and Leah takes us an emotional roller coaster. Make sure you have your tissues. Tank and the Wicked clan have taken Leah in as their own and make sure that Leah and the girls are taken care of. Everyone needs a little Tank in their life.

Heart wrenchingly beautiful. The emotions reading this brought out were crazy and yet beautiful. It took me through tears, laughter, awe and so much more. Melissa Foster you brought this book to a whole new level for me. I’ve loved reading all your books, this one just took me deeper. Thank you and I can’t wait for your next release

Every emotion in this book!. The Wicked Aftermath is the story of Tank and Leah. Tank owns a tattoo shop and volunteers on the fire dept. Leah is a single mom of 2 girls and her brother. She waitresses at the Wicked's bar/restaurant. We saw in A Little Bit Wicked that there was some chemistry between these two. When tragedy strikes Leah is left devastated. Tank steps up take care of her and her daughters even though he has his own past tragedy. I ugly cried, laughed and swooned. You get all the feels with this one and definitely will need kleenex. Junie and Rosie stole my heart from the start. They definitely have Tank wrapped around their little fingers. I highly recommend this book. Melissa Foster is the best!! I love ALL of her books but this one has jumped to the front of the line. She really deserves 1billion stars for this!!

Such a powerful story…. I am going to say that Wicked Aftermath is hands down my favorite read by Melissa Foster. It is such a powerful read. You can feel the characters heartbreak, pain, grief and guilt. It's an emotional roller coaster that will break you and by the end you are put back together again. I absolutely love Tank (swoon) and Leah. And the girls??? I can't deal with the cuteness. This is a story that will surely stay with you for a long time.

Emotional and heartbreaking. 4.5⭐️ I have not read the first book of the series. But I know how deep and emotional Melissa's writings could go. But this book was beyond what I had expected! Prepare a box of tissues before you start reading this one. Because right from the start, it's a waterworks fest. You're going to cry and cry, have a little bit of break, then cue the waterworks again. Leah and Tank's story was such an emotional and heartbreaking story! But you can't help but love it with all these great characters, amazing storyline and combustible chemistry for days! Highly highly recommended!

AMAZING!!!. This book may just be my favorite MF book to date. I don’t even know the right words to explain this story other than to say it moved me. It hit right at the core of how we all feel about loss and grief. Seeing how Tank and his family and friends were there for Leah and her little family brought tears to my eyes. All the sweet things Tank did for the girls and ALL the dirty things Tank did for Leah made this story amazing!!!

HEA. As is usual with Melissa Fosters books, I went through a rollercoaster of emotions! Gut wrenching tragedy brings Tank and Leah together, and the story brings you through the many layers of grief, showcases the strength of a large family and leads to HEA. I fall in love with each new book Melissa Foster releases

Emotional Ride. Wow! What an emotional ride from the beginning of the book to the very last word. Tank (Benson) Wicked and Leah(Lee) Yates’ story grabs your heart and tears, creates so many emotions from unbelievable sadness, to the happiness of two precious little girls ( Rosie and Junie) giggles. Melissa pulls the reader into the hardest situations, tackles family hard, real life occurrences, plus putting the meaning of love and it’s acceptance into your life. I shed lots of tears reading their story but this is definitely my favorite book of Melissa Foster. Tank and Leah’s love story is one you will never forget! Wish I could give it 10 stars instead of five! No spoilers here……they would ruin the true meaning of this beautiful story.

Emotional love story. As you all know i absolutely love Melissa Foster and her amazing books! She just released a new wicked series book and it is absolutely amazing! You have to get her books if you love realistic romance. You will fall in love with her books. Leah and Tank’s story is one for a box of tissues. You will feel the emotional roller coaster of theiR tragic life. It’s heartbreaking but sweet and tender. Tank lost his sister at a young age and blames himself for not saving her. She was his to protect and he failed. Now he spends his life fe saving others with no regards in how dangerous that can be until he meets and falls for Leah and her two girls; but he can’t even saved them from the loss and suffering he has felt. Leah is a strong woman who has had life throw her way too many tough curve balls at such a young age. She raised her teen brother after her father died then took and raised her brothers daughters all before turning 25. Now she has to deal with another huge loss. Can she do it or will she finally break. Can Tank open her up and put all her broken pieces back together again? I definitely recommend this book. I hooks you and doesn’t let you go til the end. Amazing and emotional. Keep the tissues nearby when reading this story. Loved it

Wow, these wicked boys are something. Tank had always been drawn to Leah from the moment she started work at the Salty Hog, but Leah avoided any type of contact with him, including eye contact. Until one fateful night that changes both their lives. An accident that will change both their lives but where they will heal and deal with their own losses while drawing closer to one another. Love really does heal all the hurt. Follow their touching and heartbreaking story.

The wicked aftermath. This book will take your heart, rip it out, stomp on it and then slowly piece it back together. Never has a Melissa Foster book made me stop reading as it was too emotional! Through the tears of those first several chapters, I discovered a story that was deeply moving – filled with plenty of harrowing moments but also as it progressed heart warming moments as well. Leah goes to hell and back at the start of this book and with the help of the delectable Tank Wicked (sorry Tru you have been moved off top spot for me!) who has suffered a similar fate to Leah, he helps to piece her and her girls back together, alongside the whole Wicked family and community. I honestly cant put into words how great this story was without giving too much away -suffice to say it takes a talented writer to rip you heart out and still weave at story that gives you a happy ever after! This is one of Melissa’s books that will stay with you, fuelled with raw emotion you will be hard pushed to read this without shedding a tear!

Heartbreakingly Beautiful. This is the story of Tank and Leah. It will break your heart and put it back together. It was wonderful and glorious I can’t recommend it enough.

This book will grab your heart and not let go!. Having just moved to Bayside with her brother and her girls, Leah is happily adjusting to life without her father and working at The Salty Hog. Tank is still coming to terms with the sudden loss of his sister and yet feels drawn to Leah. Their HEA is quite the ride, it grabbing your heart from the start and not letting go. You will feel every emotion, some powerfully. This has fast become my favourite Melissa Foster book, and I have enjoyed them all, many times over. Take some time for yourself to enjoy this ride, you won't regret it!

A heartbreaking ever after. Benson ‘Tank’ Wicked has been living only half a life since suffering a great loss, nothing had peaked his interest until her, it’s a shame she can’t stand to be around him for more than a few minutes. Leah Yates is living a life she envisioned, he may not be the norm but it’s all hers, that’s until a tragic accident takes one piece of her life away…. How can she move on for this loss. Tank and Leah come together after both suffering a great loss, they find something in each other that makes the pain easier to live with. This whole story is heartbreaking, funny, romantic and everything you expect from Melissa Foster. I loved this story so much that I read it twice before writing the review – I don’t think I have ever cried so much let alone twice. Another fantastic read and addition to this series.

A beyond words read. The Wicked Aftermath is the incredibly touching, and heartfelt new read by Melissa Foster, and it is the second book in the Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside series. I have been an avid fan of Foster for many many years, and the beauty about being addicted to her books, is seeing how much her writing style evolves with each new love story. She can write absolutely anything from sweet romances, to fiery dark books, but what I am loving the most is the incredibly thought provoking books which hit you with all the feels and really take you on an emotional journey. This book was certainly one of them, it was everything. I’ve never had my heartbroken so much, yet healed and fulfilled all in one perfectly packed read. It was beautiful, it was painful, but it also showed the best of love in general, from familial ties, to lasting friendships to pure raw and natural passion, and Tank and Leah were to die for. I cried real tears at this one, and books that make me physically feel and react become my all time favourite reads, and Foster hit me with it all in The Gritty Truth, but this read felt on an entirely new level. The characters are amazingly depicted, and I have a complete soft spot in my heart for Rosie and Junie. Tank was the perfect brooding hero, and Leah was the woman who looked into his eyes and felt his hidden pain. Their connection felt beyond just a ‘sweet romance’ but like a soul crushing, air you breathe sort of love, and it really left me feeling completely on a high, obsessed and just completely mad for their love. This book is the perfect read for those who love not only a series, but strong stand alone reads. It is well written, true to life, and has some incredibly powerful and thoughtful quotes which I couldn’t help but repeatedly highlight as I read. A beyond words read, and a top read for 2021!

An emotional read. From the depths of grief comes love for Leah and Tank. This story is emotional, deep, both heartbreaking and heart warming at the same time. It’s a moving tale of coping with loss, and finding an immense love at the same time. Join Tank and his family as they support Leah and her girls through this devastating time. Leah’s girls are cute and at times they will say and do the funniest things. Tissues will definitely be required for this story!

Beautiful & Hot !. Absolute beautiful story about Lee and Tank. Loving the Wicked reads as much as all the Whiskey’s! Melissa you are amazingly talented…love your work. Definitely a fan!!

A must read. Melissa Foster broke my heart with this one and then slowly piece by piece put it back together again. I fell in love with these characters and truly felt their pain, this book quite literally took my breath away and I just couldn’t read it fast enough. I had such a hard time putting this one down - a must read!

So good. What a roller coaster of a ready The Wicked Aftermath was. This was one of the most emotional reads I have read in this series and brought out so many feelings whilst reading. I was riveted from the first page to the last. This is one of my favourite series with characters that are well developed and easy to relate too. This is Tank Wicked and Leah Yate’s story and oh what a story it was. As I have come to expect from a Melissa Foster story, this was extremely well written. Tank lives by his MC creed, he is a volunteer firefighter who does his best to protect those in need and vulnerable, however some times even your best is not enough. I fell hard and fast for these characters, Tank is so swoon worthy that he just about melted my heart. The pain and emotion that Tank and Leah go through is heart breaking. Can they come to terms with the past and in doing so forge a future together? This book is emotional, gripping, a story of family, love, romance, of overcoming ones fears, of digging deep and never giving up. Ms. Foster had me in tears at times, she ripped me apart and then put me back together.

All the feels. I’m not sure I have the words to do The Wicked Aftermath (The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside #2) justice but I’m going to give it my best shot. This roller coaster drew me in from the first few pages and took over, this is one of the most emotional reads I have read by Melissa Foster and it had me feeling things I didn’t know I had inside me. This book touched me on so many levels. This is Tank Wicked and Leah Yates story and boy do they have a story to tell. Tank is a volunteer firefighter who lives by his MC rules, he does everything in his power to protect the vulnerable and those in need so when he comes across a car accident he was always going to try and save every person in that car but it’s not always possible to save everyone.... I fell hook, line and sinker for all the characters in this book, Tank, Leah and her adorable little girls stole a piece of my heart and I’m sure I want it back. I went through every emotional including my heart breaking as I joined Tank and Leah on their journey but I also found myself smiling and giggling as they tried to build a future. This is a story about pain, emotions, love and digging deep to overcome the heartbreak life has thrown at you but what took this book to another level was the loyalty, the friendship and the brotherhood of the Wicked family. For me this is one of the best reads of 2021 and certainly my favourite so far in this fantastic series.

strong and sensitive. THE WICKED AFTERMATH is the second instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult THE WICKEDS: DARK KNIGHTS AT BAYSIDE erotic, romance series focusing on the residents of Bayside Cape Cod, and the members of the Dark Knights motorcycle club. This is thirty-two year old, biker/ tattoo artist Benson ’Tank’ Wicked, and twenty-four year old waitress Leah Yates’ story line. THE WICKED AFTERMATH and The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside is a spin off from the author’s Bayside Summers, The Whiskeys, and its’ numerous franchises. Told from dual third person perspectives (Tank and Leah) THE WICKED AFTERMATH is an emotional, heart breaking and heart warming story line that focuses on loss, love, grief and recovery. Tank Wicked has lusted after Leah Yates since she started working at the family bar but Leah’s personal life was a mystery, and Tank was about to find himself in the middle of our heroine’s family tragedy. With the Wicked family taking control, ensuring Leah survived the oncoming fallout, Tank Wicked makes it his personal mission to support Leah as the days and weeks begin to spiral out of control. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Leah and Tank, as our couple navigate a minefield of grief, acceptance and loss. As per Melissa’s style of writing, the Wicked family, the Dark Knights, and their affiliated friends and acquaintances step up and step in when one of their own needs friendships and love. Leah Yates finds herself surrounded by people who are about to become an intricate part of her support system, a system that now includes the man with whom she will fall in love. The relationship between Leah and Tank begins after a tragic loss. Benson ‘Tank’ Wicked refuses to leave Leah alone, knowing at some points everything is about to come crashing down. Leah struggles in the face of acceptance and loss but her attraction to Tank is visceral and strong- the sexual chemistry is incredible and raw. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic, and sassy secondary and supporting characters many of whom we have me in previous storylines and series. We are introduced to Junie and Rosie whose presence is a balm on the open wounds of our leading couple. THE WICKED AFTERMATH is a story of overcoming tragic loss; a tale of family, friendships, love and understanding. The premise is strong, sensitive, and stirring; the romance is provocative and tender; the characters are flirty, wounded and inspiring. THE WICKED AFTERMATH is a wonderfully, heart warming addition to Melissa Foster’s family of stories.

The Wicked Aftermath. 5+ Stars … The Wicked Aftermath (The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside #2) is a standalone small town, single mother romance told in the dual third-person point of view of Tank and Leah. ⁣ Wickeds always keep their promises. ⁣ An emotionally raw, devastatingly heartbreaking, and joyfully uplifting story about loss, healing, family, and so much love to warm your soul! Melissa Foster has completely outdone herself with this story. A MUST READ with tissues needed and in my opinion, her best work yet! ⁣ I'm only me because you're you. ⁣ Tank and Leah’s story took me on the largest emotional roller coaster, was one of the most emotional books I have read and left me with a book hangover like no other. One minute I am ugly crying and the next I am smiling from ear to ear with tears of joy. If you have ever lost someone suddenly this will pull at those heartstrings as well. ⁣ "Put your records on, baby. I've got your back." ⁣ The Wicked’s are an amazing family that lookout for those who mean the most to them and have so much love to give. Tank and Leah started a little rough but after everything, their connection to each other can not be avoided and runs so deep. There is nothing that Papa Tank will not do for his girls to keep them safe. Rosie and Junie absolutely stole my heart from the very beginning of the story. ⁣ *Triggers … Death*

Leah & Tank - Bring the Kleenex, super emotional. Leah & Tank…. Oh the feels.. what a gut wrenching, heart breaking, heart put back together book. Absolutely loved it but make sure you have lots of Kleenex. Junie & Rosie are too cute for words. Another amazing book by Melissa Foster. Tank has hit #1 in my books, absolute re-read. Loved it!!!!
