Young in Years but Old in Wisdom. I’ve read this book over the last 45 years probably 8 or 9 times— 8 noted in journals. There are so many insights and beautifully evoked moments and experiences that one comes away feeling as though Anne is a deaf, personal friend. If you have read it, try reading it again. If you have not, then give yourself the gift of a moving, important experience.

She was just 15!. Anne Frank was an amazing girl, very intelligent with many talents. but SHE WAS ONLY 15! How could she die at 15? It’s all because nobody could accept Jewish people. I thought this was so ridiculous. She was a little girl. Her sister was only 1818. Most people have a lot of advantages but dying is not one of them.!!!

Wow. I’m 10 years old and reading this sad yet amazing book it is truly heartbreaking that she died at a very young age but Anne was an amazingly talented in writing I really enjoyed reading about her life I recommend reading this book.

Beyond. It’s hard to put into word’s how much I needed to read this book to gain a full understanding of the horrors endured by so many. Anne has encouraged a need to further educate myself beyond the Diary and with today’s technology one can easily access information that was previously hidden from truth. I thought through schooling I knew a lot about WW2 but reading the reality of day to day sufferance through Anne’s eyes has been a journey in time, I really felt as if ‘kitty’ was all of us in friendship with her. May her writing live on forever in hope that history will never repeat itself. Thank you Anne x

Heartbreaking. This book is about the daily life of Anne Frank when she was living in the secret annexe. I found Anne very intelligent and intellectual for her age as she spoke/wrote well spoken. It was so interesting and fascinating to find out about her life. Towards the end, Anne gets so optimistic about the war, but it saddens me to think that she never saw the end of the war. I also enjoyed her relationship with Peter and how she reminisces about school and her old boyfriend. I also like how much she misses the simple things in life such as school and how excited she is to return. All in all it’s a sad book because you read it and see how optimistic and excited and nervous she is about the war and how she thinks it’s ending but you know the ending and know she died before the war ended. I would recommend this to anyone as it’s a historic moment to read about from a young girls point of view, which is different to normal history books you read about.
