Amazing. While I was reading it I got so many goose bumps so many times. I always felt very connected to Mariah Carey BACK in 2006 when I came to the USA. After I heard her voice I became her number one fan however, there was a spiritual connection as well and today I know why upon finishing reading her book. Mariah, we love you and keep being the strong person that you are! It amazes me all that you have gone through and still how you manage to be a being of light. I can connect with your story in so many ways but JUST LIKE YOU I keep holding on to faith and I don’t ever let them take that away from me. I hope you keep healing because I do know sometimes there are BACK lashes but God is great and those two beautiful children, which I myself also have two kids, are the reason to keep shining and pushing through. That shied that you created to protect yourself will forever be your guard and use it every time you want to because your peace doesn’t have a price. Don’t let them put a tag on it! Love you; your number one fan dahhhling. And here is for mire festivities and amazing moments to come!!!

Every page I was more shocked than the next.. We see her as this diva who has it all and that may be true... however, this book showed us that she came from less than nothing and somehow overcame it all. If there is just wasn’t chapter to read it would be “Dandelion Tea.” Drugged my her sister, almost raped at a drive thru at 12 & three degree burns by hot tea being thrown at her it is so sad yet so encouraging to people struggling.

Loved!!. I loved this book!!! It took me on a spree of re-listening to all of my Mariah favorites for weeks! It was interesting to learn about her life and how amazing she is! I love her!! 💕🦋

Mariah is a GENIUS!. Wow, crazy how amongst all of her albums she goes back and writes about the pain and struggles she faced with family, the industry, and relationships. I love that about Mariah! I’m so happy she gave us insight back story on some of the most favorite songs of hers today we know today. This memoir is simply incredible! Brava Brava Brava ! Wow simply amazing! Mariah you did it! Keep on doing it! Thank you for inspiring me and so many others! Love you! Hope to meet you soon!

A Masterpiece. This book truly defines one self story through the lenses of oneself. Mariah gave her all in this book with truly remarkable moments in her life whether they were dark or life time achievements. Thank You Mariah for inspiring me and I know it will inspire others! A true masterpiece!

Title was fine but misleading.. I was very disappointed. In fact, I could not get through the whole book. It seemed to be a “woe is me” book which I found less than interesting. I wish Mariah better luck next time.

A story of unbelievable Strength courage and faith.... I’ve read many of stories but not quite like this one. Mariah Carey is a superstar by far one of the greatest. Knowing her story makes her even more phenomenal. I feel closer to her after reading her words.

Speechless. I had no idea about her full story. I could not put this book down. I am grateful that she shared her story. I have a new level of respect, empathy, and connection to her. It was very deep no platitudes or fillers; she went to her core.

Inspired. I have to say that of course I know who you are, but never had an opinion. UNTIL NOW. I didn’t want this book to end. You are truly an inspiration to all ages. Must Read. I absolutely loved this book, couldn’t put it down! Her story just captures your heart, I have always been a Mariah fan but after reading her autobiography I have so much respect for her talents, and determination .

Bravo 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Mariah Carey is one of the rare of living legends that seem to be dying off. I’m glad she has gotten a chance to tell her story in “her words” And most importantly that she is getting her flowers while she’s still here. This is such a touching book, that make you cry, laugh, gasp, angry etc. Bravo Mariah!

Touching, moving, inspiring!. What an inspirational and phenomenal look into the life of world renowned superstar, Mariah Carey. I loved her before but I have a deep admiration and respect for her after learning of her trials and tribulations and how she overcame them through faith, love and her unending trust in God. Best book!. I’m usually not a reader but I could not put this down! If you are a Mariah fan you will LOVE this book! Even if you are not a fan it’s amazing! Her stories about her childhood made me cry my eyes out! This is the most hardcore and honest book you will not want to put it down. I am going to read it again!

The Strength to Carey On. This book is an honest and open memoir by the best selling female artist of all time. From struggle, pain and betrayal she found strength and resilience, her story is anchored in Faith that as Mimi shares “can’t be defined but it has defined me”. I have personally gifted over a dozen copies to family, friends and patients (as a psychiatrist/therapist) because I knew it would speak to each of them in some way, and it also gave them a more whole understanding of my sincere and consistent respect and unconditional love for Mariah through the years. The book validates that for all those who might say “her music saved my life”, it is genuinely mutual. Behind the layers of “Diva” is a deep and beautiful spirit of a woman and a wayward child that has a lot to say and share. Personally, I will be re-reading this for years to come. I will also look forward to part 2, 3 and 4 :) #L4L

Best Act Yet. If you were really interested in getting to know Mrs. Carey then this is the book for you. I’ve been a fan since I was nine years old and I am now 41 years of age… Nothing prepared me for this book it is such a brilliant body of work.

I would choose different read. Save your time. This book has left no impression on me. She makes herself the victim in every story she tells and it seems much like a pity party of a story and doesn’t feed into how she’s overcame much. There were some points where I sat the book down for days at a time because of how self absorbed it seemed. I wouldn’t recommend buying this and if I owned the hard copy i wouldn’t loan it , nor give it away to be read. I was very disappointed with how it was wrote. Half the book is about her first marriage and it was the same repeat story over and over in a different year at a different event without digging deeper into feelings thoughts.

Wow- truly inspirational for anyone. I did not expect this to be as good as it is. Mariah truly shocked me with how open and honest she is. How raw. Her story is one of inspiration for anyone.

A lesson in faith. As a lifelong lamb, there were not many revelations in this book that I hadn’t suspected. The painful familial relationships, the suffocating marriage, the racial isolation have been in Mariah’s music all along, and I KNOW the catalog, dahhhling! That said, I was riveted the entire way through this book. Mariah owns the telling of these stories, and balances unflinching honesty with that meme-able humor we all know so well. She describes events as they impacted her, giving us an understanding of how she ticks and how she survives. As she chronicles her journey of survival and success, Mariah lays out a blueprint for employing faith to navigate any sort of struggle, any kind of pain. Thank you, MC for sharing your story with us for the past 30 years! It’s exactly why “you’ll always be a part of me” 🎶🦋

Real Treat for the Lambs. No Wendy, these aren’t stories we’ve heard before. Mariah takes us deep into her childhood and shares some very personal, raw, and untold stories. She even sings songs she’s never performed live before. Written the way only Mariah can, this woman is a genius. Even if you aren’t a fan/don’t care for her, this book really gives you insight as to what it’s like growing up biracial, and inspiration to overcome whatever life throws your way.

The gift that keeps on giving 😍. Mariah love her fans. The lambs are sooo lucky to have her as an inspiration and she gives back so much to them through her music and now a book! A true pioneer and a legend of our generation. 🙌

A true butterfly. I took my time with this book. Incredible story of an incredible woman with talent far beyond the horizons Mariah truly shared her life through a book her transformation from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly is a journey in itself, you can imagine every scene her life by far has been perfect but gee did she fight till the end to have her peace 5 stars best book ever!

Queen Mariah. I am a true Mariah Carey fan and I thought I knew everything about her until I read this book! I awaited this book for years! And it was worth the wait. Mariah dives into the meaning of Mariah Carey. Not only don’t you get to know about her childhood, stardom and love life; you get to know the meaning behind the music most importantly the lyrics of those songs. Now when I listen to those songs I truly understand the meaning of Mariah Carey.

W.O.W!. Simply amazing! As a lamb, you think you know everything there is about Mariah. But clearly that was just the tip of the iceberg! I had to go back and listen to her songs again with a newfound understanding and respect for the lyrical content. Mariah will forever remain my idol and one day I hope to be able to share a moment with her to let her know how much she means to me.
