Loved it! Such a great read!. 4.5-stars! Behind the Plate by J. Sterling is worth the read if you read or have not read The Perfect Game series, but if you have, it’s an extra special treat. Because if you have, this is the story of Jack Carter’s son, Chance. Chance who is so close to making all this dreams come true. Then he discovers he is failing a class that could stand in his way. The answer? Tutor Danika, who is off limits, right? His dreams come first. I loved Chance. He was dedicated, determined and charming and loves his family. Danika is smart and full of sass and tries to be a good person. She is in a relationship that she has been questioning for a while when she meets Chance. Though the attraction is there, they both become friends first. Behind the Plate by J. Sterling is a fantastic read that had a bit of angst and a whole lot of charm. I loved it! Happy reading!

Home Run!!. I don’t know where to start! I loved it! Home Run!! Chance’s only focus is baseball. No girls! Math is his enemy and having to finally take and pass math he know he needs help. In walks Danika as his tutor. No he cannot have this gorgeous woman as his tutor even if she does have a boyfriend. Danika does not help athletes after last years mess so how did she get stuck with Chance. With her boyfriend starting to really tick her off and her attraction to Chance growing she knows she needs to make some decisions. The chemistry of off the charts with these two and a Chance wants to go all in. Can Danika handle the life of a baseball player. Loved getting some more of Jack and Cassie. Read it!!!

One of the best reads of the year. What do you do when you come baseball royalty... you follow in your father’s footsteps but Chance Carter is struggling in one class in his junior year at Fullton State and that could mean an the end to his career before it’s even started.... Danika is a mouthy tutor from New York who steps up to help him with that class, she doesn’t suffer fools gladly and she has no interest in getting in this mans pants, unlike most other students who seem to fall at Chance’s feet. Chance is used to girls wanting more than friendship from him and he struggles to trust this tutor who seems to be his lifeline to the draft.... What follows is two people who struggle to trust but still have amazing chemistry trying to put feelings aside so they can get the ultimate goals they desire. Chance is a guy you will fall and hard and fast for and Danika is a strong independent woman you will wish had your corner. This is one of those books that touches you on so many levels and you know just how special it is when you find yourself thinking about the romance long after the final words have been read. I smiled, I laughed, I swooned and I found myself hoping this couple got the HEA they so deserved. I loved everything about this book, I loved the knowledge of baseball, the character’s, the love, the humour and I loved catching up with Jack and Cassie Carter. Great addition to one of my favourite series

Blew my mind!. Behind the Plate blew my mind! Chance Carter’s story is absolutely amazing and getting to learn more about him and how he is around his family and teammates is incredible. The author has written a book that will hook your attention just as it did mine and she should be incredibly proud of the words penned. Chance, be still my beating heart. A true family person, with an absolute heart of gold. He’s thoughtful, caring and a fictional character that I grew to really love. Danika was a breath of fresh air. A strong, capable character who had some big decisions to make. Her introduction to Chance as his math tutor is the start of a great friendship, or is it? Truth be told I didn’t want the book to end. It was also wonderful seeing how Chance’s parents Jack and Cassie are doing. If you haven’t read their story in The Game series, I highly recommend you do. Im honestly blown away and so excited for more of the series to come. Hands down amazing and a definite must read.
