Heartwarming. Another wonderful story by Melissa Foster. A small, wealthy island 🏝 community is the heart of the story. The honest characters show depth of emotions for each other especially love ❤️. Family drama and sibling teasing make their appearance along with comradeship and protectiveness. Grant and Jules seem like an unlikely pair when you judge by their outward disposition. Grant is angry and isolates himself from others. Jules is always happy and outgoing. Their chemistry together is undeniable and explosive once Grant stops denying his feelings. Power to the pixie 🧚‍♂️!

Another 5 Star Read!. I don’t know what it is about Melissa Foster’s writing that always makes me an emotional mess. She writes such meaningful characters that you can’t help but get emotionally involved in their story. Grant and Jules might have been opposites but there were so many reasons that they were perfect together. As always what a great family and group of friends, that I can’t wait to get to know better.

All the feels. This book has it all! It is emotional, sweet, romantic, and sexy! She’s his light to his darkness and everything he needs to heal and move on to his future. So many things happen in this book but it is wonderfully written and pulled together so nicely. Well done.

Scotching! Hot! Sizzling!. I absolutely fell in love with Grant and Jules’s story. This book was so heartfelt, touching and moving it will make laugh and cry. How this pixie of girl who change this angry and injure man’s life around. This is a must read and highly recommended. Melissa Foster absolutely did it this time.

Not even finished and ready to review!. I’m only up to chapter 14, not even half way, and I have to say I LOVE this story! The characters are uniquely flawed and yet powerful, the plot is always moving forward but it’s the genuine love that is expressed by the characters that just makes me unable to put it down.

Love for eternity. The story of Jules and Grant took me on a few unexpected turns, just as I was thinking the story was over, we find out what Grant had been happier to stay away from home. Grant lost his leg while on a mission with his military group. While at home he fell in love with Jules, a girl he knew his entire life but now she was a woman. They fell hard for one another, a beautiful love story.

Grant Silver finally returns to Silver Island after months of healing, losing part of his leg during a mission with Darkbird. All he has ever know was the military and private security with Darkbird. Now he needs to figure out the rest of his life without digging himself into a dark place and thinking he has nothing to offer. Jules Steele, a cancer survivor, has the totally opposite mind set than Grant and is grateful for everything...family, friends, community and takes nothing for granted. She knows deep down inside Grant, he was always about friends, family, community before he lost his leg. Can she get into his mind and heart to show him there is still more life to live? He only needs to let his heart open to all that's being offered his way...and a love for all time will be his....

Warm fuzzy read. Jules and Grant’s story is one of second chances, true love, sugary sweet times with a little angst throughout. Great story but I have yet to read a Melissa Foster that didn’t give me a sweet happy feeling while reading it.

Pixie Dust. Jules Steele, the youngest and maybe the most naive of the Steele siblings, is a ray of sunshine. She’s optimistic, funny, supportive, and a survivor. As a child cancer survivor, her family has always been extremely overprotective. Her brother Archer, the worst. She and her bestie, Bellamy, run a little shop on Main Street and would be extremely happy living forever on Silver Island. Now they just need to find their soulmate... Grant Silver enlisted at 18yrs old, right out of high school. He couldn’t wait to leave his dad and Silver Island behind. Grant would come home for short visits while on leave, but never intended to live his life on Silver Island. After Grant lost part of his leg to an EID explosion, he was sent home to rehabilitate and try to figure out what to do with the rest of his life. He was angry, angry, angry and retreated off to an out of the way shack. He never had visitors and didn’t invite anyone over—especially his family. The only thing that could stand to be around him was Crash, a stray cat. Grant was NOT a cat guy! Until....a visit from Pix. Jules harbored a secret crush on Grant for years, but it was her love for her best friend that sent her in search of Grant. Bellamy is Grant’s sister. Jules showed up to his shack and persuaded Grant to attend the Halloween party—for Bellamy’s sake. Reluctant, Grant agreed. Little by little, Jules got under Grant’s skin and pulled him out of his shell. Jules listened and supported Grant, didn’t tell him how he should feel or how he should live his life—unlike his family. It was through Jules’ optimistic outlook on life and his art, that he was able to work through some of his anger. Life is TOUGH! This was a powerful story of how lies can destroy a family. After Grant’s parents separated, his dad never seemed to want the kids to stay the night or visit. His parents lived in separate homes. As a prominent family, they were forced to “act” as if they were the perfect family in public, while they were falling apart in private. Grant was overwhelmed with trying to make sure his younger siblings were cared for while his mom was struggling to hold them together. In reality, this was not the case. I loved Jules’ innocence and her ability to see the best in everyone. I enjoyed her insight to Grant’s amazing art. Her interactions with Crash were sooo adorable, as was Crash carrying around that little green bow of Jules. I loved Grant’s enthusiasm in helping wounded vets like Saul. The ability to dig out of the darkness and see that maybe your life is better, more purposeful when you follow your heart....SWOON! All around AWESOME, AMAZING story of love. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

I’m so in love with Grant and Jules. Melissa what have you done to me!! I’m so in love with this book!!! This is a definite must read!! Melissa Foster, you have done it again! Love all your work. So, excited to read what you write next!

Hot, Sexy, and Beautiful!. Can the sweetest, most sparkly pixie on Silver Island bring the brooday and gruff Grant Silver back to being the person he once was or at least a newly revised version of his former self? That sure seems to be the mission Jules Steele has given herself. Jules does not tell or insist on what she thinks Grant should do with his life but supports his thoughts/ideas and shows him just how much the people of Silver Island love him. Jules just might be the one person who can help Grant find a new purpose for his life since he is no longer able to be a soldier. These characters created by Melissa have such depth you almost feel/believe they are real. There were many moments full of laughter and times when my heart just ached for them both. The between-the-sheets moments are hot and quite creative/believable for a character who has lost a leg. I also love how Jules “sees” Grant as a “man” and at the same time is always considerate of his “new normal” as an amputee. I sure love this couple and all the characters of Silver Island created by Melissa Foster in My True Love. This is book two of the “Steeles of Silver Island” series. Wonderful and Captivating. Captivating, romantic, and steamy with a side of comedy, an absolutely wonderful story! Ms. Foster does a great job of building the characters both individually and as a couple. You may need to have tissues handy as this small town romance may leave you misty eyed. This is more than a romance book. Grant is suffering, withdrawn and resentful for the way his parents behaved in the past. He’s trying to find his place in the world and struggling at times. Jules has her life together on the professional side but has yet to meet “the one” and experience love. As their relationship moves along, they each grow in their own way. The way Jules is so optimistic and happy go lucky is a breath of fresh air but the brooding Grant doesn’t understand how she can always be that way. As their relationship develops, Grant begins to understand why and how Jules is that way. The side characters — siblings, friends, and Crash — just add more to the story with the teasing and loving support. One of my favorite scenes is the group text Jules’ sister accidentally sends to the entire family instead of just the sisters. Pure romance!. Wow this book was pure romance that Melissa Foster excels at. There is a lot of getting to know the characters in the beginning which really set the stage for the later part of the book. The characters of Grant Silver and Jules Steele are made for each other. But there is conflict from the very beginning as Grant is in an emotionally dark place. He needs to heal and reconnect with family that brings out some unexpected secrets. I absolutely loved this beautifully written book. Melissa Foster has another hit and leaves the reader wanting for more books.

My True Love. You need to read the previous books before this one. Lots of random characters with history related to this story. Book can be quite tedious, with professions of misery, angst, and other feelings, going on for pages. I skipped sections just to get yo the story.

Grumpy One + Sunshiny One = perfection!. This wonderful story took all my favorite tropes...friends to lovers, bff’s sibling and small town romance...and added my newest obsession, the Grumpy One and the Sunshiny One, into one big pile of awesomeness! Jules has been sprinkling happiness and positivity over Silver Island long before she hit Grant with her own brand of pixie dust over Halloween. This wounded warrior doesn’t stand a chance against the understanding and acceptance that his Pix brings to their relationship. Jules is sweet as lemonade but without the naïveté. As a childhood cancer survivor, she understands that everything isn’t rosy all the time, for all people. She gives Grant a different perspective to his new normal, as well as a guiding hand to hold. I think this book is my favorite by Ms.Foster, which is huge given the number of stories I’ve read in her impressive catalogue. With little to no drama between our couple, I never felt like I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. I could just enjoy Jules and Grant while they began their next chapter together. I will say, I’m always going to need a family tree to reference while reading this author’s books! While each book in a series can be read alone, she does an incredible job of dropping little hints about other characters across various series, in addition to the wide cast of family members and friends in whichever book I’m reading. It’s fun to see who I remember and who I need to catch up with. My True Love was a fantastic way to spend a few hours curled up, wishing I lived on Silver Island with the whole Steele and Silver crew!

It’s the quiet ones. I loved this story. It is so endearing. Grant and jules are a perfect pair. He's angry about what happened to him and his team. She is full of life and happiness. Two complete opposites, yet they work well together. She's the first person he opens up to about his injuries and she doesn't care about the fact he isn't whole. People today are so set on how they appear to others. I know because I have lived that life. If you are different, you are ostracized. If you are injured or sick, others want nothing to do with you. They treat you like a piranha. Jules is so accepting of everything and everyone. She sees the positive in any situation. Yes, it can get annoying when things are not going your way, but her attitude is refreshing. And she opens eyes to seeing things differently. I think Jules is one of my most favorite females in a long time. Usually, I look for strong, fierce women as role models, but she reminds me that sometimes the quiet, happy women are also role models.

True Love. A battled war veteran and a woman with a zest for life. Grant returned from war and Jules returned from a battle with cancer. Can Jules help Grant see that there is more to life and can Grant fight for himself and his future. I’ve never read a Melissa book that didn’t make you laugh, make you cry and fall in love with the characters like they are part of your family. This is the 2nd book in the series so you should be able to catch up rather quickly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

AMAZING!!! Must Read!. THIS STORY IS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! My True Love is part of the Love in Bloom series but can be read as a standalone. Every time I read a Melissa Foster book, I think, “This is my favorite book so far!” And then I read the next book she’s written and think, “Nope, this is my favorite!” But then I read My True Love and can easily say that this is my absolute favorite to date. This story between Grant and Jules is so beautifully written that it will bring tears to your eyes and leave your heart bursting at the seams. Every good romance you read will have characters that will make you swoon, and this one is no exception. Grant Silver is an absolute dreamboat! But he’s so much more than that. Grant has dealt with so much emotional turmoil in his life, on and off the battlefield, that he’s at a point where he just feels lost. While his family remembers Grant as being such a happy guy who lived life to the fullest, he’s now floundering as the guy who lost a limb in and IED explosion and doesn’t know what to do with his life. He’s harboring a secret that his family doesn’t know about that will keep him from ever being able to join his brothers back in the military. But that’s all Grant has ever known and what he feels he’s supposed to do. Then Jules comes into his life wearing the sexiest Pixie costume he’s ever seen, determined to bring him back to his family and friends, and he doesn’t stand a chance! Jules has had her own fair share of hard knocks having had cancer at a very young age, but she has never let life get her down. She loves with her whole heart, and luckily for Grant, her heart wants him to be happy. Jules can’t help but make those around her smile. She’s just so genuine and has such a good heart. You couldn’t help cheering her on on her mission to help Grant get back to living again. And when Grant FINALLY opens his eyes to what is right in front of him...FIREWORKS!!! I just have to say, Thank You Melissa Foster for writing these stories that can transport us to another world. You make us feel like we’re a part of these stories and when you’re done reading the book, you feel like you’ve just made new friends. To anyone who’s debating whether or not they want to purchase this book...DO IT!!! And then tell all your friends to do it also, because you won’t regret it!

Loved it. From start to finish I was hooked on Grant Silver and Jules Steele’s story, two survivors who have faced death and beaten it. Melissa Foster writes stories with characters who you cannot help but fall in love with. She is not afraid to show them at their most vulnerable and this is certainly the case in My True Love. This story resonated with me, it buried in deep and took hold and refused to let me go. Returning home to Silver Island, Grant is overwhelmed and feeling smothered by the community he grew up in. Grant needs to decide what he wants to do now that his military career has ended, a man who is bitter and resentful. Having survived cancer Jules knows how precious it is to wake up everyday. Like me, she is grateful for every day and appreciates it now more than ever. Can Jules show Grant that his life isn’t over, that it has changed, yes, but it isn’t over? Her warmth and happiness frustrate him but slowly and surely she brings light, happiness and love into his solitary existence My True Love is a heart warming, beautiful love story, of two damaged souls who come together and embark on a beautiful journey together. I can’t remember when I last wanted a couple to find the love that they both deserved like Grant and Jules.

Ticked all my boxes. This is a captivating story that will appeal to all romance lovers, I was drawn in to Grant Silver and Jules Steele’s story from the first chapter and there was no putting down until I had read the final line. Two survivors who have faced death come together in this wonderful story, Ms Foster knows how to give us characters to fall in love with, she is never afraid to show her characters strengths as well as their vulnerabilities and in My True Love we see both sides of Jules and Grant. Grant returns home to Silver Island with his military career over, he is bitter and is struggling to cope with the community he grew up in welcoming home with open arms, she feels like he doesn’t deserve the welcome they seem intent on giving him.... Jules has fought cancer and won, she is grateful for every morning she wakes up and she is determined to make the most of everyday so can this strong, determined woman show Grant that life really is worth living, that the more we put into ours lives the more we will get out of it but more importantly his life is not over . Her kindness is something Grant struggles with but she slowly chips away at the walls he has built around himself and she brings light and happiness to a man determined to live alone. My True Love touched me on so many levels, it’s a beautifully written love story about two damaged souls learning to get strength from each other and it’s a heartfelt romance that will stay with me long after this review is written. Another wonderful romance from the very talented Ms Foster.

I could not put the book down and became invested in Grant and Jules love story. I loved Jules and her "live every day to the fullest" attitude. Seeing Grant grow out of his personal darkness and fall in love with Jules was as magical as pixie dust and lightning bugs dancing in the night. My True Love is a classic Melissa Foster story that is a must read and on my TOP 2021 list.

MY TRUE LOVE is a story of family and relationships, loss, struggle and acceptance, friendships and love. The premise is emotional and real; the romance is seductive and intimate; the characters are playful and protective. MY TRUE LOVE is a wonderful and uplifting story.

Fantastic Book!!!. OMG the Feels!!!! The beginning is gut wrenching, heartbreaking and angst filled. Middle and end are fun filled and full of love. Grant is a battle scarred amputee veteran who’s angry at the world and his new life. He wants to go back in the field and is hiding a secret from everyone he loves. Jules is a life loving cancer survivor, she knows everyday isn’t a given and lives every day to its fullest. Walk with them while they fall in love; will Grant get his wish to go back in the field in some aspect and walk away from Jules or will he stay with Jules and create a life. Another amazing Melissa Foster book. Can’t wait for more!!!!
