quinncarter. one of my favorite books ever, very fast and easy to read. the list concept was one of my favorite thing about this book and i related to the main character, we even had some things in common. anyways read it it’s really goood

This book has a chokehold on me. I love it so much. The characters, the dialogue, everything. Its so perfect. I love how it talks about the stereotypes for black people, and the representation. I love it so much I can’t I even explain.

Great representation!. I really enjoyed reading this book. I finally felt like I could relate to a character and I thought it was well written with great representation for young black women.

Feels! Feels! Feels!. I just recently starting reading again and for a while it was mostly nonfiction, but fiction books like this make me want to read a million more just like it! The world that Joya writes pulls you in so easily, I literally loved it. It’s definitely a giggle and kick your feet in the air type of book in the best way. It makes you giddy and not just for the romance between the two main characters, but for Quinn in general and her growth. Can’t wait to read more from this author!

So touching and an AWESOME plot!!. I love love love this book! I’ve read it in a week & I must say that this is the best romance book I’ve read in awhile. I enjoyed the character development in all of the characters. It’s amazing to gave a romance book with black characters. I can’t wait to read more from Joya!

Great. Read it in 3 days. Quinn has a phenomenal voice and I loved how it resonated with me as a black female. Also, the plot kept me hooked the entire time :)

Beautiful!!!. The book was a bit slow at first but it’s a keeper. It reeled me in and I couldn’t stop thinking about Quinn’s adventures! It felt good to read about a young black teen navigating life and getting to a happy ending. I love Quinn’s character development and hope to hear more about her and Carter at UT.

plot holes were its downfall. Overall good read. I would have liked to see some closure with Matt, Quinn's dad really get to the root of his anti-blackness. Also, her parents’ relationship was confusing in general.

Excuse me while I ugly cry. I loved this book surprisingly. I took a chance on the book because of the art and synopsis. I did not regret this read. Valuable lessons learned as well. And the romance was entertaining and good as well.
